1/29/26 Getting lunch. Arrived! Very nice restaurant & bar. Greeted by bartender who directed me to the register to order. Nice worker greeted and ordered a chicken & shrimp taco bowl. No sour cream. Paid for it and waited at the bar. Very classy bar. It looked like they had outside seating too! Clean & safe. Calm & comfortable! Shortly later the worker handed it over with good day wishes! Great!! Lunchtime!! Order split! My chicken & shrimp burrito bowl half was cheesy & REALLY DELICIOUS! Everything! Great amount of chicken & shrimp with Great guacamole and fresh & tasty salsas to spice it up and make it even better!! Tasty Great beans and rice too!! Mother said her portion was REALLY GREAT!! Especially commented on the Great shrimp & chicken!! Great service & GREAT lunch!! They deserve every star Highly recommended!!

I walked in and was greeted with a huge smile from Matthew and Danny who was busy at the bar making and serving drinks. Customers sitting at the bar declared you have come to the correct place the food is incredible. We were quickly given waters and seated by Matthew. Menus were brought to our table, and I placed my order. Chips and guacamole: the chips were fried fresh served in a red basket and were salted, which I love. The guacamole was a very decent sharing portion. The color was bright green and in it were fresh cut cilantro, and diced tomatoes. There were chunky bits of avocado and creamed bits adding to the texture. I missed some brightness in the form of acidity, like lime but it was good. Two item special for $18: I ordered chipotle chicken enchilada and a chile relleno with rice and beans. I am a huge fan of chipotle flavors! The plate was gorgeous, smothered in sauces I immediately dipped my fingers into for tasting and checked the fry on the relleno looking to see if their technique and oil temp was good. The fry was perfect and cutting into the pasilla pepper an intense amount of cheese spilling into the sauce. I typically shy away from enchiladas out because they are often dry, with pencil wood shaving boiled to death chicken inside, you know the kind that gets bigger as you chew? I took a bite looking forward to the sauce and the crema not expecting super moist chicken inside. I bit and sat up straight. The tortillas were thicker than normal, had a very warm corn texture and taste holding up to the slightly spicy, mildly tangy sauce. It danced with the crema and the chicken being moist just sent it home! Beans: the beans were a good mix between creamy and chunks. I'd have loved them with a little more salt. Rice: The rice was noticeably darker than normal Mexican rice. The grains were individually visible and it was not typical dry mushy Mexican rice. The decor was clean, very insta worthy the tables were quickly picked up by Matthew. Matthew should not be overlooked as an employee, he is obviously hardworking, rushes to complete tasks, and is very kind, noticeably kind! The mango margarita was served with a beautiful presentation of dried citrus and chile on top, w a Chile salted rim. Great color contrasts by Danny! The pour was good! The flavors were ever present, tangy, and it was a good drink that I would order and recommend! Watching Danny he is very approachable, makes you feel warm and invited to his bar. Asks your name, makes great recommendations and knows his drinks! Will we return: I will come back for the Chipotle Enchilada and the Relleno.

I won a gift card from Instagram and was excited to go try the food here. I have been in the UK for a month so I have been craving GOOD Mexican food. WOW! As soon as you walk in the door, Danny enthusiastically greets you. He is their bartender/server. The nice lady at the counter was so patient and friendly with me because I wanted to order something I could heat up later today. She suggested the box of 10 tacos. I also got a surf and turf burrito and a bunch of other tacos. There's a great lunch special- for $11.99, I got the chili rellenos, rice and beans! So much food for not a huge price. I couldn't wait until I got home so I snuck one of the tacos that was packed with meat. It literally melted in my mouth!!! Everything looks and smells delicious! I can't wait to come back for Happy Hour with Danny. They have a tequila tasting of 3 different shots of "30-30" tequila for $20. YES!!!!

The birria ramen is really good. The birria has really good flavor. The Tijuana tacos are so good too. They are made with flour tortilla, choice of meat, and the guacamole wraps it all together. They also have a good margarita flight. The service is good, always very friendly. They did some remodeling and it's very nice inside. They also have patio seating which is my favorite.

