Recently brought my 2022 Targa GTS in for service at McKenna Porsche in Norwalk. Irvine was a tiny bit closer but due to McKenna breaking ground on Porsche Anaheim (which will be much closer to me), I wanted to initiate a relationship with one of the SAs at McKenna. Scheduling was straightforward with plenty of availability. Jenny Gordon was recommended via a Rennlist thread and did a great job during intake and keeping me informed throughout the service appointment. I initially went in for ASB2 , WSA4, and 2401. 2401 was the pressing one as PCNA would only comp the windshield replacement under the factory four-year warranty. CPO / extended warranties excluded. With my factory warranty expiring in mid-October I figured now would be an opportune time before the kids head back to school and work travel picks up during the fall. What really impressed me was an issue that I only brought up when I was dropping off the car. There had been some annoying slow-speed rattles when going over bumps or entering/exiting driveways. Since it was intermittent, I figured it wouldn't be taken seriously. Jenny assured me they would look into it. The car never sat and I was contacted just a few days later for pickup. Everything was addressed satisfactorily. But what won me over was what the tech (shoutout to Jerry) did to address the rattle. I figured there'd be 30+ miles put on the car to try to reproduce and address the rattle. Instead, the tech did figure 8s outside the service bays to reproduce and check his fixes after every attempt. Just look at how in-depth the tech went to try to address the rattle: 11420 FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION, STRESS ON FRONT AND REAR AXLE CARRIERS PERFORMED ROAD TEST. VERIFIED CONCERN - FOUND THERE IS AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF CLICKING HEARD THROUGHOUT VEHICLE WHEN MANUEVERING OVER ROAD DIPS AND WHEN STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED. PERFORMED NOISE TRACE AND DIAGNOSIS AND FOUND NOISE IS HEARD AT FRONT AXLE AND REAR AXLE ENDS. RAISED VEHICLE. INSPECT VEHICLE UNDERBODY - REMOVED ALL 4 WHEELS AND INSPECT CENTRAL WHEEL LOCKS FOR DAMAGES / CONTACT SURFACE TO WHEEL HUB OK. FOUND CENTRAL LOCKS DRY - APPLIED GREASE FOR WHEEL LOCKS. CLEAN CONTACT SURFACES. MOUNT AND TORQUE WHEELS TO SPECIFICATION. REPEAT DRIVE - FOUND NOISE STILL PRESENT. DISCONNECT SWAY BAR LINKS FRONT AND REAR, RETEST -FOUND NOISE NOT AS PROFOUND BUT STILL CLICKS BUT NOT AS EXCESSIVE. REMOVED UNDERBODY PANELING. CHECK TORQUE ON UNDERBODY SUSPENSION. CONFIRM BOLTS ARE TIGHT. PLACE VEHICLE ONTO ALIGNMENT RACK - LOOSEN FRONT SUSPENSION COMPONENTS TO RELIEVE MOUNTING STRESS. TIGHTEN AND LIFT VEHICLE. REPLACED BOLTS AT FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION AND TORQUE TO SPECIFICATION. REPLACED SWAY BAR LINK MOUNTING NUTS AND TORQUE TO SPECIFICATION. CLEAN SURFACES AND REPEAT ROAD TEST. OK AFTER RE-TORQUE. INSTALL UNDERBODY MOUNTING. FINAL ROAD TEST. OK. This was my first visit service visit at McKenna and they set the bar pretty high! I'm returning soon to get my annual oil change and a loose door check inspected. Noticed it after I picked up the car (hand-tightened it to hold me over). And since my factory warranty will be ending soon, wanted them to look everything over. MISC NOTES: PCA's 10% discount doesn't seem to apply. My loaner was a base Macan. In sport mode it responds decently well. My wife liked how it handled compared to our much heavier Rivian R1S (can't fight physics after all...). The service lane is pretty tight and when you get blocked in by all the other customers, it might take a little time to get out. Really looking forward to the Anaheim location opening up, it'll be much closer and I assume service ingress / egress will be much improved. As a longtime Mercedes-Benz customer, I have experienced what a premium brand car purchase should be, and my experience at McKenna did not come close. At times, it felt as though the dealership management viewed selling me the car as a favor rather than earning my business. The team was unable to adequately explain several vehicle features, and I ultimately had to rely on YouTube and another Porsche dealership for assistance. I've had consistently terrible experiences with McKenna Porsche's service department. While my cars were in their care, both of my 911s were damaged. The first incident left a deep gash on the rear taillight and bumper -- they simply polished it until it looked passable instead of properly repairing it. The second incident occurred when they drove my car into a sloped driveway and completely destroyed the front bumper. On another occasion, they returned my 911 with the seat recliner pull tab completely ripped off. I've brought my car in multiple times for rattles, and each time it's returned with no improvement whatsoever. I've gone through three different service managers already because of their constant staff turnover. My current service manager is Isaac, but communication remains poor -- I constantly have to chase them for updates and rarely get timely responses. To make things worse, one of their pickup and drop-off personnel once told me to "stop playing games" after a simple miscommunication about my address. This is hands down the most unprofessional and careless Porsche service center I've ever dealt with. If you value your vehicle, time, and professionalism -- take your business elsewhere. read more

