I brought in 2 canvas's initially for stretching, I was quoted very much in line with other businesses, but unlike the others the associate Tara provided all options, as well as what potential future changes could be made or not made to the paintings depending on what I selected. I ended up going with a simple stretch on wood--and they came out great. So great, that I came back the next week to have two licenses/diplomas framed/reframed. Great individualized work for a fair price! I have been using 567 for framing for at least 3 years for at least ten paintings. They are super helpful and reasonably priced. I will often elicit the advice of Wendee (who works there) to help me choose frames. She has a great eye. I had a minor issue with a frame one time and they fixed it- without charge. I've lived in NYC for 15 years. I've either ran into over prices framers that did a bad job and didn't care about my needs, or cheap framers where you get what you pay for. 567 is not only reasonable priced, but the service is excellent. I've gone twice now to the Chelsea location over the past month. I found these guys on yelp and took a chance. I feel like I've made the greatest discovery in the city. They've taken their time to really help me, and they are so nice and patient. When I brought my framed images home they were gorgeous and heavy! Wow! It's been a few weeks since I had three of my limited-edition prints framed by 567 Framing and I'm still in awe of what a great job they did. Before this framing job, I was looking for a quality framing shop for quite some time. Anytime I passed a frame shop, I would walk in to check out their selection and get general pricing quotes. Prompted by the great reviews on Yelp I decided to go to 567 Framing and do the same, and was pleased with their fair, competitive pricing and customer service. Fast forward a few months later and I finally find a chance to bring in my prints to be framed. I spent about an hour selecting frames for this project and was so happy with the recommendations I was given and patience I was shown (hey, it's a big decision!). I mentioned the special on Yelp and was given a 10% discount on the total. When I received my frames 2 weeks later, I couldn't have been more excited! I did a little research and my guess is they're a little more expensive others but I was more particular about the finished product and not being scammed (since I haven't done this in a long time). Yes- I went to 567 Framing because I saw the great reviews posted by nearly everyone on Yelp. And, yes, it was a great establishment. So great, I'm gonna write my own review (first one on Yelp) despite the fact that this place is not in need of any more great reviews. I went in with about 6 different things- posters, paintings, large, small, special needs. Nicole (SO cool, so nice) looked at everything, made suggestions, etc. All the help I needed. They, of course turned out very well, and I was even called a few days before to double check a few details about my order, as opposed to some places that just go ahead and do what they THINK is correct. Not this place. That's just the beginning. When I went to pick all my beautiful pieces a week later, a Mr. Jack Hu helped me. He unwrapped each individual piece carefully- like those people who save wrapping paper on Christmas morning. Once it was clear that I was satisfied, he proceeded to bind them together for easier travel while we talked about the music industry and other interesting things. Finding a taxi on a Saturday afternoon- tough. After waiting a few minutes he offered to drive me to my apartment which was not too far away for no charge at all, as he also did not charge me for all the accessories I needed to put up my beautiful works of art. He was wonderful to work with- quick, kind, and truly keen on the happiness of each customer. I will never go elsewhere for framing in New York City. Ever. Oh- and for such amazing custom framing... great GREAT prices. I mean, custom framing ain't cheap. But this is without doubt a best value. read more

