Today was my first visit to 43 East. First, the space is awesome. The floors are gorgeous swirls of blue when you walk in. There is plenty of room, so that you don't feel right on top of everyone else getting their hair done. Everyone was friendly and I was immediately greeted and offered a drink. The reason I visited today is to see Melissa, who has been doing my hair for years. She always does a great job!. I can be indecisive, and often leave the decisions about my hair in her hands. I am always happy with the results. She has done amazing color that looks completely natural, fabulously fun short cuts, and fantastic swingy bobs for me. She's super friendly and helpful. I started going to Shannon and couple of years ago and have never been happier with my hair. For the first time, my hair color is spot on! She truly listens, is honest in her opinion and is talented in both cut and color. I fly over from Budapest to have Melissa color my hair! She's been doing my highlights for about 12 years now, the last 9 of which I've lived in Europe. So every time I'm back in town for a visit, I book an appointment an appointment in advance with Melissa. She's an amazingly talented colorist and stylist and always manages to create the look I'd like (which has varied over time), including bayalage and ombre.
