I tried to re-tighten the my garage door chain but ended up failing miserable as it was easier said then done. I missed a couple of steps and messed up the entire garage chain. I called to schedule a repair and along came Brody. He explained that that the life on the motor was coming to an end soon as the bearing was making clicking noises. Even tho the garage door was pretty much roasted he placed the chain back for me as I didn't want it hanging loose. The customer service was top notch that I scheduled for a new replacement. If you need garage door service, I recommend 4 Sons Garage Door. What a great experience I had with them. I arranged service for a broken spring through my home warranty company. Arranging service through them always gives me concern because so often they contract with fly-by-night vendors. I was very pleasantly surprised when the technician arrived in a truck displaying a decal reading they were a "Rosie On The House" Trusted Partner. I have used a number of Rosie Partners and always had great experiences, so when I saw the Rosie decal, I immediately gained confidence in this company. Patrick was the technician and he exited the truck and professionally introduced himself. Professional introductions happen rarely these days, so it was refreshing to see. I explained to Patrick what I needed repaired, but also explained how the garage door had a crack in the metal panel and asked if that is something that he could also repair. The garage door was the original door and was over 26 years old, and he pointed out several wear points that all could not be fixed. The door would need to be replaced. He also noticed how the garage door opener was installed very haphazardly. I told him the house came with it installed that way, and it was a DIY project by the previous owner. I asked how much a new opener would be because I wanted to upgrade from the existing old noisy chain-driven opener. Patrick was very professional in offering me options and pricing. We quickly settled on what I wanted. And he quickly scheduled the install for the coming weekend. Installation was quick and clean. The best part was that Patrick allowed my special needs teenage son to sit and watch the whole installation process. Patrick was gracious with describing what he was doing and answered many questions along the way. Before we knew it, I was watching along too. Fun for all ages, we joked. When it came to programming the remotes and keypad, Patrick allowed my son to participate in this. This was the highlight of the process, and my son was thrilled to be made a part of it. We ended the installation process with a selfie of my son and Patrick together. The windy weather wasn't conducive to painting the new door, so Patrick returned three days later (at my choice because I was working from home that day) to paint the door. He was quick and clean again. I have worked for a global hospitality company for 35 years, and I have worked in a luxury resort here in Phoenix for 23 years. We live and breathe customer service, personalization, and professionalism every second of our day. Customer service is a dying trait in our society, and personalization and professionalism are nearly non-existent nowadays. Most people would offhandedly refer to an employee like Patrick to be simply a "garage door repair guy." He is far beyond that. He is an asset. He deserves all this praise. The team at 4 sons was willing to walk through the quote I had over the phone right then and there and also briefly troubleshoot my issue and together we determined that even IF I did need a full door replacement the quote I had was extremely overpriced, but suspected that I didn't need a new door at ALL. Great service and quality work. We recently moved into our new building. The existing overhead door was too small. I called 4 sons and got a quote the following day. The price was very reasonable so I decided to move forward with the install. After aprovi g and ordering the bigger over head door, we found out that we had measured wrong. I called 4 Sons and asked if I could make a change even though the door was already ordered from the manufacturer, they made a phone call and made the change. After the install, we had an issue with the door not staying all the way up. I called 4 Sons and they had someone out the same say to adjust the springs. Not impressed with the tech they sent out. They were dispatched through ORHP home warranty for a broken door spring. He came and looked at it and gave me my options including some upgrades. I declined the upgrades and asked for only the covered spring replacement. I get a call 15 minutes later stating the door cable is broken and that's not covered and will be an additional $75. Now it's not the cost of the cable. It's the fact that he never bothered to properly diagnose before giving me repair options that is bugging me. I'm a tradesman myself. I've been a master plumber for 23 years. If I misdiagnose something or miss something during the initial diagnosis and give the customer a price, I never and I mean ever tell the customer "oh I didn't notice this was broke too, it's going to cost more". I eat the cost of whatever I missed to make sure my customer is happy and uses me again. There is no quicker way to piss off and lose a customer forever than to change the price mid job because you didn't do your due diligence and properly diagnose the failure before shooting prices at someone. . Our garage door stopped working and I had first requested another company through ORHP but they were busy. They set us up with 4 Sons Overhead Garage Door Service. I'm very glad they did. Our door stopped working on Monday evening. I called on Tuesday and they came out on Weds. We needed a new opener, and he did offer me a quieter, more expensive one, I declined and he moved on, with no pressure. We did also get new rollers as suggested. The main thing that impressed me is that the technician removed two old buttons from the wall, put a new one in, and repaired the dry wall perfectly, for no extra charge. The last company (that we were very happy with too) put a new one in and just left the old useless one there, I never even thought