I was looking at some of the reviews and just had to write this. Mutts Eastbluff is a great neighborhood family n dog friendly spot. I was introduced to Mutts Eastbluff about four years ago. It immediately became my go-to place. The food is great, the drinks are top shelf and the guess are (for the most part) like family. But the main reason I continue to go back is because of the amazing wonderful staff. They continually and constantly show up. I have watched them grow as a team, and have become friends with many of them. I have brought family and friends in and they ALL love it. Last year I had friends visiting from out of town and were went in three days straight. I will always recommend Muuts Eastbluff as 'the place to go'...!!! read more

They did not add black beans in my burrito, customer service was lacking and waiter did not give the option of refunding that order instead brings me a side of beans which was disappointing. Brings me 2 go boxes when I didn't ask for it. And I ordered two kids meal which were good. read more

Our family loves Mutts. Great vibe, great staff, amazing bartenders, friendly hosts, and delicious food. We visit at least once a month. Jaedyn always greets us with a smile when seating us and handles the stress of aggressive guests. Have you tried the Chicken Frisco sandwich? It's my guilty pleasure. Makena, Garret, Devon and Zac are the best Always make my drink to perfection and I'm super picky with my margaritas. Don't let the bad reviews sway you from this place. It's likely angry customers who've been asked to leave because their dogs won't stop barking or are aggressive with people or other sweet dogs. Would've got several more stars if not for pitifully slow service. It wasn't even remotely busy when we went, so makes no sense. Seat yourself, but full service thereafter. I ended up walking up to the bar and placing my own order after twiddling my thumbs for 15 minutes with nobody coming by after initially dropping off menus at our table. Indoor and outdoor seating (mostly covered). Super casual atmosphere. Food was good and decently sized portions. They were out of the noodles for mac, though, which was enough to make my picky toddler reject the penne replacement. This could be a cool spot. I think it's best for locals. We came for an out of area get together. Drinks are good. Food is sub par. Pizza made me sick. And the seat was wet from the rain. Pants were wet and cold. Since I'm not a local I probably won't be there again. But hey different strokes for different folks. Just surprised in this Newport area the food was so bad. read more

First time at Mutts and won't be the last! We chose this restaurant, since it was pup friendly. Our server Olivia was great, she was patient while we were looking over the menu, and asked if we wanted to order a puppy patty (medium rare beef patty) for our Kiki. We each ordered something different and it was all tasty. The garlic parm fries were well seasoned, everyone's order came out fairly quickly. The covered patio seating was nice. We love Mutts and have been coming here for a while since we live by the Back Bay. But this last visit? A little... sus. We ordered rosemary fries, paid extra for them, and were excited to dig in--only to find that they had exactly zero rosemary. Just plain ol' salted fries, dressed up in lies. When we asked the waitress about it, she confidently told us, "It's in the potato." ...Ma'am. What does that even mean? Is the potato spiritually infused with rosemary? Was it near some rosemary at some point in its life? Because it sure wasn't on the fries. Oh, and the entire place smelled like detergent. Like, aggressively so. Are y'all power-washing the walls between orders? We love the food and the location, but come on, Mutts--season the fries and maybe dial back the industrial cleaning vibes. Love this place! Have been here a few times and had a great experience each time. We love bringing our dog and sitting on the patio. They brought her a water bowl with some ice cubes in it, which was so kind and thoughtful! Cece was our waitress today and she is awesome! Thanks Cece! My husband got their Maui Blonde beer (5/5 Stars) and Eastbluff Burrito (4/5 Stars) he said both were great. We shared their Parmesan Fries (4/5 Stars) they were tasty, Im gonna ask for extra Parmesan next time. I wanted to share a negative experience I just had at Mutts in Eastbluff. I went in late about 9:15 for food and a drink. I asked for both the full and happy hour menu and was told there was only the happy hour menu and that the kitchen was closing in 15 minutes (9:30). I was surprised because the last time I was in, which was probably a year ago, they were open until midnight even during the week and served from both menus until 11 p. The only time I came in was after 9 pm because of work and travel schedules. I mentioned that it had been different before. The bartender flopped the happy hour menu in front of me pointing out that it said 9 pm to last call. I asked how someone was suppose to know when last call was going to be and he told me I was being rude and he didn't need to serve me. I kind of mumble that the hours were inconsistent and he leaned over the bar in my face telling me I was rude and he didn't need to serve me. I got up and left. The reason I stopped going late at night was because the bartenders let the men in there drink too much. One night the bartender kept serving someone who was clearly drunk. He kept dropping the F bomb and I said that it wasn't appropriate because he was in a family restaurant. He then called me a c...t. I told the bartender that if he called me that again I was calling the police. Later he asked me "what do you expect if you come in here after 9 pm?" What I expect is to not be subjected to abusive or rude behavior by male customers or the bartenders. I will be calling the manager. Oh by the way, their website says the kitchen is open until 10 pm not 9:30. read more