Had a leisurely lunch here on an unassuming Wednesday afternoon. The service is unmatched, we sat at the bar and our bartender was so attentive and showed that he's clearly passionate about his craft while he made our cocktails. The food was great, generous portions for such a great price. And as if that wasn't enough, the food tastes delicious too. Overall, love this place. I'm so glad Yelp introduced me by having a toys for tacos event here, or I would never have known such a great place was only 10 minutes away from me.

Had an incredible experience at 559. Danny was our wait staff and did an excellent job taking care of us while we dined. I really enjoyed the food portions and freshness. We all ordered different and sampled across the entrees. I had the street tacos and you can see how packed they are, and the 3 taco guesa tacos were The interior dining is small and intimate with a nice bar. A very fun environment for a date or gathering with friends.

The carne asada tacos were loaded and delicious. Loved the beans, smooth and yummy. Good rice too. Service was super friendly and fast. Since the remodel, this is such a great looking restaurant, with lots of seating and beautiful ambiance. Absolutely love the outdoor patio!

If I could give it 10 stars I would, GREAT service our bartender was super nice and helpful with picking great drinks, the food was AMAZING !! It didn't take more than 10 mins to get our food. I am definitely coming back!! And I greatly recommend it!

I spent way too much money at this place but it was worth every penny! The food is great, it's just that I've noticed as months go by, they reduced the things that were on the asada fries/loaded fries, but they didn't lower the price or anything. They used to fill the plate up. But it's very expensive here. They remodeled it and it's aimed more for alchohol which brings a cozy vibe. The service is always great, even when under a lot of customer pressure. Definitely recommend.

Stopped by this place to try their food and has lots of flavor and prices are pretty good for the amount of food you get. Not much seating inside but plenty of seating outside. I did have to go outside to try their salsas which were left uncovered with one already empty. I do see this becoming a potential health issue as bugs can get in the salsa bar outside with no coverings. The nachos here do not disappoint! They're so good and have their own unique flavor that sets them apart from the rest. The food is good but I feel like this establishment is missing that factor that makes it memorable/sets apart from the rest. Service is nothing special same as everywhere. I definitely will be back to purchase their nachos again!

Food was good. The food is always good when we come for a meal. The issue I see is being understaffed. Tables were dirty and only one girl taking orders and running orders out to tables. We asked for salsa on the side just in case it was too spicy and it wasn't communicated to the kitchen staff. The gentleman helping the woman upfront was so apologetic since the woman became so upset for the mistake that was made. He made our visit worth it today.

Staff is busy and attempting to help, everyone is working. Do not come here if you expect to wait less than 30 minutes for your food. They do not take over the phone orders, so I had my wife drop me off and told her to come back and pick me up considering how hot it is in the building. I have been here for over 30 minutes I am number 87 and they are on number 82 with what looks like no chance of my number coming up anytime soon. Plus now that I look around only me and the cashier taking the orders are the only two in the whole establishment wearing a mask. Ok, so I got home and opened my order and looks pretty plain, 3 dollar red tacos nothing special, tasty but basic. The 559 Torta is good I would order again. Honestly not sure what the big deal is a taco truck is way quicker and the food is comparable. read more

Super tasty flavor profile distinguishes itself from other similar options. Points off for the NOISE, STUPID loud unnecessary TV, wide open doors letting the cool out and the HEAT in and the friendly 'greeters' in the form of insects we generally refer to as flies. Not only do they welcome you, they stay close by moving from your forehead, to your wrist, to the tip of your nose during your whole meal. Try to tell me they're not in the kitchen helping prepare the food, too? Stupid to prop the doors open all day. We are capable of opening a door or two for ourselves so let's keep the flies out, eh? Where it shines is in its pleasant service and delicious food. LOVED the red chicken tacos and my huge torta (carnitas). Flavors were off the hook and the salsa exceptional... not overly salty. Still, from the moment I entered through the line and the food was handed to me was about 40 minutes. Try to come off-hour. The street tacos at El Pollo Loco are about 3 times as large for the price here. The tacos are small but the flavor is something else. My next dream visit will begin with 4 red chicken tacos and something else. It should get to be a well oiled machine with more time under its belt... -Tip: That queso taco that plays so well to the camera is okay. Honestly, the cheese obscures the flavor of the meat and I will not be getting it again for that reason. Loved the food here! -G read more

