We highly recommend Same Day Garage Services for any of your garage door needs. We ordered a garage door in a custom color to be done by the manufacturer. Our door, obviously, doesn't fall under "same day" services, so I can't comment on the emergency side of the business. But I can say that Peter Brown, the owner of this family business, provided wonderful customer service. He really knows garage doors, and patiently explained all the differences between the various options as well as hardware issues like struts, spring cycles, and reinforcement brackets. We felt really confidant that we were getting a high quality door for a very reasonable price, and were not disappointed. We LOVE our new garage door! It's quiet, smooth running, and so beautiful. It really makes our house look so much nicer than the one that came with the house. Until we got a new door, I never really thought about how transformative they could be. It kind of makes me glad we busted the old one. I also want to tell 2 stories about Peter. First, Peter even took the time to help me choose my custom color. This was not a quick reinforce-what-the-customer-wants-and-let's-get-out-of-here episode. He transformed into Chip and Joanna Gaines from FIXER UPPER right before my eyes as he went through my picks and my discards of paint swatches to get just the right color that would work with the trim and multi-colored stones of our exterior and yet be light enough to keep the heat down. I ended up going with a color I hadn't even considered, and was happy I did. The other story is that he installed the garage door all by himself. The day of the installation his worker was sick, and yet he still came. I actually was horrified and was very reluctant to believe that he could handle the large, heavy sections alone without dropping, banging, denting, or scratching some part of the door. I eventually let him do it, but I wouldn't watch. Guess what? He put it up perfectly, quickly, and without incident! I've stopped counting how many times other home improvement projects have had a major hiccup by carelessness or poor work, so Peter's expertise puts him up there in my not-very-crowded pantheon of recommended businesses. I determined I needed at least a checkup, and probably a replacement on my 19+ year old garage door opener. Scrolling through the internet listings I came across "Same Day Garage Doors" and in that I needed some quick service I gave them a call. In no time I was talking to a human. She scheduled a technician to come to my house in just a couple of hours. Jeff showed up right at the beginning of the two-hour time block for the appointment. After an inspection he decided, as I did, that I needed a replacement. He gave me some different units to choose from and after I made my choice, he pulled the unit from his truck and started to work. Keep in mind that the outside temperature around this was somewhere in the area of 115 degrees. He had mentioned that he had experienced some heat stroke problems in the past but continued to work, with periodic breaks to cool off in his truck with the AC on. He kept apologizing for the job taking longer than he expected but I told him not to worry and to try and cool off as much as possible. Even doing he was having more symptoms of heat stroke. He finally said, and I agreed, that it wouldn't be safe for him to continue and called in to the shop to see about getting another tech to come out and finish the job. Derrick showed up in about 15 minutes and after some consulting with Jeff took over the rest of the installation. Jeff left with my blessing to go cool off and start feeling better. Derrick took about a half hour to finish the installation, program the remote and the remote in my car, go over the installation with me, put his tools away, and leave. I have had a number of different technicians from all kinds of businesses do work at my house, but I have never seen the level of professionalism and dedication as I did from these two guys at Same Day Garage Doors. Jeff worked to the point of making himself sick but finally had to ask for some help, and that help showed up very quickly. I appreciate this company and the technician for conducting themselves in a professional manner. They responded very quickly and even corrected scheduling conflict swiftly. I was in the middle of conversations with multiple garage door companies I'm which I scheduled a service call with Same Day for the following day. On the day of the appointment, I was contacted by Same Day to inform me they would have to reschedule to the next business day as they were booked. I let the customer representative know I had other repair companies ready to go and one of them was a little cheaper and I would progress with the other company if they wouldn't be able to make it. The representative said they would call me back to let me know if they were able to send a technician instead of waiting for the following day to send a technician. They called me back and informed me a technician would be able to make it at a later time than the original appointment time in which I agreed. The technician from Same Day who's name is Mr. Mike was great. He performed the work quickly and was professional. Same Day worked with me on some questions and reconciliations I had with ease. We had a sprocket and spring break on our old setup and nervously called around. We hadnt had good expiences with other companies and I wanted to find a more professional organization. The office did a great job communicating through several channels (email, phone, text) which fits a modern business model. The repair was more expensive than I hoped it would be only because the hardware I have was end of life. After a thorough inspection and a little education from Jeff on how the system works I was presented with several options which I appreciated. After only two hours, we had a new opener rollers and springs and a much quiter and smoother system installed which is almost impossible to hear now and we love it. These new openers for liftmaster are also wifi and app enabled so I never have to worry about the door being left open. Also nice is the camera and the option to allow amazon and other delivery companies to leave packages behind the door. Same day service, and that's exactly what I got. I called in and they took all my information and told me Peter would call me back, sure enough 5 or 10 minutes later he called. After going over my issue he gave me a best case and worst-case scenario as far as the cost goes. We agreed upon an option and a price and set an appointment time, "the same day" just 2 hours later in fact. The tech's Trevor and Josh arrived on time, and with all the stuff I agreed to have installed, including one additional product I forgot to ask about till they started the work. Both the tech's were very professional and kept my garage clean picking up as they were working. In no time at all they had my new opener installed with all the options I requested, plus the one I forgot to ask about on the phone. After using a different garage door company with less than satisfying results, I decided to use same day based on their yelp reviews. I did a google search today for a garage door repair company, and am VERY happy I called Same Day Garage Door Services. I had a door that was jamming near the bottom, causing it to reopen, and which ultimately resulted in a "hung door", where a cable jumps out of its spool. Within 60 minutes of making the called, the following happened: --Trevor arrived - personable, professional, and as it turns out, very competent --in about 2 minutes, he had the cable back in the spool and the door hanging evenly --he made a track adjustment that eliminated the jam --after an inspection, he prounounced all to be well, except for my old worn out metal rollers, with new plastic ones, waiving my emergency call-out fee when I agreed to the replacement --lubed the rollers, springs, and chains --programmed my opener to the button in my truck. Garage Door out of balance. Requested service. Not opening/closing smoothly, then got stuck open. Support cables repeatedly coming off spindle and getting tangled. Bracket and rail severely bent when this happened last time. Called Same Day Garage Door and they sent a tech out (Angel R.) same day. He was very experienced, super knowledgeable, efficient, cordial, friendly and professional. He fixed the cable problem, replaced the damaged parts, checked the alignment of the door, lubricated all the parts that are suppose to be lubricated and check the function of the door as well as the opener including safety considerations and adjustments. We are one of those weird families who keeps the cars in the garage instead of transforming it into extra storage space. Imagine our surprise when, at 6:30 in the morning, the door wasn't opening. I want to give a shout out to Same Day Garage Door Service. They came out to my Aunt's home today and repaired her garage door. Doesn't sound like that big of a deal, right? My 86 year old Aunt called someone else out and yesterday and they told her she needed a new garage door for a cost of $850. Same Day came out today and repaired two hinges, tighten the springs, lube all rollers and the chain for $105. The door is fixed and runs smoothly again.
