The repairs were completed, and my car was returned in decent condition, but the overall experience was just okay. The work was fine, but it didn't feel particularly thorough or impressive. Communication could have been better -- I wasn't updated regularly on the progress, and there were small delays. Pricing seemed fair, but nothing stood out as exceptional. Overall, it's a serviceable option if you need basic auto body work, but I wouldn't consider it my first choice!!!!!! read more

Update! My boyfriend and I came to Sam's again when we noticed low pressure alerts for our tires. The staff assisted us on correcting the tire pressure and didn't even charge us... we tried to give him $ but he refused to take it. This place no matter what is always here for me. They have always provided the COMPLETE truth about price and told me what other options I could have at other places that may do it quicker and a dollar or two cheaper (the other place was auto zone and it was actually worse for other reasons). I honestly have had a car since I was 16yrs old now I am 35 so I have been to a lot of mechanics and I have never found one that I trust this much. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years, but no longer. Since the shutdown, I have been consistently overcharged, most recently by double what a simple maintenance tune up and belt replacement ($800!!) should have cost. I believe they took advantage, as I am a single woman. The invoice was not itemized for labor and parts, and it was obvious they wrote whatever random price they wanted. And $800 was the price AFTER I complained. Beware of their unethical pricing practices. I regret not filing a consumer complaint with NYS Attorney General. read more

They fixed my front end after I hit a deer and they cleaned my car which I wasn't expecting workmanship was great although I had problem opening up my hood to put oil in the car took it back this afternoon and I had a slow leak in my right front tire I waited less than 30 minutes and they fixed both. My front tires blew out while out of town. I went to Sam's Auto Body shop due to the great reviews. Well they not only did they fix the damage but my car looks spanking new again! They did an amazing job. In addition my back brakes needed to be replaced that same week. Ken and his team were able to quickly order the brakes and router and have them replaced by end of week. Also they have reasonable pricing. I called my dealer services for a quote and it was double the cost vs. what I paid at Sam's. Hopefully I won't have any issues with the car in the near future but if I do, I'll definitely go back to Sam's. read more

My wife and I had our Volvo XC60 serviced 1 week ago here. Our experience was top notch. **What happened** Our Volvo was damaged by a commercial delivery truck on the driver side. Amazingly (!!!) the owner of the business agreed to pay for all damages. I was stunned. Though the damage was superficial, it necessitated the replacement of two car door segments of our vehicle. **Initial contact with Sam's** We called Sam's and spoke with Kenny. We know him from our last visit a couple years back (for a different Volvo). He is awesome. Kenny emailed us a pdf quote the same day - which we were able to forward to the business owner (the guy who agreed to pay for the damages). We dropped off our car on a monday, Kenny confirmed that payment had already been taken care of (before I gave him the keys), and told me I'd be able to pick it up that friday. **Condition of our car** First off, the appearance of the car was drastically better. We don't really wash our car that much . The guys at Sam's cleaned and detailed our vehicle prior to us picking it up. The interior was spotless. This was not at all expected, and just made it so much more of a positive experience. The repair was also flawless. The doors looked brand new. Lastly... and strangely, the cars seems to drive a little better now also. I suspect they tweaked some of the firmware to smooth out the bumps with acceleration. Just a hunch, but without a doubt, it drives very nicely. I'm mentioning this only because sometimes, mechanics screw things up inadvertently when making what appears to be a totally unrelated fix - resulting in windows that won't roll down correctly, or air conditioning that feels like it's from the 1970s. Prior to going to Sam I checked two other places in Jersey City, and their responses were: 1st one: I won't tell you how much this will cost, just put me in contact with your insurer 2nd one: Hmm about three grand. Here's a printed estimate for it. Will take about two weeks to complete. Both cases left me with a sketchy feeling about them. In the end I went with Sam because it was the only in network body shop with my insurer Metlife within a 5 mile radius, and I'm really happy I did so. My vehicle had damage across the right doors due a bad turn next to an oversized snowbank that had frozen into solid concrete. The front door needed the handle replaced and some extra paint work, the passenger door needed the entire shell replaced given the magnitude of the dents. I brought the vehicle in for the team to check and they quoted the cost around $2k and time to complete around 4 days. Within a few hours insurance approved the quote and the following Monday I dropped the vehicle off with them. Today Friday I picked the vehicle up. There's a lot to appreciate about them. The first is that I don't feel like they're shadily overcharging, and that genuine business feel is a departure from the first two body shops I checked. The second is they take the effort to polish up the entire vehicle (I gave it to them thoroughly covered in months worth of dust and salt) and hand back the keys for something that looks straight out of the showroom. And finally of course is how seamless the whole process is (with Metlife at least) in getting the quote prepared, approved, and having the work done quickly. I hope I have very few reasons to revisit a body shop in the future, but if I do I have absolutely no hesitation to come back to Sam's for their work. read more