This restaurant has all the qualities to be great, but poor management will lead to its inevitable downfall. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are very nice and inviting. The food was absolutely fantastic, however when it takes a hour to put in a food order, and get your cocktail after your food comes, great food can't overcome that. The service was very poor, and if you know you can't adequately accommodate a large party, then don't. This is definitely an ideal location for a date or a party of up to four, because anything larger will most likely result in poor service. Several of our orders were wrong, or not delivered at all, not to mention how difficult it was to get just a water. Overall, if this restaurant makes the necessary changes to improve the dining experience for larger parties, I believe it could be great, however as of now I would not recommend large parties (with or without a reservation) come here. read more

559 Taqueria is fire! Me and the wife got the taco box which consisted of 10 tacos we got alpastor and Barbacoa and we weren't let down. They are located on Clovis Ave. near down town Clovis across the street from Lows. The wife had a Michelada and she enjoyed it. Ambiance was pretty typical taco shop haha parking was good and service was friendly and fast. I'll be back for sure. read more

I've always been a fan of 559 Tacos but it was our first time at the taqueria. Went in for an early dinner today and decided to try a little bit of everything. We ordered queso Tacos, red tacos, Tijuana Street Tacos, shared loaded nachos (which were HUGE), a shrimp ceviche tostada (WHICH WAS AMAZING!), side of rice & beans, and a michelada. The restaurant is nice. The service was spectacular! You get the taqueria feel but also the service of a sit down restaurant. The food was also fast considering we ordered half the menu. The food came out within 10-15 min after ordering. With all the food that we ordered + tip, we spent about $60. It was definitely worth it! I give 559 Taqueria 5/5. Everything was delicious but I do have a couple of negatives: 1) Cheese on the nachos was not melted. Personally, I prefer my cheese warm & gooey! 2) The asada didn't have much flavor. My Tijuana Street Taco would probably have tasted better with al pastor. I highly recommend their shrimp ceviche tostada. It had the perfect spice! It tasted like an aguachile's on a tostada. So delicious & perfect to cure a hangover. I also recommend their al pastor on anything and everything. The al pastor is perfectly seasoned. I ordered a red taco & the loaded nachos with al pastor. I will definitely be returning to slam out and try more of their food! read more

Suuuuper disappointed. Expensive food Good food. The guac is bland. The limes were old and brown, my tacos were ok. The beans taste like their from a can. It seems the food is only good after you've had a few drinks. The bartender is carrying this place on his back. Because the michelada is the only thing I enjoyed, it's legit one of the best I've had. Don't bring your kids or white people or everyone will stare. Won't be returning unless I'm trynna get wasted and smash some mediocre tacos read more

Try it! I'm as picky as they come but this place doesn't disappoint! Fast, friendly and really good. The cheese taco is amazing and worth the price! Also there's really good fries. Try the creamy chipotle sauce then slap yo momma! This is a real review and I have absolutely nothing to gain by posing it. I'm just sick of unflavored food selling for too much $. Omg - the tacos here are delicious!! It's a little whole in the wall that surprises with authentic flavors! We ordered the 559 VIP Starter that has 6 different types of tacos- all were delish! I have came here 3x, I think their tacos are good but the first two times I found hair in my food... I notice hair nets aren't used or for their beards ! And I overlooked it but this last time I went in I ended up with the runs! I ate it for lunch and dinner since I had left overs, i later experienced food poisoning symptoms. read more

I believe in supporting small business and I love hole in the wall Mexican restaurants, this place did not disappoint! The patio is nice the food is outstanding, and the service and cocktails were Amazing thanks to Marzena! She made sure I got my cheese shells for my barbacoa tacos, fresh guacamole and chips with 4 different salsas to choose from. Everyone was happy with their food! Used to be amazing. Food is still good, but they've gotten my last THREE orders wrong. And I don't know what they're doing with the asada fries, but they went from 5 stars to -1. Soggy, and no jalapeno anymore. Honestly, I've given them more chances than I typically do. RIP 559 Taqueria. You used to be great, but you straight up gave up. read more