I took my diploma to 567 framing to match it to my previous degree. They gave me a stylish, two-tone frame with a double mat for about $200, and the quality was impeccable. I had a particularly good experience here the other day when I was in a pinch and needed a poster framed in a matter of hours. I figured any framing store could deliver something like this, but apparently this was the only one in the 5 others I called that didn't need the minimum of one week. I called in, gave the guy the dimensions on the poster and he said he could have it ready by that evening. Little did I know that "that evening" actually meant a half hour. WOW! I got the five-star treatment. Sopping wet from the rain when I came in, he gave me a towel to dry myself off. I saw the meticulous care he took in putting the poster in the frame, white gloves and all. And the price was so reasonable. Make sure you mention Yelp when you go in! Very happy to have found this place after many years of using NYC's expensive and rude digital labs for my professional photographic projects. They are a frame shop, but they also offer HIGH QUALITY digital printing (on your choice of paper up to 60 inches in size). They mount photographs flawlessly on several surfaces, Foamcore, Sintra, Dibond etc. Most important, the cost of these services is literally half or less for what you would pay elsewhere. The turnaround time is quick, the results are exceptional, and the staff is friendly, helpful and practical. They have several convenient locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn. We visited three frame shops, without getting what we wanted or needed, and then went to visit Jack (the owner) at 567. He was the most reasonable on price, no BS, and a real problem solver. On price and integrity alone, I'll go back to him. In specific, Jack helped us frame two pieces for the price of one at other shops we talked to, and the work he did was great, and came in at the price he promised. Jack wasn't in on the Sunday afternoon we picked our framed pieces up, (bonus that they are open Sunday) he called us the next day to see how we liked them. I will definitely go back there for more framing. Easy to deal with, reasonable price, and good framing. I'm a happy customer. read more

I had a great experience at 567 Framing. All the frames look great and I will use them again. I recommend them for three reasons: 1) Price. They charged me less than half of what I paid for an identical frame from another shop; and 2) time: they did three large frames in a week, and 3) they stand behind their product: there was confusion over what style frame I had selected for one piece (expensive white v. cheaper black), and when I examined the finished frame - it was the cheaper black. As a solution, they offered to make me the more expensive white at no charge! FYI: the sign on the street is not 567 Framing, it's Spectrum Framing. weird. also, I share the concern about not calling you when the job is done - so just take the initiative and call them. read more

I have never posted a Yelp review before but I really have to say something about 567 Framing so that all these great reviews don't mislead people. I needed to get a print framed as a gift, and my local frame shop closed a few years ago. Based on these glowing Yelp reviews, I took my print to 567 Framing on 14th Street, expecting great service and expert work. I received neither. Maybe these other Yelpers visited the East Village or Brooklyn locations? I don't know, but I would avoid the store on 14th Street, or at least do some major comparison shopping first. To start, the work area was so cramped and cluttered that there was hardly any room to roll out my print and try out different frames and mats. My salesclerk was a girl who looked like a teenager and seemed to have almost no expertise at all. She showed me one frame style and gave me a blank stare when I asked if she had any other recommendations. I had to look around the store (through a pretty limited selection) and find a different style for myself. I could see there was no point in asking for any other suggestions to make my print look its best. At this point I really should have left, but I didn't have time to shop for another framer and I was still trusting all the great reviews for this place. When I went to pick up the finished print, the salesgirl gave it to me packaged in nothing but plastic cling wrap and four cardboard corner wedges. I told her I had to get it back to Queens in one piece and she just said, "Oh." I looked around and saw other prints packed in foam sheets. I asked if she could put some of that foam around my print. She said no, they were all out of foam. No bubble wrap or anything else, I guess. At least I got her to tie it with some string so I could carry it. Finally, I had to wrestle this unwrapped, fragile, nearly 8-square-foot print down the steps and out the door on my own. The salesgirl and her teenaged co-worker couldn't even prop the door open for me. When I got home, I was not surprised to see that the paint on the frame had chipped, probably while I was hauling it to Queens with no padding. I had to fix it with Wite-Out. But what about the quality of the work? Well, it was nothing special. There are visible seams on two corners of the frame. There are no rubber "bumpers" on the bottom back edges to help the print lie flat on the wall. I'm sure it's going to start bubbling or rippling within a year and will have to be remounted and reframed. This was not at all the quality I wanted for a gift. Did I at least get a good deal on the price? I don't know. They only offered two kinds of glass: standard and glare-free "museum glass." The price for the museum glass (JUST the glass, not the whole job) was over $400. The quote for the total job with standard glass came to nearly $300. When I looked dismayed by the price, she knocked off about $50. Final cost came to just over $250. Maybe that's a good deal, but if I'd had the time to shop around, I'd have gladly paid more for better service and quality. If service and quality are important to you, don't rely on Yelp reviews, no matter how positive. Try to visit a few different framing shops and talk to the staff before you make a decision.
