Came here and it was fairly empty on a Monday. Really loved the intimate environment and I thought the food was really good. Seafood Risotto - Flavor was on point and this was a solid dish. (4.5/5) Fettuccine with Meat Sauce - Pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was flavorful. (4.5/5) Moscow mule - Well made, and came the mule mug. I liked it! (4.5/5) Overall this spot surprised me. Came in with low expectations but was surprised by the great service and food was delicious. Total came out to be about 58 Euros which I felt was very reasonable for what I got. Would recommend if you're in the area.

Roasted sea bass with thin potatoes

We came here twice during our stay. Once during lunchtime where we were one of a few tables. Service was excellent by Ali. We ordered the octopus salad, prawns salad and sea bass roasted with thin potatoes. Everything was delicious, good portions a little pricy but good. The second time we came here for dinner. This time the restaurant was packed. It had a vibrant ambiance at the terrace. Initially we sat inside, we had a different server this time and the whole experience was different. First, we ordered two glasses of Chardonnay. She brought the bottle to us to pour the wine. The color of the wine didn't seem right so I asked to checked for the bottle and it didn't say Chardonnay anywhere. She blatantly lied to us so at that point we left the place. As we are walking out, Ali saw us and asked us to stay. Again there experience was different. We ordered the octopus salad and the sea bass. Everything was delicious but portions seemed smaller. They had live music so we had caipirinhas after the food. The ambiance was very lively and fun.

There is a delicate and perfectly cooked fish fillet under these potatoes.

We spent 3-4 dinners here. The food was amazing, the ambiance was great, and the staff were wonderful! I'd highly recommend this place!

While it was a touristy spot, we enjoyed our service and food. They had a saxophone playing which added to the wonderful ambiance.

Maybe the best lasagna I've had. And nicest restrooms. Spinach ravioli was great as well. Nicest facilities too.

We went for dinner before going to the opera and were served by Habib and Luca and they were both so sweet! Food was good too! The truffle pasta and seared tuna were amazing. We really enjoyed it and can highly recommend the location was nice and we sat outside under the covered patio

We had a second meal at OperArt and it did not disappoint. I had the spinach raviolis in butter sage sauce and husband had green pepper tenderloin. Plus salad and broccoli greens. Wow! So good! Our waiter Ali remembered us from the first visit and was attentive and excellent both times!

Great margaritas, and a glass of wine

Visiting Rome with the family stopped in for cocktails, best margarita had in all of Rome. Andre and Lume provided a wonderful evening with a great vibe really and personal service. Truly amazing making our visit so memorable.

This was the €63 steak with no bone and a third of most pieces inedible... This was very disappointing at €63

It really pains me to give this rating. We visited OperArt last night for late night wine and dessert and it was wonderful. Aly, our waiter was kind and service was great. The ambience with live music (jazz) made our night so much more enjoyable so we came back tonight for a second time to try dinner, expecting the same, wonderful experience. Dinner was steep and very disappointing. We ordered a Florentine steak which came out to €63 just for the steak, which would have been fine if it tasted like €63 steak. The steak was especially fatty so we had to cut out at least 25% of it so what was left on our plate after eating was 250g of large, chunks of fat and tendon which was inedible. On top of that, when our waiter was preparing the sizzling steak table side, he managed to drop the bone on the ground after cutting 85% of the meat off. If this steak was €25 fine, no big deal but at €63, I expected to eat every gram of this meat up until the bone so that was very disappointing when the bill came and I noticed the steak at full price when part of it did not make it onto my plate. We also ordered a side of grilled vegetables which seemed to be forgotten after reminding the waiter after our steak arrived. We were halfway through the meat before the vegetables came. We expected them to be hot since I assumed they forgotten so had to fire real quickly but to my dismay, they were not even warm. They tasted fine but would have been nice if they were at least warm but they came cold. I'm not sure if that's just how they serve grilled veggies here but most places grilled items are generally hot. This was so disappointing that our vegetables weren't even executed properly that night. The chocolate molten lava cake I ordered and loved last night came tonight, partially hot and partially cold and congealed in the center. I did not want to post the video because it was embarrassing how it looked. We were hoping to get a video of the hot melted chocolate goodness oozing out, only to be met with a semi hard, congealed blob of chocolate in the middle. All and all, tonight's experience was so disappointing. I do think there are redeeming factors of this restaurant and the food but tonight's meal was very difficult to swallow. We were expecting to pay $$$ because we were expecting 5 star food but we instead, left feeling duped of our money. Others may have had a different experience but unfortunately that was ours tonight. We will not be retuning for a 3rd time.

Great experience while visiting Rome. Awesome pasta with seafood, and great selection of wines. The accommodated is even when it was almost time to close.

The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.

I ordered a split of Bolero even though it's hot, I wanted it with my gnocchi with black truffles. The gnocchi and the wine were both delicious. I also had ordered a salad to start. When they brought out my salad, it was huge and I remarked about how big it was and he said oh would you like a smaller one and I said, yes please. I hadn't even touched the bowl. A few minutes later, he brought a much smaller much better sized bowl filled with crunchy radicchio, carrots, arugula, and other nice veggies. I was grateful because I couldn't even finish that one. There's no way I could've done the large one. The service was excellent. They were very kind and courteous, and went out of their way to be helpful more than once . As I was leaving it was pouring rain. My waiter didn't want me to go out into the rain without an umbrella and I said I was fine and I laughed that I wasn't made of sugar, most could attest to that. He smiled and said just a minute and he went back somewhere towards the kitchen and dug around and came back out with an umbrella. Talk about customer service so I had a lovely lovely walk back home in the rain it's been very hot here so it felt delightful. I returned the umbrella yesterday evening.
