Fantastic food and the best view in Paris, although a bit pricey... But I guess that's what you pay for the food AND the view!

You cone here for the atmosphere more than anything. It was a fun day out but the place is a little odd. It doesn't know if it wants to be high-end or fast food. You are seated at a table then you make your selection from a menu and then you have to go to the kitchen to place your order. While there, the kitchen staff will hand you a basket. In there they will place a brown paper bag with bread as well as prepackaged versions of whatever starters or deserts you order. You bring this basket back to your table where a waiter will take your drink order. Later the waiter will bring your main corse. It's good but an odd process. But again you're there for the view so get a window table. read more

My experience was amazing. My brother and I paid at the ticket booth right below the Eiffel Tower. They gave us two options as to the courses. €70 a person for the two course meal which includes a glass of champagne, an appetizer, water, and a main course. You can opt for different options while you're inside, which of course does cost more money. Although €70 is a little on the pricy side, I expected it to be much more, so glad it wasn't. After all, you are having dinner INSIDE the most iconic landmark of all time! When we purchased our tickets they didn't give us an option of where we wanted to sit, could have been because we got there around 9 PM, so they just gave us what they had available. Still pleased with my seats. I was one table over from the large window over looking the main streets below the Eiffel Tower. It was absolutely breathtaking. Our waiter was extremely kind, in addition to your free glass of champagne you can order wines, coffee, and various liquors for an additional fee starting at €6 depending on which you decide. Our food was displayed beautifully, and very colorful. The food wasn't the best thing I've ever eaten, but it was pretty yummy. My brother is a vegetarian, and yes they do have vegetarian options, which he said was phenomenal and not what he was expecting based on their description. We had originally wanted to make reservation while we were planning our trip then decided against it bc we did not want to be on a "schedule" in case we couldn't make it there on time. We got to the Eiffel tower around 12:30 and decided to check if their were any reservations available. They had the next seating at 1pm, perfect. We purchased the luncheon and lift tickets. The plus side was we bypassed the lines for the regular lift. Upon entering, the couple in front of us, who decided to cut everyone, had requested a window seat. They were advised their were none available and the host seated them upstairs directly in front of the stairs. We didn't expect to get window seating also but was pleasantly surprised when our hostess seated us at one! It's all about your attitude! They call it a picnic basket lunch because the dessert and appetizer is bought out in a picnic basket. The food was pretty good and we were surprised at the price. $27 euro which included appetizer, entree and dessert. If you didn't want a dessert, then it was $22. I would reccomend it just for the experience of having lunch at the Eiffel Tower. read more

The wait for the Second level Jules Verne Restaurant was simply too long on the days/nights we went. Even-though we had reservations, the restaurants are so popular that those seated, simply linger by simply paying to add-on to enjoy additional deserts, refills,, etc.. They are already seated, paying, customers, and, as paying customers, they are running up an honorable, additional, tab. This, inadvertently, causes a 'back-up' due to no fault of the fantastic staff. Suggest you go via an experienced reputable tour company when you go. You get a somewhat priority seating at the Restaurant with slightly (??) 'better' (??) service. Also, in a group-tour, you do go through a separate "Group" security clearance entrance downstairs, (street-level) to get into the Tower if you go with a group-tour company. Otherwise, the waiting-lines for whichever of the two restaurants you chose if your not with a Tour, can be draining. Even though you might be with a group and go through the separate GROUP ENTRY line, plan early for a vigorous scrutiny. We dined in the 1st level "58" Restaurant in lieu of the 2nd level Jules Verne. The "58" was romantic, scenic, breathtaking. The first day we dined, we 'did' the whole 'touristy-thing': the once-in-a-lifetime pictures and souvenirs, etc. The second visit during our same-stay, was for the night-time dinner awesomeness experience. We never got to the Jules Verne 2nd level, despite our 'best-efforts'. Next time we will book that through one of the experienced, reputable, Tour Companies. The Eiffel Tower Dining worth the life savings we blew as we DELIBERATELY saved for that specific experience. REMEMBER, you are NOT going for the food or service. You are going for the Experience. IF you bring lots of patients, and 'pre-loaded' your 'wallet' so you can just simply disregard the pricing to a, willing, captured audience, and, GO for the amazing experience, regardless how many times you decide to re-visit during your stay, it is some amazingly WOW experience. read more