about it this time. I appreciate the great work, and the door is quieter than it has been in years. He was so quiet while installing the opener, rollers, and button, wasn't sure he was still working. Did great once I got a hold of them. My home warranty ORHP put in the order a week prior to me calling and seeing what was going on. They said, they did not receive the order but put me on the schedule 3 days out. Showed up on time and completed the work. Everything is in working order. My only complaint is lack of communication but they did great and got my door fixed no problem. I had to call twice to get a copy of the receipt to close escrow. Soooooo angry. I'm 9 months pregnant and have had to leave work multiple times to get home in time to have my garage door fixed which would have been fine if they didn't keep making mistakes. They made an error and ordered the wrong part and made a 3rd apt 4-6. I got home exactly 2 mins after 4, and they said they were there at 4 which must have been a lie because no one was in my driveway. I was told he couldn't wait 120 seconds for someone to open the door because he had other clients. I'm not sure how a company is able to run with such poor service. I would NEVER recommend this place. Then they cancelled the apt they rescheduled ‍. I wouldn't have been so upset if they really cared, but the guy on the phone literally couldn't care less. These guys did a great job. Professional and kind from start to finish. After my initial installation the wall button failed. With out a hassle, they offered to replace the unit and did so quickly. I really appreciated the installers non pressure recommendations. I never felt that I was being up sold but rather educated. I ended up with a new belt unit from lift master and took the advice to replace the metal wheels for a new rubber type. My garage now opens silently. It's amazing! I am very impressed with the service I received from 4 Sons so I had to write a review!! Tom and his son came out and replaced the springs on my garage door today. They arrived as scheduled and stayed until I was happy with the job they did. After the springs were installed, the bottom of the door was not sealing properly. Tom took the time to get the door to seal and did so even though he had make several attempts to get it right. And he did it without getting frustrated (I was doing that!) and with a smile on his face. Their prices are extremely fair and their work is excellent. My Home warranty company, Old Republic, sent 4 Sons out to service my smoking garage door opener. Terry showed up on time. Was courteous, and left the work area clean. He took the time to show me what had gone wrong, and to explain my options.... Under 'Things That Make You go Hmmmm..... ' Terry explained that this opener was on it's last leg. ( I asked if it would make it through Christmas, and he said - maybe) He told me that he could call the warranty company and let them know that the opener needed to be replaced, but that the warranty company would only cover the most basic of models... that what he could replace it with would not have the security keypad or the button by the door. IF I wanted to replace with a similar system, I could pay $150 (plus the $65 service fee) , and he would come back and replace it with a unit similar to my current opener. I took the step of calling OR, and asking why they would not replace my unit with one similar to what I have. They stated that they would replace it with the same unit, and asked to speak with Terry to confirm that with him... Terry proceeded to tell them that it was now working, and did not need to be replaced..... Just a very quick and unexpected change in tune... read more

One of my garage door springs broke in half as I was going to pull out of the garage and make a trip to the grocery store.I called at 0730 on Friday May 20, 2016 the craftsman showed up at 0900 and he was finished by 1000 AM. The door operates smooth and quieter than before. The young lad who did the spring replacement is the son-in-law of the owner. What a great and competent guy he is. We had 4 Sons replace our rollers with vinyl rollers a couple of years ago. They are holding up just fine. If you want quality work at a very reasonable price, suggest you call 4 Sons and a Son-In-Law (lol). read more

I scheduled an appointment with these people on Monday they did not have an opening until Wednesday they told me my window would be 12 to 2 they called me after I'd already missed work to tell me that his truck broke down can they come tomorrow? I was disappointed but said sure and they told me today my window would be from 12 to 2 I have now missed five hours of work they are a no call no show and at 12 o'clock this afternoon I even called their company to advise them that I was home waiting. Now their phones go to voicemail. They have both my home phone and myself phone there is no excuse for this behavior and lack of professional common courtesy . So I still have a broken garage door and I'll have an even more upset boss. I will have to miss more work for the next company. I wouldn't use them. I had to write a review because I was so impressed with the service and I thought it was worthy of a review. My garage door stopped working on a Sunday morning and when I opened a ticket with my home warranty company, 4 Sons was assigned to fix the problem. I wanted to see if they had a website so that I would know when their hours were. I couldn't find one but I did find some information on them from Angie's List. It actually said they had Sunday hours from 9am-3pm and it was 915am so I called. A pleasant man answered (yes, I was surprised) and asked me what the problem was. I gave him all of the information and he said he could be out in a little while (what are the chances). He was here within 30 minutes. Immediately he found that it was the spring. He called the home warranty to make sure it was covered and then started the work when they sad yes. He was done quickly and on his way. I was just super impressed that I was able to get same day service and with a smile. If everyone has this same experience, 4 Sons will have a very successful business. Thanks!! read more
