I was so happy now it just a mess

I bought my first car at 19, and it turned into a total fiasco from week one. Here's my blunt, no-nonsense take so you don't fall into the same trap. Yes, the iconic "check engine" light appeared within days of driving off the lot. You'd think a fresh purchase would be less problematic, but nope. My first car purchase as a 19-year-old was a disappointing lesson in buyer beware. A check engine light within the first week is a major red flag, and the cascade of reliability, maintenance, and financial headaches that followed made it one of the most stressful experiences of my early adulthood. If you're shopping for your first ride, please do your due diligence, and don't ignore the red flags just to save a few dollars upfront. This place was horrible they miss least you with a great facade but there honestly evil.

Happy with our awesome deal! Eddie was great :)

We had a very good experience at 605 Auto. I didn't know it's been there for decades. We took 3 test drives with Eddie. He was patient, answered all our questions, and we felt we got a good deal. Prior to this we went to Cerritos Toyota and while I thought they were helpful, I felt like we were "little fish in a big ocean". So glad we went to 605 Auto. I would definitely recommend them to friends or family.

Stay away!! Dishonest dealer, we went to try to get a Honda civic but then we liked a blue Camry they have there, salesperson said the car was 20k and it was also advertised in their own website at that price once in the finance office they jack up the price to 23k boom just like that and they also add a 495 anti theft deterrent ? What ? When I call them out on that the finance guy could not specify what was that. If they want 23k then advertise as such don't jack up the price just like that you been warned

Dishonest business practices. Bought a car in June, 8 months later, still no plates. Do not even consider buying here, ask my lawyer.

Hertz Car Sales Norwalk - Pre-existing Defect

I needed an electric car for commuting to work, and all these dealers that I had contacted…read moreon autotrader were adding all these junk fees ie; Lojack, etching, paint protection etc. I had gotten frustrated and ended up doing a google search for lowest priced EV's and Hertz came up, I wasn't aware they were selling used EV's but they were. I went down there and met with Sandra, she was fantastic, and these Bolts were selling fast, so I decided to buy it there and then, and she got me into a 2023 Bolt EV with 12k miles, this car is brand NEW with all factory warranties still in effect. Car drives great, I highly recommend this place and Sandra!!!!! Great job guys!!!!!

My husband and I came to test drive a car we were very excited about. I should have read more…read morereviews before we drove out from Culver City. Mind you, we called ahead of time to let them know we were coming. When we arrived, the car was pulled out in the driveway facing the sun and simply baking in 90 degree weather. My first thought was: if you knew we were coming - why wouldn't you have parked it a few feet away for us in the shade? Whatever, I didn't think much of it. We let the AC blast for ten minutes before taking it out on a decently long test drive. The AC never got cold. When I brought up this observation to my husband, the salesman Frank became agitated and defensive. "Well of course the air doesn't work, we're parked under the sun!" Right - got it. My husband pointed out a visible dent on the door. Frank was rude and annoyed with us. He threw his hands up in the air and said he'd be inside the dealership if we needed anything else. We didn't.

