My move included moving furniture from White Marsh to Mount Washington, with a stop in Timonium to drop off and pick up more items. A three stop move with lots of stairs at each location was quoted at $750. This was reasonable since I had anticipated spending about $1,000. Their window for a Friday move date was between 10-12. They called when they were about 20 minutes away and met me promptly at 10 AM. Four guys in a huge truck arrived and got right to work. Within half an hour we were on our way to the second stop to drop off a bed and retrieve the rest of the furniture. Off we went to the third and final stop to unload everything. I was nervous about large items fitting up a narrow stairwell, but the guys assured me that if I had measured right, they would have it all fitting in the apartment in no time. That they did. When everything was unloaded, the driver went over the listed items and made sure everything on the list had been moved and put in the apartment. The price quoted was the price I paid, and they were done in exactly two hours. I find it frustrating when businesses try to extract as much as they can from customers through various pretexts and dishonest practices. JFP Express, however, was honest and transparent from the start. Jason was very courteous and communicative, arranging everything seamlessly. I had one issue with the frankly crappy reassembly of my captain's bed. When the movers left, the bed was bowed, drawers would not close completely and the slats were falling out or not fitting in at all. I reported the problem to Serena and it was corrected promptly. A crew came and reassembled the bed to eliminate the problems. Finally, Serena is the best. She is responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and very easy to work with. That was a big mistake. This time I went right to Doyle. You get what you pay for, my friends. Ryan, the owner, was very responsive and we made an appointment to do a video walk-through of our condo. We did the walk-through, he asked a lot of questions and then he promptly sent an estimate. We have a lot of things so it took five guys and two trucks. The crew leader contacted me the day before to confirm the details and they showed up promptly the day of. They were incredibly friendly, fun, and energetic the entire time. And very polite. They treated all of our things very well and didn't have a problem moving any of the weird odds and ends we couldn't find a way to pack. When we arrived they put everything in the new house where we wanted it and even though we could tell they were suffering from the extreme heat and the weight and amount of our things, they never lagged or complained. I strongly advise anyone considering Doyle Moving Services to review their contract carefully, as…read moreit contains highly predatory and legally questionable clauses for Maryland consumers. Most concerning is the inclusion of a "Confession of Judgment" clause. This aggressive legal tactic attempts to strip consumers of their right to due process in court, and it has been explicitly illegal in Maryland consumer contracts since 2020. Furthermore, their opening paragraph states they "in no event function... as an interstate or intrastate common carrier." This is a massive red flag, as it appears to be a deliberate loophole to dodge the state's mandatory cargo insurance and liability protections that legitimate movers are required to carry. Upon requesting that Doyle strike these clauses from their contract, they refused to do so, because they "do over 1,000 moves a year and send the same contract to every customer we service." Unfortunately, that contract contains illegal and predatory language.

We were moving out of state and they left our home to go to the new house without saying anything to either me or my partner. This was a problem because we weren't finished and once we noticed they left, had to scramble to leave and a lot of stuff was left behind that we had to come back and deal with several times. 2. We had a new television that was mounted to the wall, they took it down and put it in the truck. Unbeknownst to us, they did not wrap it properly and the screen cracked and therefore it was ruined (see attached photos). We called to tell them about it, talked to someone in the office who assured us she would pass on the message when the manager returned to the office - they still have not gotten back to us - contacted 3 times over the last 2 weeks - about compensation/reimbursement for the damage. Additionally, they returned with a second truck the next morning and a few young men to help that on our observation should've been supervised more closely. This move was very expensive and we are disappointed about the poor customer service and lack of attention to our issue. We of course contacted the credit card company but are clearly disappointed in the customer service/lack of response.
