We used to frequent the Maplewood location, but having moved to the area we wanted to try this location. Parking is a bit of a mess just due to the one ways, but the lot seems spacious. Service was friendly and efficient and the music playing was like barbershop doo-op so it was fun. Food, just like at their other location, is really good and this was my first time trying the Sante Fe and I think it's my new go-to. The dill deep fried grilled cheese bites were a special and were more like cheese curds with pickle inside. Really great burgers that live up to why they were Voted #1 in St. Paul/Minneapolis. Getting to this place can be a challenge and the parking lot needs a bit of work around it, but it was well worth the trip for these great Juicy Lucy's right near the MSP airport. The place is nostalgic and definitely has some history of being here. The food came out fresh, hot, and fresh. Our waitress was very nice, and joked around about us being from out of town which half of us were. They were very impressed with the Juicy Lucy's flavor and crispy French fries. Beer was cold and refreshing. The only drawback is the location of getting there in a direct route which is location, location, location. Definitely would recommend trying these burgers here. It's been a long time since I've been here, and now I remember why I stopped coming. It had been so long, I thought perhaps things had improved. It's honestly even worse now. I can think of nothing good to say about this meal. I arrived hungry, and left hungry because the food was so unappetizing I stopped eating after a few bites. I ordered a patty melt, which is my burger of choice. This has to be the smallest burger I've ever encountered; the burger patty wasn't much larger than a slider burger. To add insult to injury, the patty was also served well done and tasted burned. The fries that came with the burger were cold and had an off taste, making me think they were cooked in rancid or old fry oil. The waitress was unwelcoming and curt. The table we were seated at was sticky and hadn't been wiped down. They try and force you to download an app to scan and pay the bill, which I wasn't about to do. I honestly would have gotten a tastier and cheaper meal at McDonalds, which sets a pretty low bar. read more

Came on a Thursday afternoon around 5pm. Easy to find seating in the bar area. Happy hour all day on Thursday!! Jalapeño margarita was good. Exactly what you'd expect. I had the classic bleu cheese burger. Good My boyfriend had the roadhouse juicy Lucy with sweet potato fries that had marshmallow bleu sauce that came with it. Personally I thought the sauce was gross, but he loved it. Overall, it's a good spot to stop in and grab a burger and have a cheap drink. Good pricing. read more

We had a great visit to 5-8 this last week. We had a party of 7 and our food server was exceptional! She was friendly, helpful and handled the entire restaurant with ease. At least she made it look easy. Very impressive! The appetizers were great. We had the pickle chips and onion straws. $5 each during their happy hour and was enough to cover everyone at the table. Everyone had burgers, with the Classic Juicy Lucy as the popular item. Burgers and fries were perfect. Who doesn't like a stuffed burger with piping hot melted cheese? We walked in at 8:50 and were graciously welcomed, but also were informed it was almost closing. As we knew what we wanted, we were able to order immediately and at no time did we feel rushed to finish. We are new to WSP, and we felt very welcome at 5-8 tonight! Our son is Deaf and autistic, so he has some peculiar behaviors, but we weren't made to feel uncomfortable at all. It was a very warm and accepting experience.
