So, based on a recommendation of a friend, I outreached to the salon and got an appointment with their nail tech, Justina. I didn't have to wait too long for an appointment; there was one available the next day. When I arrived, I was immediately greeted and offered a coffee or a tea while I waited for my appointment time. My appointment started on time. Justina was very attentive and knowledgeable. She did a fabulous job and my nails not only look great, but they feel stronger and no longer hurt. Price was on par for what I was quoted at other salons. I can't speak to any of their hair services, but based on my experience with Justina and how I well I was treated by staff when I walked in, I would definitely consider trying them in the future. But, I will definitely be back to get my nails done!

Now she cuts my daughters hair and my daughter LOVES her! JLS is now in a new location but not too far from their last location! They have done a great job with renovations. The Hairport is in a standard strip mall location that is easy to locate next to Dave's Market with plenty of parking. I became excited at the find as I have long been seeking a hair salon within a 5-minute drive from my home. Criteria: Quality and skill I can trust. This may be my answer. After two attempts at getting in as a first time client, without an appointment, I was finally accommodated by Sarah, the business owner. Sarah is friendly enough but still professional. Listens well and open to suggestions. While she politely asked me for a preference, I made sure to tell her other than broad stroke ideas, that I would let her do what she thinks is best for my personality, lifestyle, and facial shape. If that meant chopping off 2 inches, I am fine with it. Thankfully, she was thinking the same as I was and that is to keep the length and add more fringe layers for now. Keeping it safe for a first time visit. Great! Nervous about layers as really not all stylists can do it WELL. Voila! I was happy with mine. Good symmetry. She also did not feel the need to criticize my grown out, unequal cut just to strengthen her case to be my new go-to hairstylist. I liked that. Sarah also does nails and waxing but her main preoccupation is hair. On the surroundings: I enjoy the free K cup coffee all the time, and the sweet little candies and chocolates on the payment counter. This place is clean. There are two other stylists, too. I also noticed a good number of regular customers on appointments. A good sign. If you are ready for a change and live along Warwick Rd, West Shore Rd and Airport Rd area, give Sarah and her colleagues at The Hairport Salon a try.