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. *** I bought a brand new 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid (about $250,000) from McKenna Porsche Norwalk and it has been the worst high end car purchase and ownership support experience I have ever had. This did not feel like a Porsche experience at any point. It was worse than a used car purchase. McKenna could not care less about service or the Porsche brand. I rarely write negative reviews, and I avoided posting anything publicly for over a year because I tried to resolve this privately through sales, service, management, and even ownership. My intent is not to attack anyone, but after continued silence and core issues still unresolved, I wanted to warn other buyers about what they may be signing up for. From the start, communication was an issue. In Sept 2024 I asked basic questions, including commercial registration for my business and fee estimates, and had to follow up repeatedly just to get responses. The experience I received included constant chasing, broken promises, repeated handoffs, and a complete breakdown in accountability that dragged on into 2026, including being ignored by the owner, Danny McKenna. Danny sent me a postcard after I bought the car letting me know that if I ever need his help i can call/text him. Delivery in Feb 2025 wasn't "Porsche." It felt like here are the keys, sign the docs, have a nice day. I had to ask for a walkthrough of the car and features. I bought this vehicle without ever seeing it or sitting in it and expected a proper A-Z orientation, especially for a hybrid. Instead, I got minimal guidance, and a Facetime offer from "Porsche Pro." I should not have to teach myself basic ownership on YouTube after spending this kind of money. The culture showed itself immediately. At delivery, I noticed and reported scratches on the phone drawer and was told to wipe it with a microfiber cloth. When it did not come off, I was told "it doesn't matter, you will scratch it anyway." The trunk privacy screen was broken and there were missing tire caps. I repeatedly followed up. Months went by. I also wanted to buy a trunk cargo net, it was promised to be ordered, and I still never received it. No proactive follow-up, no accountability, just silence. They simply don't care about you after you buy the car. The commercial registration was mishandled even though it was communicated repeatedly in writing. The car was registered as auto instead of commercial, and I was later told I had to go to DMV or AAA to fix it myself because their DMV clerk was not familiar with commercial conversion and the original registration had already been processed. I wasted hours at the DMV cleaning up something that never should have been wrong. They overpromised to sell you the car but there was no follow-through. Then the quality issues, which are not minor: * Passenger door rattle, like something is loose inside the panel * Roof noise and rattling * Brake squeak since day one, plus a brake pedal that sinks * Rough shifting and jerking in electric mode * Display freezing on the Porsche logo multiple times per week, with photos * Tire pressure warnings despite normal PSI, with photos * Suspension defect preventing sport modes or lowering the vehicle * Defective tint issues that required replacement * Water spots on the protective wrap that could not be removed * Trunk privacy screen replacement became an issue more than once (including being replaced and still ending up broken again) * Plus additional issues over time I escalated again in 2026, the prior GM (Keith) and salesperson (Raquel) were no longer working there, and the case stalled again after new management promises. The new GM (Lauren) promised a single point of contact, but I was handed back to the same service advisor again. In February 2026, my vehicle was towed in and kept about a week. I was told everything was fixed and "good to go," and told the brake squeak is normal. The rattles were still there afterward. I drove up from San Diego multiple times for service, and after all of that, the core issues remained. The most bizarre part is the silence. I replied to a generic "outstanding service" text stating the rattling was not fixed and the same issues persisted. Nobody responded. I finally contacted the owner, Danny McKenna. He asked for the detailed email history, I sent it and he disappeared. I followed up multiple times for a few weeks and he texted that he did not know anything about my issue and asked which store. After i replied, he ignored my texts and emails after that. That is a ridiculous position to be in after buying a brand-new Porsche for $250k, a year later. The customer service experience at McKenna is very poor. This is the theme: you report issues, provide documentation, you are promised action, then you are ignored until you give up. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE! My 2021 Macan GTS went in for a defective coolant pump, under warranty. They returned my car to me 3 weeks later with OBVIOUS body damage! My driver side panel was chewed up & the GTS logo was GONE, like my car was side-swiped by something. They said NOTHING to us about this! They just returned my car & thought we wouldn't notice the damage!? My car was in PERFECT condition when it arrived there, not a single scratch or ding! We take VERY good care of our Porsches & hand wash them in our garage. They are leisure cars, NOT commuter cars! I sent my car right back to them on the flat bed. They, at first, denied responsibility completely and even accused us (in so many words) of trying to get free body work done and said "this happens to us more often than you think." WHAT?? They finally admitted fault after 3 days & about 10 phone calls! They said they checked their cameras & their car wash did it! NO apologies! They had my car for 35 days!! ZERO apologies, until day 34! ZERO compensation! ZERO credits! Just NOTHING! The entire time they treated us like they were doing us a HUGE favor by ordering the correct pieces, painting them and fixing the damage THEY caused! INSANE! My dash cams were physically disconnected by them on day three, according to our app. Additionally, we have been trying to contact management for over 3 weeks! Still NO REPLY from any manager!! We have called, texted and emailed multiple times asking for a manager to contact us! Still nothing! They DO NOT care about their customers. I have photos, videos and screen shots of everything for proof! Message me if you're interested! EDIT TO ADD: In the interest of fairness, my car was returned this morning after 35 DAYS and it looks fine, they did a good job on the body work. But their customer service is absolute trash!
