I am the type of person that loathes buying a car, even more so from a dealership with their strong arm tactics. But I can honestly say that my experience with 48th State was wonderful! We were never rushed or pushed into a vehicle that we didn't want. The vehicle we chose is a 93 Ford Explorer and was exactly in our price range. They did our financing in house and they got us a payment we were comfortable with, with no negotiating. We couldnt be happier with our truck and have had no mechanical issues! Only leaving one star because 0 is not an option. My 19 year old son bought his first car here a week and a half ago for $5000 and it already needs a new transmission that will cost over half of the price of the car. We tried to get Annie to make things right but she flat out refused. She continually stated that "we got a smoking deal" as if that has anything to do with it. When confronted with the Lemon Law, she said "if it still moves, it's not a problem". He has to leave for college 19 hrs away next week and is now $5000 in the hole and without a vehicle. Annie really took advantage of a 19 yr old kid buying his first car. She told him he had to sign an "as is" statement. I would NEVER send anyone here for a car. I'm a single mom and now I have a week to come up the the money and find a way to get my son and all of his stuff to Idaho. Similar thing happened to us that happened to that other reviewer. 5000.00 Jeep needed tons of work... Be a little careful guys... 1200.00 later seems okay now ... Few more little minor things still to be done.... I kinda was upset when I originally wrote this review and that wasn't totally fair of me to give them one star. So I've updated my review... They are really nice people...and they don't totally clean up the cars so you can see the true condition they are in so it's kinda my own fault since I don't know much about cars. And I guess buying a used car is always a chance you get into a situation your not totally happy about... I haven't bought a used car since I was in my early 20's (now 36). We only bought this because it was already set up as a tow behind for our new 2015 RV, we heard not all vehicles are set up to be flat towed so it's good this one was already set up for it (we originally went out to their dealership to look at a Geo Tracker and they did spend the time helping us figure out if that was able to be flat towed. We couldn't figure it out so they suggested this Jeep) We also realized later that we did over pay for this vehicle according to Kelly Blue Book value, but yet again our fault for not looking it up as we were there. They just seemed so friendly and honest I just automatically trusted them... Not that they are bad people... I realize everyone is out there to make money. guess I need to remember not everyone is like myself (being a hairdresser) and care more about my the guest being happy with my product that I produce than how much money I make off of them.. I guess I'm just upset with myself for being so trusting and expecting people care more than they do. And expecting people to be more knowledgeable about the product that they are selling. That said... Sorry that this transaction wasn't as great as I expected from the people that they seemed to be (and I'm sure are in everyday life)... I guess it's true what they say about sells people... Be cautious not to get duped in every situation as I did... I left a review awhile back on Google and what do u know it's gone. All I can say is shady people especially Annie. I purchased a car, payments were always paid and I was out of the county for a couple months due to family issues and my insurances lapsed. I called in one morning to make my current payment spoke to Annie and she gladly took my payment told her I had just entered back into the country and she said nothing else ok and took my payment I swear u not even a minute later the repo man was outside. She first said I needed insurance which ok I will go get it while at the office she called back and said since I took the car out of state to Texas and to close to the border of Mexico not to bother it was to much of a risk. Which I had told Annie's brother before I moved to Texas and he said it was ok. If I would have had money I would have took them to court for being Bias. There is no way to put NEGATIVE rating so 1 star it has to be. Purchased a car from Annie on Friday the 6th and Sunday the 8th the engine blew, tried to have her rectify the situation and boy did she go from this happy, jolly and pleasant Lady to down right rude and insulting! She had told me to "bring the car down and she would rectify the problem and get it fixed, get the car towed there for her to tell me if you leave the car here I'm charging you storage fees" then says "it's your car I had everything done first thing this morning personally" The worst service I have ever encountered in my life! The only "SMOKING DEAL" we got was the car smoking from a blown engine! As a single mother it's hard enough to make it, and getting my son his first car was a huge expense for us and this company is shadier than the night is long! She knew the car was not road worthy, she didn't disclose any mechanical issues and her words were "this is a great starter car, pointed out we should get tires and well the paint is bad that was all that is wrong besides the higher miles" SAVE YOURSELF THE POOR SERVICE, THE HEADACHE AND STRESS OF BEING SCREWED OVER SHOPE SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more