We had a dent in our front panel above the wheel (our car was used and had a pre-existing dent which was then made worse by someone else trying to "fix" it). Ken did a great job repairing and repainting it. It looks like new! They even cleaned the car. It was finished 2 days after we dropped it off, and was fairly priced. I was recommended to use Sam's Auto Body Future by a friend and I can't express to everyone how satisfied I was with having them take care of my car. My point man was Rich, he was the mechanic in charge of my vehicle and he was extremely helpful, he kept me up to date on everything going on with my car and he did a fantastic job fixing my damaged car, it looks almost as new as when I drove it off the lot of the dealership. I cannot say enough great things about Sam's. I have had my car worked on here three times; two of them for pretty major work. The work has been impeccable every time. The charges reasonable. Most auto insurers have an inspector available on site with an appointment, very convenient. If your car needs a couple of extra little things done that is not covered by insurance, they are willing to do it either for free or for a small charge. Everybody who works there is exceptionally pleasant to deal, especially the receptionist who is also very pretty, never a bad thing! I had a straight forward repair replacing some rear and side body panels. I had to wait about a month until they had an open appointment slot, which I took for high demand. They scheduled me and I assume pre-ordered the parts per a Geico assessment record for a what Geico said might be a 5 day job. It was done in 2 and they washed the car too. I don't think it was a complicated job but the communication, speed and execution were great. No complaints at all and I will very likely go to them first for future repairs. read more

I'm a vintage car collector. VW's from the 80s to be specific. I try to avoid painting cars as much as possible. The windshield frame of my beloved mk1 was rusted out and the car was loaded w dents. Not only did they do a fantastic job on my mom's Audi- fixing a really bad dent and redoing the paint absolutely perfectly- but then when I called months later desperate for help because my boss's car had run out of gas (um... duh!) they literally walked a can of gas to me. Excellent work and customer service! I took my 2020 Land Rover in for some dent repairs around the body and I'm extremely satisfied. I live nearby but found them on google by the positive reviews so thought I would give them a shot. From scheduling an appointment, to coming in for a estimate, all the way to drop-off and pick-up, the whole process was easy and seamless. I appreciate their honest quote, which was fair, as I got a few other quotes as well and this was the best. Also, the way they worked directly with my insurance company and followed up for payment was so easy (this was a major concern of mine). When I received my Land Rover back everything was fixed and they even fixed a few parts that they didn't even have to (did not charge me extra). Car was detailed and ready for me to pick up. I am extremely pleased and will be coming back and referring other folks to get their vehicles serviced here. Side note- I took my car in yesterday to get a steering issue looked at. Both Ray and Ken were very nice and took my car in to take a look. They fixed the problem and refused to take payment from me. This here is just professionals being decent human beings. Went there for Geico inspection. So easy. This week, mid move with a car full of boxes, our battery died. Honda wouldn't answer the phone, eventually wouldn't commit to seeing us for over a week, total run around, I was so nervous. Called Sam's. He told us to come down right away, ordered the part, next day less than 24 hours later, had it back to us with a new battery. Charged us next to nothing for labor. Great people with great attitudes. Sam is one of the most friendly and helpful person I have ever met in auto industry. When I first moved to NYC, I stop by to have my front bumper drilled to install my plates and since than I went there for everything. His work is flawless and he will try his best to give you a great price with exceptional service. I went there multiple times both to make some upgrades and repairs. And every time, he did his job super fast. If he finds a problem in your car he will go ahead and order the parts for you and let you know that he is already ordered the parts and tells you when will it be ready. If you decide not to fix the problem, he will just send the parts back and won't charge you anything. I had a major issue with my car around 3 pm on Friday right before Christmas and needed my car for a 7 hour road trip for next day. He bought the necessary parts for me and agreed to work late so that my car would be ready for next day 7 am for very reasonable price! He did an amazing job and saved my whole trip!
