Shout out to Hunter and all the other great servers today! My friend and I sat on their lovely patio and enjoyed a fantastic lunch together. I ordered the wedge salad and it came with crispy bacon and really creamy dressing. It was an A+. I also had to get a side of the shoe string fries and they were perfect. I loved the ranch dressing for dipping! Also, they have a really yummy tropical iced tea that was perfect on a warm day. There were so many great items on the menu. Can't wait to come back soon! read more

Service is prompt and good. Seated right away. Has outdoor patio right in front of Bloomingdale's at fashion island. Parking is like any other outdoor mall and in an abundant. The food was ok. Nothing is go back for. Prices are reasonable. read more

This restaurant is fine. The food is okay. Nothing amazing. It's nice to sit outside and people watch. The staff is nice but it just takes a long time to get food and process everything. We had a burger, chicken salad sandwich and the Tuscan chicken wrap. All were under seasoned and lacked some flavor. The Chicken pozole soup was fantastic. I would probably not come back accept for sitting outside. read more

There were plenty of tables to sit 8 of us at the patio (if they moved tables). We said we can split 4 and 4 if they can't move tables. They said no because it would require two separate servers. Hopefully management sees this and improve on training. read more

Surprising little find inside a Bloomingdale's. Definitely thought that this would be a mall trap, but actually shaped up to be one of the better eateries at Fashion Island. Good food options. Decent portion size. Great for kids. Priced fairly. No wait or crowd on a Saturday lunchtime. I would recommend sitting in the patio area if you can. The space inside feels a little cramp, more like a cozy cafe. Servers were really friendly. Many of the other customers were regulars. read more

Maybe the great food and service last times was a fluke. Today'a service was absolutely horrible - the worst I have had in years. The burger came out VERY pink when ordered medium well. All the food was bland. I could have ignored that but the service wow. He took the order, never came back until food was ready (which took a while). We had to get bread from someone else's server. The host brought us drinks. It wasn't even busy but our server just disappeared. Finally brought us food, and never saw him again for probably 30-45 minutes. I had to ask someone else for refils and the check. The host let me know he asked the server for the check twice now and so finally I went inside and jokingly said if I can't pay in 5 minutes I'm going to leave because I'm done begging to pay lol. I told them about our experience. They laughed with me and a girl printed our ticket and let me pay. She was very friendly and attentive to her tables near us. I asked for a manager and they said there wasn't one in today he called out. I would like a refund but nobody was there to authorize anything or even help out. That was also crazy to me. How do you correctly run a restaurant without any management?! read more

Had the turkey club first time I went. This time I had a Greek salad with chicken. Both times the food was good, but not outstanding. Felt my salad was mostly lettuce. Expected a little more for the price. Good place to people-watch. And I love sitting outside. Wait staff has always been very friendly. read more

Me and my family come here often with a group of about 8-12 each time and we are always accommodated. The food here is GREAT & so surprisingly well priced for being Newport Beach. The service is always great. Today we had Breanna and she was awesome. My family can be annoying too, every time she came back to our table someone had a new request instead of clustering their requests in one trip!. It was embarrassing but she handled it with grace and a great attitude. It was my mom's birthday and having her as a server was awesome. I've never had a dish here that I didn't like. We love coming here. It's the only place we'll eat lunch when we come to fashion island! read more

A cute cafe experience inside fashion islands bloomingdales store. Inside and outdoor seating. On weekends you can enjoy the live music right there. During holidays, you can enjoy the giant tree display. Super friendly people working there Tasty options like salads, sandwiches, and light options to munch on. Dog friendly. 4 plus stars! Ate outside , a bit chilly at 5 pm but dressed appropriately. Not a huge menu but everything we have had in recent visits has been great. The service is friendly and very professional. The prices are fair and less than you would pay at other restaurants of this quality. read more

For my final lunch of Restaurant Week 2023, I decided to go to Fashion Island. It worked out since there were also some other things going on at the mall during that day, so this was a convenient spot. Sadly, the food did not quite live up to my expectations, especially considering this was in Bloomingdales. For $25 you got to pick one appetizer and one entree. One nice thing I will say is that the meal came with complimentary bread and this was the only place (besides chips at a Mexican restaurant) that gave me free bread, so that was a nice surprise. Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus with Caper Remoulade - This sounded good in concept, but the execution is a different story. To my knowledge, I have never had a remoulade sauce before, but from a search, it is usually a bit more orange in color. What I got instead was a very white sauce that tasted like ranch. And I don't mind ranch, but there was so much that it was overwhelming and I tried my best to avoid it. The asparagus and prosciutto were okay, but not too flavorful. Salmon Scampi - All of the entrees I got to choose from sounded really good, but I chose the salmon since I had not had salmon all week and it is my favorite fish. And overall, I did like this dish, but it definitely felt like a step down compared to everything else I had been eating this week. The mushrooms were a bit slimy for my liking, but I enjoyed the mashed potatoes and fish. While I might not be going back, the service at this place was excellent and they were very attentive. A little pricy but very nice! We had the Caprese sandwich and the warm goat cheese salad. The sandwich was great, with burrata and pesto. As a side I took the ceasar's salad which had too much dressing. The goat cheese salad was very good too albeit a little small. The people a table over had the Caprese salad, which was mostly a chunk of Burrata and Bout half an avocado. I'm glad I opted for the sandwich. We will be back. read more

