Do you ever think back to your past travels and cherish the memories of that one perfect meal you had during your vacation? Or remember a place by the food of your favorite restaurant there? Well, this is it. This will be the restaurant you remember Rome by.
I found this restaurant because I saw that they had a nearly perfect review rating on Google, and because it was located just a 3 minute walk from my hotel (and also walking distance from the pantheon!). One person reviewed it as a restaurant they see making into the Michelin guide one day, so I felt like I had to try it. AND I AM SO GLAD I did!
First and foremost, the food at 53 Untitled Restaurant was impeccable. The food was so ridiculously delicious that, immediately upon finishing our array of appetizers, 2 pastas, and a bottle of wine, we did a round 2 of ordering more appetizer, pasta, and wine DESPITE the fact that we were already full because we just could not fathom leaving this country without eating more of this food.
Also, the service was amazing. The friendly host gave great recommendations, and was very friendly, quick, professional, and kind.
Lastly, the ambiance was beautiful. It is a small restaurant with just a few tables, but the restaurant is unique, romantic, and beautiful. I can see how this place would be perfect for a date night or for a special dinner, but also I wish I lived in Rome because then I would just eat here every week.
The menu on their website is a little different from the QR code menu they gave me at the restaurant, but no complaints here because we ordered almost the entire menu (we ate for 3 hours. #noregrets) and everything was delicious, even the dessert.
TLDR; If you only have time for one meal in Italy, eat here. If you only have time for two meals, eat here twice! read more