Total tourist trap, we booked early but seem to have gotten the worst table in the restaurant. Immediatly next to the bar and staff were in and out all dinner, bar man was doing dishes and he made lots of noise. The restaurant photographer is happy to interrupt your dinner to take photos of other tables, litterly leaning over your food to take a picture, also the neverending flashes make it hard to not be distracted. There are several terrible reviews from April 2014 and I had to write a review because I was there for dinner on April 5, 2014 and had a great experience. I was with a group of 44. It took a very long time to get through security and take the ancient elevator up to the restaurant. Inside we were seated and served right away. The food was good. It wasn't outstanding but it wasn't bad either. The service was quick and helpful. We enjoyed our meal and the photographer who took our photographs. Everyone was very friendly. Our reservation was at 9pm but I think we probably got seated around 9:30pm. It was a bit odd right after dessert was served we were told we had 5 minutes to leave the restaurant or we would miss the elevator down because the restaurant would be closing soon. It was a huge rush to get on the elevator and we waited quite awhile. Despite the elevator fiasco and being rushed out of the restaurant, the experience was highly enjoyable, the views were magnificent, and the food was ok. If you are going to Paris, give this a shot. The best experience I had in Paris! The food was incredible!!!!!! The waiter was very nice, he went above and beyond what I expected. I tried to figure out something I could eat off the starter as I am pregnant and very picky he offered to substitute a salad for me. I got the salad and it was just amazing even for a salad! Had the seared salmon and it was again better than any other I had before! They have a different entrance for you so you don't have to wait in line for the elevator. Very convenient as the line was probably an hour long when we got there. Definitely recommend a dinner it's something you'll never forget. read more

Came here for our honeymoon. I didn't expect much before the visit, just thinking I had to be here for the view and the experience. But it turned out to be the best meal we had during in our Parisian trip. We got the premier service package, and the price included two glasses of champagne, a small bottle of white, a small bottle of red, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, dessert, and a coffee. This is an absolutely incredible experience, and I am very glad my husband and I got to experience it. I booked the "plaisir" offer, which was supposed to include preferred seating with a wonderful view. Once we were shown to our seats, we were the third table away from the window. A quick look around the first and second floor made me quickly realize that most, if not all, of the tables had the same view, regardless of the package you paid for. However, the most disappointing part of the night was the food. It was beyond mediocre, to say the least. Our package came with wine, champagne, an appetizer, main course, and dessert. All three courses were, of course, decorated very nicely, but tasted very bland and lukewarm. The first thought that comes to mind is cafeteria food. I would have expected such a nice restaurant on a historical monument would take pride in their work and have food that's not just presentable, but also delicious. Overall, I'm happy I got to experience it, but I would never return to the restaurant. Save your money and time, and just get a lift ticket for the view. read more

