Tech also programmed my garage door opener that wasnt working & was nice to work with. If I wanted to chat he was up for it, but you could tell if I just wanted him to install and leave he was good w that. Always nice when people are socially aware. Nothing was repaired but we had to pay $59. The technician had to keep calling someone else for help so it was apparent he didn't know what he was doing. Basically told we needed a new garage door opener and the estimates were exorbitant. I called around and found the same openers installed for more than $1000 less. Do your due diligence and don't settle. read more

Kyle Pethe came out for an estimate and he too was so kind, helpful and knowledgeable. My husband and I had a lot of questions about adding a new motor to an existing 3rd car garage and also about the working 2 car garage. Kyle took the time to answer all our questions and help us with our choice. Today Kyle Pethe returned to install the new motor. He went above and beyond, did an awesome job and we couldn't be happier! Thank you all for your professionalism and great service! read more

Had my garage door pole and spring wore out and broke. As a result, my door and hinges were badly damaged. Rather than repair it, I chose to get a new door entirely. The price was fair, the door itself is an upgrade over my prior one, I could not be more pleased with the work they did. I will call them whenever I need garage work again. read more

I called Kyle and he came out to look at the issue we had with the garage. He lubed up the screw drive and some other points and it started working again. We told him the unit was rather old from the 90's and didn't want to messing with it breaking down anymore. So he went over some items that he offered. A few days later he came out took the old one out and put up a new belt drive and showed us how it works and he was very professional. Came to greet us with his mask on and told him he is good to go. Everyone at Garage Door Grunts we're pleasant and helpful through the whole process! Lucas came out to give the quote on replacing my garage. What sold me on them is he didn't BS and was very honest about his answers to the questions I had. I had 3 other quotes and not only where the prices reasonable, but Lucas didn't try upselling me things that the others had tried. I appreciated the full transparency. Tina was great to talk to with communicating the appointments, and Coby was extremely professional during the install. I'm definitely recommending them to anyone and would use them again! read more

I had high hopes to use these guys as a fellow Veteran. Their tech showed up in basketball shorts. Seemed like he didn't want to be there from the start. I felt like he was looking for excuses as to why not to do any work. I paid $65 for him to be here for 10 minutes tops. I understand the need to charge service fees. It just seemed like a complete waste of money. I had to pull information from him. He seemed to be in such a rush. Very unprofessional. I had previously dealt with a great tech at my work site. Unfortunately he doesn't work their anymore. read more

Had an old garage door that needed to be replaced. Door was circa 1981. Took 3 bids and Garage Door Grunts came in way lower. When Lucas came over, he listened to my concerns, gave honest opinions about the differences between insulated/non insulated doors. He agreed a basic door would suit my needs. He showed me some other elevations, and was very transparent about price. The shocking part is, he was able to secure a door for install within a week! The other bids were saying, we're 4-6 weeks out, this doors gonna run you 3000$ blah blah blah. Lucas also went the extra mile, met me at work to secure a deposit for the door. A week later, door is up and running. They needed to leave and get some trim, wouldn't take final payment till the job was done. We did a walk around of the door and made a few minor adjustments. Moreover, they used my old opener, said it would work just fine. They simply gave me what I needed, showed me some options of some other possibilities but were happy for my business and respectful. No pressure, no upselling, and didn't lie to me about how much cooler my garage would be with an insulated door. Anthony, who did the install, was on time, very professional, and respectful of my home. He was also very personable and laid back, which is very important to me. He made suggestions about a new opener if I ever wanted to go that route and gave me cost breakdowns, as well as ways to actually save money. Unreal. Do yourself a favor, don't call anyone else. I'm not floating you'll get a door in a week, but I know Lucas will do everything he can to make sure the process is as seamless for me as it was for you. They value customers. read more
