A nice little breakfast & brunch place. The food was as expected. They also have a glass case filled with muffins, & other baked goods.

Tasty breakfast selections with crispy bacon, crispy crunchy hash browns, and the exact level of spice needed for the entrees and the chai latte! Aidan, our waitress, handled our ten top with grace and dexterity! The bustling staff wasn't too busy to greet us with smiles and welcome us. Loved the sturdy but lightweight metal chairs!

Great coffee amazing breakfast. Drove 45 minutes to try it out was not disappointed. Wait staff was so nice and attentive. Asked for their recommendation, they recommended the skillet and was blown away. Best breakfast I've ever had hands down.

Decent sandwiches and breakfast. Not much by way of plating, even by diner standards. Perks: fresh baked goods and local ingredients like morel mushrooms (try the morel melt sandwich). Iced coffees were very very good, and costly, but worth it. They use locally made syrups to flavor them. Location is good, parking is plentiful at the end of the street.

They have a good sized uncovered outdoor patio, and more limited seating inside. The interior seating has a homey feel, the decor is simple Northern, Lake Michigan. The menu is short, but a good variety of options, I'm not sure how often it changes, as the entrees during our visit were a bit more substantial, suited for cooler weather. We had Ceasar salads, Mac and cheese, burrata, and Chicken Marsala. I also had their soup of the day, a beef chili, my favorite item we had. We thoughts the Ceasar was a standard good. The Mac and Cheese was a bit boring and dry. The Burrata was great, nice fresh tomato's. We also enjoyed the chicken. I had a flight of three of their wines, nicely presented. I thought both of the whites, first fruits, and the Gruner Veltliner, were very good. Gilchrist is relatively newer to the area wineries and a nice addition.

Our server Noel was amazing and made the best recommendations. We loved the Albariño and Northerner (a cab-Syrah blend) - both rare finds in Northern MI. We had to make a reservation for a Friday night on Memorial Day weekend. Service was excellent. The bar seating never filled up so that's your best chance if you didn't make a reservation! The devilled egg's egg white was cold and the rest of the filling was weird room temperature 3. The mixed green salad was supposed to have marinated mushrooms in them, first there were none in mine. My partner's mixed green salad had one mushroom, thinly sliced, not marinated definitely. It was just a bunch of arugula with pine sprinkled on top of it. 4. The vegetable portage soup was actually good. 5. The bread was fine too 6. The tomato salad thin was basically a big slice of tomato with some other stuff on top of it. Only the pickled strawberries were good. But if you want tomato juice get that salad 7. The brannzino was a whole fish. Okay that sounds interesting and looked good. But wait, they didn't give separate plates for deboning it. Cherry on top-also took away the cutlery after the last course. So no cutlery, no plate, and no deboning skills in their regular amateur customer. That's was fun. 8. Lamb chops were under seasoned and unevenly cooked and fatty. 9. Of course didn't even bother asking for dessert. 10. They gave us some small cookies for dessert on the house. That was ok. 11. The bill was $400+ which definitely did not feel like it and safe to say never going there again.

We had wanted to sit on the rooftop to enjoy the views but it wasn't opening until 4PM so we didn't get to experience that. The clam chowder was on special so I ordered that to start with some peel and eat shrimp, cold- you can get them hot or cold and they were perfectly done and the cocktail sauce wasn't so strong that it overpowered the shrimp which was appreciated. My husband and I shared the trout basket and they were very lightly breaded, not greasy at all and well seasoned. My son ordered a cheeseburger and raved about it so much that he told our waitress on the way out that it was 5-star worthy. Note: he orders burgers everywhere we go so I trust his judgement . It was cooked how he asked- medium rare- and was thick and juicy to top it off. If you're looking for a spot with friendly service and delicious food- it's a must try in Sutton's Bay.

With that being said... the service was the downfall. When we walked in, the only other table that was seated was leaving so we were the only group. They were not busy. We had 12 and they cleared an area and seated us. We placed our drink order and then I asked about splitting the bill and I am not exaggerating one bit. She looked at me and rudely said "It literally says in the menu that we do not split bills and that there will be a 20% gratuity". So, since she is already guaranteed the 20% there is no sense in her being a good waitress from that point on. Again, we were the only table. There were times that we had to go to the bar to refill drinks. Another table did come in while we were there and that waitress was super friendly. Wish we had gotten her as our server. So, we each went to the ATM machine and withdrew $ to split the bill on our own. The very next day, we went to Rare Bird Brewery and when we walked in the staff told us right away about their policy to not split bills. Which we praised them for - excellent service. And in the end because they were not busy, they split our bills anyway. So, my suggestion is that Streetside Grill announce their policy when a table that large asks for seating. It costs nothing to be up front.