Outdoor patio cafe in Fashion Island - right in front of Bloomingdale's. I met up with an old high school buddy of mine to catch up and since it was a nice sunny weekday I decided this place would be perfect on a mild winter day. The weather was nice however the service left something to be desired. Our server was nice but seemed forgetful and possibly too overwhelmed...maybe. The place is not huge but it was full of patrons. I got the tuna sandwich along with their steak fries and a latte (side note: server forgot about my latte and I was able to finally get it after 45 min) - all pretty good (7.5/10)- and my friend got their steak, medium rare, but it came out way more rare. He attempted for quite some time to send it back but we could not find our server. We did end up asking another server who said he would get our guy but that took another 10-15 minutes. Luckily we weren't in a rush so we just caught up, talked about our respective lives and businesses in a fairly nice atmosphere. Oh, I forgot to mention that I ordered a side of ranch dressing for my fries that never showed up either. I would give this restaurant another chance but I'm not in any rush to go back as well. Nothing on the menu pops out as a must-try item. read more

Found this little place because it was one of the places in Fashion Island that wasn't booked. Two friends and I ordered the California Caprese, Shrimp Cakes, Orange Glazed Salmon and Organic Quinoa Salad, and Beef Stroganoff. We loved them all except for the beef stroganoff, which was plain and not tasty at all. The salmon was one of the most tender and moist I have ever had, along with a delicious dressing! read more

Had another amazing lunch here at 59th and Lex Cafe! Love their wide selection of foods to choose from. Very healthy choices and generous portions. I got the Salmon Honey Walnut and Veggie special. It was amazing! Great taste, clean, fresh and perfect portion size. Also got the Tuna Sandwich on Sour Dough for a later meal. Also great sandwich that went perfect with my side Cesar Salad. There are so many great choices here I always have a hard time deciding what to get. This place has great food and service. Derrick gave me excellent service and was very knowledgeable of the menu. We like this restaurant. The server was wonderful and the food delish. My daughters and I shared a sammy and salad. My son got a burger and my husband also got a salad. We also got a side of fries and were undecided between steak or skinny fries. The server offered for us yo receive half of each. Both were very good. We've been here a few times and the good and service has consistently been great. We will be back. read more

I have to say I've been really happy eating here. The service has always been excellent, even when very busy. It's nice to sit outside. It's very comfortable and the heaters are nice when it's cold. The food has been very good. Everyone has been happy with their choices. I loved the chimichurri steak and was sad to see it go. The replacement was lovely, but I preferred the chimichurri. First of all let me say that I live directly across the street from Fashion Island, and I've eaten in every restaurant multiple times that exists. This is the MOST friendly and especially DOG friendly restaurant that exists. Not only did MOST the staff come say hello to me and my animal, their service is a cut above the rest of the fashion island restaurants. I'm a regular here, and 99.9% of the time the people who complain are just Ass hole, who will complain about anything. TRUTH. This is Newport Beach after all. Give this place a shot especially if you have a dog. read more

The only restaurant at the mall with outdoor dining space so we ended up here. We all got the chicken sandwich and sangrias. It was bottled sangria that did not taste very good and should definitely not be on the menu at a restaurant with a bar. read more

The delicious French fries are back!! Well, they have been for a while, but I'm just now writing this review. So good! Last time, I really wanted like 3 orders of fries, but I thought it would look weird so I had fries and the California caprese. I really think all capreses (capresi??) should be made with burrata. My dog made the mistake of coming with me (he really hates shopping...), but he had a fun time eating the turkey off my mom's salad, getting pets and then staring at the koi pond after. I can't think of a more perfect day than lunch at Bloomingdale's and an afternoon of shopping! read more

We reserved a table outside and the atmosphere was nice and seats were comfortable. We're not sure if it was because we were sat in the far corner or they were understaffed, but the service was very slow, and even getting our card back after we paid took at least 10 minutes. Finally, the food was fine, aside from one of the salmon entrees coming out VERY rare. The restaurant ended up comping this dish for us. If you're looking for a nice night out with great food and drinks, there are plenty of more satisfying options for m Orange County that will be far better, and also cost you less than CDM.

Later, my parents went back to buy an ice cream and a drink, but before they could even finish ordering, the same employee assumed they wanted to sit at the benches again and said, "You still can't sit at the benches when you buy an ice cream and a drink -- you have to buy a combo." My parents ended up walking away because of how rude and unwelcoming the interaction was. We were treated poorly for no reason, and it completely ruined the experience. I would not recommend being helped by her.