McKenna Porsche - Damage

Recently brought my 2022 Targa GTS in for service at McKenna Porsche in Norwalk. Irvine was a tiny…read morebit closer but due to McKenna breaking ground on Porsche Anaheim (which will be much closer to me), I wanted to initiate a relationship with one of the SAs at McKenna. Scheduling was straightforward with plenty of availability. Jenny Gordon was recommended via a Rennlist thread and did a great job during intake and keeping me informed throughout the service appointment. I initially went in for ASB2 , WSA4, and 2401. 2401 was the pressing one as PCNA would only comp the windshield replacement under the factory four-year warranty. CPO / extended warranties excluded. With my factory warranty expiring in mid-October I figured now would be an opportune time before the kids head back to school and work travel picks up during the fall. What really impressed me was an issue that I only brought up when I was dropping off the car. There had been some annoying slow-speed rattles when going over bumps or entering/exiting driveways. Since it was intermittent, I figured it wouldn't be taken seriously. Jenny assured me they would look into it. The car never sat and I was contacted just a few days later for pickup. Everything was addressed satisfactorily. But what won me over was what the tech (shoutout to Jerry) did to address the rattle. I figured there'd be 30+ miles put on the car to try to reproduce and address the rattle. Instead, the tech did figure 8s outside the service bays to reproduce and check his fixes after every attempt. Just look at how in-depth the tech went to try to address the rattle: 11420 FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION, STRESS ON FRONT AND REAR AXLE CARRIERS PERFORMED ROAD TEST. VERIFIED CONCERN - FOUND THERE IS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF CLICKING HEARD THROUGHOUT VEHICLE WHEN MANUEVERING OVER ROAD DIPS AND WHEN STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED. PERFORMED NOISE TRACE AND DIAGNOSIS AND FOUND NOISE IS HEARD AT FRONT AXLE AND REAR AXLE ENDS. RAISED VEHICLE. INSPECT VEHICLE UNDERBODY - REMOVED ALL 4 WHEELS AND INSPECT CENTRAL WHEEL LOCKS FOR DAMAGES / CONTACT SURFACE TO WHEEL HUB OK. FOUND CENTRAL LOCKS DRY - APPLIED GREASE FOR WHEEL LOCKS. CLEAN CONTACT SURFACES. MOUNT AND TORQUE WHEELS TO SPECIFICATION. REPEAT DRIVE - FOUND NOISE STILL PRESENT. DISCONNECT SWAY BAR LINKS FRONT AND REAR, RETEST -FOUND NOISE NOT AS PROFOUND BUT STILL CLICKS BUT NOT AS EXCESSIVE. REMOVED UNDERBODY PANELING. CHECK TORQUE ON UNDERBODY SUSPENSION. CONFIRM BOLTS ARE TIGHT. PLACE VEHICLE ONTO ALIGNMENT RACK - LOOSEN FRONT SUSPENSION COMPONENTS TO RELIEVE MOUNTING STRESS. TIGHTEN AND LIFT VEHICLE. REPLACED BOLTS AT FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION AND TORQUE TO SPECIFICATION. REPLACED SWAY BAR LINK MOUNTING NUTS AND TORQUE TO SPECIFICATION. CLEAN SURFACES AND REPEAT ROAD TEST. OK AFTER RE-TORQUE. INSTALL UNDERBODY MOUNTING. FINAL ROAD TEST. OK. This was my first visit service visit at McKenna and they set the bar pretty high! I'm returning soon to get my annual oil change and a loose door check inspected. Noticed it after I picked up the car (hand-tightened it to hold me over). And since my factory warranty will be ending soon, wanted them to look everything over. MISC NOTES: PCA's 10% discount doesn't seem to apply. My loaner was a base Macan. In sport mode it responds decently well. My wife liked how it handled compared to our much heavier Rivian R1S (can't fight physics after all...). The service lane is pretty tight and when you get blocked in by all the other customers, it might take a little time to get out. Really looking forward to the Anaheim location opening up, it'll be much closer and I assume service ingress / egress will be much improved. Outside of service, I assume their sales team is equally good since my neighbor and another close friend both went out of their way to purchase their vehicles from McKenna.

They were professional, knowledgeable, honest, and truly cared about making sure I found the perfect Porsche. Michael in Finance made the paperwork easy to understand and was efficient while ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. Geraldine in the Service Department was equally outstanding--friendly, attentive, and committed to delivering excellent customer care. The teamwork between Omar, Sam, Michael, and Geraldine exceeded all of my expectations. They are true assets to Porsche and represent the brand with professionalism, integrity, and outstanding customer service. I highly recommend McKenna Porsche to anyone looking for an exceptional buying and ownership experience. Thank you all for making this such a memorable experience!

I've bought at least three vehicles from the GSA Auction at the Norwalk Auction over the past…read moredecade, and my family has purchased an additional three or four. The vehicles always seem to be well maintained, clean fleet vehicles. The staff at at NAA has always been pleasant and as expedient as one might expect when dealing with government paperwork. I don't think the deals are as smoking as they were 10 years ago, but I just purchased a clean Dodge Grand Caravan for about $100 over low blue book, and I didn't need to pay sales tax when I went to the DMV. Frankly, you're going to struggle to get a better deal on the street. If you do purchase from the GSA, here's a tip - the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) is your friend. Email the FOIA folks requesting service records, etc; their response has been less than I hoped, but far more than a Carfax report, and it's an excuse to use the FOIA :) Regarding the negative reviews I've seen - If you don't have a dealer's licence, don't expect to get into the non-GSA auctions.

Deputy Alvarado was very kind and helpful, which I appreciated, because the facility itself took zero accountability. After reading other reviews, I felt validated seeing that I am clearly not the only person who has had a bad experience here. The item taken from me had both monetary and sentimental value, which makes this even more upsetting. It is beyond disturbing that people trust this place with their property and leave feeling violated. Even though the lady at the window was polite, this whole experience made the staff seem untrustworthy and dishonest. I would not trust this facility or anyone working there with my vehicle or personal property. I will absolutely be escalating this matter and will take legal action if necessary. People deserve to know what kind of business they are dealing with. Shame on this facility. P.S. The lady at the window may act nice, but based on my experience, I would not trust the staff at this facility at all.