Really solid spot for dinner. The food hit the mark--nothing too fancy, just well-done American comfort dishes with some nice touches. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it was super crispy without being greasy. Fries were great too, which always feels like a bonus. The vibe was relaxed and friendly. Service was on point--everyone seemed like they actually enjoyed being there. I think Tal was helping out while I was there? Cozy and welcoming ambiance. The patio has such nice lighting and lots of heat lamps. They also have excellent deals & specials. I recently came here for Wine Wednesday and Happy Hour and loved it! Great deals and great food/drinks. Wine is 1/2 off on Wednesdays and the late night happy hour is 1/2 off after 9PM. Marianne was our server - super friendly and attended to our every need! Even though this restaurant advertises itself as kid-friendly, it really isn't. We've visited several times and always sit out on the patio. Each time we've gone, it hasn't been busy. Because of that, we've let the kids color and play at the table next to us, and occasionally at the small table by the lower TV -- which honestly looks like it's meant for children. However, the manager always stands in the doorway, watching the kids, and the waitress repeatedly tells us that those tables are "about to be occupied," asking us to have the kids return to their seats. I would completely understand if the restaurant were crowded, if the kids were being disruptive, or if there were any safety concerns -- but that's never been the case. It really seems like the manager just doesn't like children. If our young kids are expected to sit quietly the entire time, we might as well go to a more upscale spot like Joey's or R+D. It's a shame, too, because our bills were usually around $1,000 or more each visit. We've since started going to Islands up the road, which is actually kid-friendly. read more

First time here, recommended by my foodie friend, so we went together on a Monday night, 6:30 p.m. It was pretty busy! Our server said it was because of the basketball game. We wanted to sit in the patio, but the host said they only had indoor seats available. It was loud inside like a bar vibe, again, because of the game and the speakers being turned up for that. There were a lot of people, too, talking over the speakers, so it made it even louder, like you're raising your voice to talk to your friend and leaning in a lot to hear your friend. But, the pizza made up for it! OMG! I really liked the pizza and was not even expecting that! The server recommended a medium for two adults and one child. It was huge and hearty in a good way! The dough was thick but yummy! Everything tasted fresh. I loved how the crust was not burnt on the bottom. It was thick but super yummy. Thick like a soft bread type of dough. The veggie toppings were also not burnt and retained a nutritious value. I loved how the sausage was crumbled up and spread nicely over the cheese, overlaid on top of the nice soft dough. It was a great value. Service was great. She was very vice and refilled our water pitcher several times. There were only two servers at the time, which I'm sure was overwhelming for them. They should really hire more servers to accommodate all the patrons. Still, she did a great job! Best breakfast potatoes in town! We chose this place because we were dog-sitting and we needed a place we "knew" would be dog-friendly. Was recommended by family to try out this place. I want to say that it is very modest on the outside as it sits in the corner of a Ralph's and CVS complex, but there is more that meets the eye. Its very trendy and "loungey" as you get inside, reminding me of Lisa Vanderpumps style from Housewives! :) We walked in without reservation around 630 pm on a Friday night, and they only had tables outside, but there were lots of heaters available. We asked to switch tables so we can watch basketball, and they were accommodating. We ordered the calamari per Yelp, and I understand why it's featured as one of their top foods. I like how it was paired with banana peppers, which gave it a good accent. It was light, meaty, and nicely seasoned. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which was delicious as well. It was a good size and I definitely prefer the sweet potato waffle fries over the regular fries. Each bite of the waffle fries were crispy w just enough salt.