Great food great service! Only thing making this 4 stars instead of 5 was the hostess and the way they seat you. We arrived early and were told at 8:30pm that we had to wait till 9pm. We returned at 9pm and there was a line out the door just to get a table # from the hostess. For a restaurant so prestigious I think they could've done a better job with organizing and seating people. They could easily give you a table number at any time instead of bombarding the small entry way to the restaurant with tons of people squeezing into 1 single file line, people pushing and shoving cutting the line just to get a table #. Really disappointed in the actual process of being seated. But once seated meal and server were amazing and so nice! I would highly recommend this for dinner. My wife and I ate here for dinner at the 630pm seating. Overall the service was very good and the waiters were attentive. My wife was pregnant and they even replaced her "free" glass of champagne with a non alcoholic fruit drink without us even having to ask. Views were obviously great and that's what you're paying for (tip - book at least 3 months in advance if you want to sit against the window) The food on the other hand was less than impressive. It felt very much like banquet/cruise ship food where they had cooked a bunch of portions in advance. Foie gras was just ok and my prawns were mediocre. Main entrees were again were just ok (salmon and pork shoulder). Desserts were very good but it was a bit too late at that point. I can understand why people would want to eat here. It's on the Eiffel Tower! Of course, the experience is worth 5 stars. However, the food was very disappointing which is why I am rating this 3 stars. First of all, the price is expensive. For 24€, you can get a two course meal (including appetizer and entree or entree and dessert) or a three course meal for 30€. The menu was very limited which is understandable for an expensive high end restaurant. But, the only reason why their menu is limited is because the chefs make everything way before hand and keep it in a warmer or cooler (depending on what you get) and the waiter will bring it out once you order it. Yes, the service and wait time for food is fast but the quality is very low and bland because its been sitting out for hours! I ordered the fois grais and duck pate but it looked like the wet dog food that came straight out of a can! Second, the server brought the appetizer AND the dessert at the same time... before the entree. So I had my dessert even before my main meal. Third, the dessert I ordered was a "White Soft Cheese with Strawberries and strawberry sauce". Guess what I got... strawberry yogurt... It was literally strawberry yogurt from a Chobani yogurt container. Lasty, my entree was horrible. I ordered the duck confit with mashed potatoes. It was literally pulled pork on top of instant mix mashed potatoes. Maybe its okay for them to try and pull off yogurt as cheese but pork as duck!? Now way! There's a huge difference. Now going back to my first reason, I can tell this was made way earlier before I even ordered it is because the sauce on the main entree had already dried and stuck onto the plate. Disgusting! The views are great, the service and food are ok. I had better food in Paris than here, I think you pay more for the atmosphere than for a dining experience. Everyone is shuffled in at the same time, served quickly and leave. Tip: If you want to use your tickets to go to the top, you must go before your reservation! The lift attendants will not allow you to go to the top of the tower after dinner, which is a shame for the price that you have to pay to eat there in the first place. It might be better to just go for lunch than to spend the extra money and go in the evenings. Great presentation of the food and a decent meal. The waiters are running around so much that you lose track of which one is serving you - although you can grab any waiter and they will bring whatever you need. read more

What a wonderful experience despite reviews on other sites my wife and I enjoyed a lovely evening at Tour 58. plan ahead, and check out the lifts before your reservation time.. 9e for two for the lift ticket but on a Friday evening we had no wait as you are moved to the priority line. we enjoyed the Premier menu which included wine, red and white and we were even given an additional bottle at no charge. rumor has it that the premier menu choice will also get you the window tables,,,,as we had. I almost cry out loud! There is a very good chance your seat will not be next to a window. In which case, you will be facing the interior of the tower which is under construction. The food is acceptable at best. The photographer's photos was so bad that it made me laugh. You won't even get to take the elevator to the second floor. Food was not great. The house wine was disappointing and the dessert was too sweet. Food in the Notre Dame area was similar but tasted much better. Set prices for 3 course meals are common in Paris. They are much cheaper in other areas and taste much better compared to the 58 Eiffel Restaurant. Great place to go if you w ant to have a drink and enjoy the view. As others have said, you must keep in mind that you are paying for the experience. The food and service are adequate, but not worth the price. Make sure that you arrive according to instruction or you will forfeit your ride up the lift as well as its cost. We arrived late and the kiosk where we were to meet was closed. The restaurant told us that it would honor our voucher, but only if we could arrive before the restaurant closed. Since lift lines are long, taking a lift was not an option. We had to stand in line to purchase tickets and quickly make our assent. Being a large man who is extremely out of shape, it took me a while to recover my breath and stop sweating after entry into the restaurant. Fortunately, we had a table next to the window with a beautiful view. We were given about four or five choices per course. If you are not a die hard foodie or are picky about what you eat or how your food is cooked, your options will be limited. read more