Waited awhile for this place to finally open. This was is in the place where Hacienda Tequila was at prior to their move. I have read about the taco truck and the great reviews. Came here on the grand opening and couldn't park. Ordered a red Pastor taco, a regular Pastor, a combo fajitas, Blue Moon (out of Negro Modelo), and a Coke. Wait was a long time despite a lot of workers. Tacos were somewhat cold. Fajitas had a great flavor. I would come back, hopefully once they have their groove on. Looking forward to adding stars. Here for the weekend from FL. I wanted some authentic Mexican food so my friends brought me here. The atmosphere is beautiful and the service is excellent. Then came the Wet Burrito. That was undoubtedly one of the best burritos I have ever had. The Asada was marinated perfectly and cooked to perfection. The green Chile sauce was so fresh and delicious it was drinkable. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants delicious, authentic food. Marzena was warm and welcoming. She took great care of us. read more

Hey guys, wanna share where I had dinner yesterday night. So I have saw all the pics & videos this place has posted on fb & wanted to see if it was the real deal. It wasn't what I expected, I don't know if they are famous for their alcoholic beverages but I'm gunna say it's NOT their food! Sorry, I'm a taco eater and what I had last night I would not eat again! I would probably go back to rate their drinks but NO MORE food. I've had really delicious tacos from taco trucks. You guys should go try "Garrafa", jefe will hook you up & show you how "Birria quesa tacos" are really made. You could also try "Ta Chingon" tacos, no questions asked! First time here and the parking lot was packed, didn't help that 2 Clovis PD thought they can just park anywhere and block one of the drive ways. Walking in I was a little excited to try out this new restaurant. The vibe was nice and they greeted us when we walked in. There was quite a line to order food, but the cashier did a great job clearing out the line. Once we ordered, we found a table and got really lucky someone just got done eating. The bus boy came and wiped the table for us and was really fast. While waiting for our food to be made these two ladies were fighting for a table on who was there first. That got me really hyped because when people are fighting for a table, the food must be fire ! 30 minutes went by and our food came out. Long story short food was A1! Would I come back? They're rude. That's it and that's all. Food doesn't matter especially in Fresno where there are a MILLION options for tacos. Won't be back because they have no manners. Simple. It's almost like it's a family business where no one is afraid of getting fired. read more

Really good dinner. We were a family of 4, 2 teens. Service was fast and friendly. My taco platter had solid flavor - kudos to the rice, they got it right. My wife's enchilada dish had a spicy kick, but not overpowering - really complemented the dish well. Would go back when in Fresno. read more

My kids and I were there this weekend. There food is authentic Mexican food reminded me of the quesabirria my mother would make us. The ambience is just delightful. If I could be quite frank I had the best service at the register by a young well mannered man named Angel. Also not to mention Samantha the cook always comes through with the flavors. I loved that they speak both english and Spanish. If you're in the area I suggest you give them a try. read more

Everyone there was friendly, and the overall vibe made it an enjoyable visit. One of the highlights was the bartender on site. This spot used to serve some of the best tacos in town when it was still a humble taco truck, flavorful, authentic, and clearly made with heart. Unfortunately, after transitioning to a full restaurant, the quality and authenticity have noticeably declined. What once felt like real Mexican street food now tastes like it's been rebranded for a more mainstream audience who lack culture. Started off as a taco truck and then two!!! Now they have a beautiful restaurant and serve more specialty meals than they would in the truck. Despite the wait time at first, but after the small menu change it was a lot faster. Wait times were cut to under 25 mins rather than an hour to hour and a half. They always serve great food and now they serve drinks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I talk to and which is why I took my time to write out this review. Back again at 559 Taqueria for Taco Tuesday and the Margarita Flight! On Tuesdays, the flight comes with four different margarita options -- other days it's three, so don't be alarmed if it looks a little different. The guacamole and chips are super fresh, and their red salsa adds a nice kick that pairs perfectly with the guac. If spice isn't your thing, the green salsa is mild and delicious.
