I believe this place recently opened, but they seem to be having a smooth transition! We went around 11:30 or so, and there were plenty of open tables. I'm guessing most of their business occurs around breakfast as that's what the majority of the menu items are. Speaking of the menu, it is a little limited -- being only one page, but we were able to all find something we liked. Our waitress was very kind and answered all our questions. She kept us updated on when the food would be coming out, and she was happy to provide us with extra jams and such. I got the banana french toast, and it was amazing. It also really filled me up! I didn't have to add syrup or anything to it either. Very cute vibe here. I hope they keep expanding their menu!

This was the order of pancakes that we ordered. They were very good and slightly crispy on the outside, but not dry or burnt!

Absolutely amazing service! So glad they are here in elk rapids because this is the kind of business we love! They have a smaller inside seating with roughly 9 tables and 5 or so at a bar. The food came out quite fast which was around 20 minutes. We will definitely be back!!!

Take out blt was top notch. Thick bacon cooked JUST RIGHT

Delicious and welcome addition to elk rapids! Absolutely lovely staff, cozy environment, not too loud and the food is jazzed up classics that improve the overall dish not making it into something my meat and potatoes dad is scared to eat (this happens). The potatoes are the bomb, definitely in the top ten best breakfast side potatoes I've had. I've sat at a table, the counter and take out and they've been excellent each time with superior customer service. I expect they'll be slammed in the summer, so plan accordingly and don't be a jerk. I've seen this happen year after year at restaurants downtown TC, if you have a large group I'd call ahead and give them a heads up. Idk how they'll handle the summer but I'm already dreading it for them. Tailgate games, a tent with a coffee bar would go a long way to manage cranky tourists who don't know how to be respectful and expects everyone to operate on their timeline. *If you can't tell I've had Saturday brunch induced trauma after living next to Patisserie Amie and Towne Plaza and seeing people scream at servers and hosts like it's their fault the place seats like 50 people and you roll up with 8 adults and 4 kids and don't expect to wait. It's insane. Anyways rant over. This place is a delicious and woman owned! #girlBoss lol :)

We love this restaurant -- the food and wait staff are always excellent. Sometimes you have to wait for a table but it is worth the wait.

They don't have an espresso machine but they brew a really good espresso blend. For breakfast, we ordered the carrot cake pancakes, the toast, and a side of turkey sausage. Everything is farm to table and made fresh. The food is incredible. I ordered the carrot cake pancakes. The attention to detail with the candied ginger and homemade rosemary simple syrup was noted. My belly was so happy. The side of Turkey sausage was so good. It's not your basic sausage. They are homemade with roasted onions, leeks, and herbs. This changes every season, which is so exciting. My husband's toast was made with brisket. I tried a bite. The combination of fresh veggies, homemade bread, and brisket was so good. Vanessa was our server. She was so great! So friendly and helpful. This is one of my all time favorite breakfast places. Can't wait to come back.

From the moment we walked in, we experienced what felt like clear racial discrimination. While white customers were greeted kindly, escorted to their tables, and menus waited them on tables with care, the owner herself treated us very differently. She handed us menus while we were still standing and simply told us to "go sit over there," without guiding us to a table. It was incredibly disrespectful. Once seated and ordered, the waitress was nice but we waited nearly 50 minutes for our food, just two people with a simple order. Even for busy sunday , it was unlikely specially that a larger group who arrived around the same time were served much sooner. After the 50 minute, when we politely mentioned the delay and requested to leave and pay for drinks, we were spoken to in a disrespectful tone under what seemed like a fake smiles and we were told, "This is not a fast food place," as if we were unreasonable or lacking understanding, a response that felt insulting and belittling. We weren't demanding fast food service; we were simply asking for clear communication and fair treatment. We were not informed about the wait time would be this long, and nothing on the menu indicated it either. A small biscuit was brought to our table during the wait, but we still weren't told how much longer it would be. If the breakfast food typically takes this long, guests should be given a heads-up so they can decide if they have time to wait. Overall, the lack of proper hospitality, the tone used to speak to us, and the differential treatment we received make it hard not to believe this was racially motivated.Being treated this way by the owner herself made it even more horrible experience! We expected to be treated like valued customers, not like a trash in the corner. Discrimination has no place in the service industry. We hope S2S seriously reflects on how they treat all guests not just those who look a certain way. Also, they should consider mentioning the expected wait time for orders if they are likely to take a long time.

The way in which he coaxed our individual tastes made the experience feel as if we were the only ones there. Good job! Food: well the shrimp appetizer salad and French onion soup were so tasty they didn't get shared. I think that says it all but wait, then there was the salmon with beluga lentils. The olive tapenade was the right balance of salty and savory for the Scottish salmon. Ambiance: the snow mound is gone and the lake can be seen again. What a pleasure to enjoy each other's company while watching the gulls winging over the waves.

Cafe Santé is one place we visited on repeat during our recent stay in Boyne City…read more Our first night there was fantastic. Our server, Mark, was really attentive and friendly. The menu had a great amount of variety and the wine list offered some really unique tastes from around the world. I enjoyed the tuna steak for dinner and would recommend it. Kiddo loved the bread and butter that came with the meal. Our second experience still had great food, with the pork chop being my choice and one I would order again. We had a different server that night and he was MIA for more than half the meal. When he came back he asked if we wanted to-go cups for our beverages as he brought the check at the same time. Otherwise it was stellar all around. Would definitely recommend grabbing dinner here while you're in the area!