Well...every restaurant falls apart at some point but when they give you a 3rd glass of free champagne to apologize for the main course coming one hour and a half after ordering shouldn't one just walk out? And when your mom starts crying in the elevator on the way down because the service is so appalling that it takes 30 minuets after being seated to even get see a menu and get water because we could not get a waiter to even approach the table, that's really when we should have just left. So yea, skip this terrible restaurant and go to some of the amazing ones on street level where the kitchen does not simply heat things up and serve but actually prepares meals from scratch. Great dinner experience. Delicious food and fantastic service. I didn't book a seat next to the window but was given one anyway. A couple of tips. The instructions from the restaurant say to be at the Eiffel Tower 30 minutes before your reservation but when we followed these directions, we were 15 minutes late because there is no special lift line for people going to the restaurant. So give yourself extra time if you want the full 2 hours for dinner. Also, I booked a separate ticket with the official Eiffel Tower website to go to the summit. I'm glad I did not buy a more expensive "skip the line" ticket to the summit. If you want to go to the top, buy your ticket for half an hour after dinner ends. You do have to climb the stairs from the first level (where the restaurant is located) to the second level in order to get the specific lift that goes to the summit. Obviously, this is not an option for those who have mobility issues. read more

If you want good food, a nice view, and great service then I would definitely recommend going to 58 Eiffel Tower. My boyfriend and I went, for no particular reason, and were able to book the day before for dinner. It is definitely on the pricey side but if you get the package that comes with wine they are VERY generous. The food was great, as you would expect in a place like that. Nothing too fancy. I think it really is about the experience of being there that makes it worthwhile. If have some extra cash and won't be going back to Paris for awhile, I would definitely recommend it. read more

I made reservations here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We had high expectations as this restaurant's website paints a picture of a romantic night out in which "the atmosphere of luxury will surround you." They sell this to you with pictures and video clips of low lighting and candles, dressed up couples clinking champagne, and romantic views. The reservation confirmation instructs you to dress smart and clearly states: "no jeans" and "no sneakers." We followed these directions and expected to dress given the price tag. When we showed up for our 9:00 reservation (pre-paid in advance as is required) we were surrounded by people dressed in street clothes, including backward baseball caps, jeans, shorts, t-shirts and sneakers. We were led through a brightly-lit room that reminded us of a cafeteria and brought to a table in the corner that was set with paper napkins. We were several tables away from a window. We asked to move and they complied, but it wasn't much better. The waitress was kind and the food was good, but we were so disappointed by the lack of ambience and the promised "atmosphere of luxury" that we couldn't enjoy anything. The cherry on top came about half-way through our meal when an empty table next to ours (with a window view by the way) was given to a family who walked in without reservations. They had four small children under the age of ten who were running about the place and doing the normal things young tired kids do at a restaurant. This was enough for us to voice a compliant to the manager who was completely unsympathetic to our plight. He told us that "this was a family restaurant and that his pay is based on commission." A little worried this was going to be a touristy disappointment but we actually quite enjoyed the experience! SO nice to bypass the wait. Greeted with champagne by a very nice young gentleman who did an excellent job as our server. Of course, with the number of customers needing to be wined and dined, the menu is limited but we found it quite outstanding. Items are presented beautifully, freshly prepared and delicious. We didn't feel rushed and our waiter kept our wine glasses full. This was our last night in Paris and a very wonderful selection as we said goodbye to this beautiful city. read more

We scheduled a reservation way ahead of time prior to our trip to Paris. I would recommend that you do as well. Depending on the season and your luck, the reservations may no longer be available when you get there unless your tour guide (if you have one) is able to help you. As for the restaurant itself, the experience was great. We were lucky and got a view of a lifetime. The food was good. It is not super high end dining, but that is not why you go there in the first place. I can say that we were very satisfied with our meal overall and the price considering the environment was well worth it. Service was very good.
