The manager also called back twice to make sure we were happy with the job. Although I missed those voice messages I figure posting about my experience here will make up for that. It's always tough when you are trying to hang a new door on an old frame that may not be perfectly straight anymore. And yes only time will tell if the fit holds. In my situation, the issue was several doors not closing appropriately, one of the doors being my very large, very heavy front door. I had a misshap and backed into my garage door. The door had been abused by the previous owners and is about 18 years old. I called Garage Door Grunts and they were able to fit me in the very next day. When Devin showed up he was friendly, professional and took time to understand the issue and what would be the best solution. After a bit of discussion, and pointing out the issues, I decided to go with a new door. He was able to temp fix the door so it would close all the way and still be operational until the new door arrives. Again, Devin represented the company really well. So far it has been a very positive experience. I will update this post with the review/experience of the door install. UPDATE TO MY REVIEW - 10/11/2023 Here is my update for the garage door installation. First, as promised, the next day the office staff called me to schedule a date for my install and to confirm the door I would like to order. They were friendly and sent me over pictures and the invoice etc., before they scheduled my appointment to make sure we were all on the same page (HOA's can be a pain in the...). Second, they were able to schedule the install the very next week. Nice to know the companies they order from have items in stalk for them. They let me know of who would be out to install and informed me of the text notification I would be getting about 30 minutes before they arrived. Third, Kyle showed up at the scheduled time, he was very polite, he reviewed my order before he got started to make sure we were on the same page on what work was to be performed. He asked me if it would be ok to back his truck up in my driveway (again, very courteous as many people don't ask). And he reviewed what he was going to do and provided an approximate time of how long it would take to install. When Kyle was finished, he walked me through what he did, confirmed the door was operational and was to my satisfaction. By the way he did a great job with the install, no gaps around the door, it opens and closes smoothly and it sooo much quieter than the last door. Again, he was very courteous, knowledgeable and made sure that I was happy with the work. I couldn't be happier with this company. It was Sunday afternoon just got back from running errands, I hitting the button to open your garage door and nothing happens, I tried it a second time, again nothing happened...what is going on? So, I walked through the front door and checked out why it wasn't opening...aaaahhh is that spring supposed to be in two pieces?...oh no! What a great experience! I called around, and got estimates on a new opener and the quotes were all over the place. These guys were several hundred less, and were able to come the same day! The technician Kyle, was extremely courteous and professional, and there were no surprises. Explained the repair was good for 18 months. Four years later all still good but the outside trim was worn, the bottom gasket to keep out pests was worn. Found a 4ft bull snake after a rain storm in the garage because of the worn gasket. A tech came out , explained the options etc. Used an IPAD, the door I wanted too expensive.But replaced everything new with an insulated door for 1/2 of the price of what I wanted. Set me up with a financial plan for $39 per month. The new door is super quiet.Looks nice too! The door manufacturer is Clopay, so they make commercial & residential units.They made the process pretty easy, no big application to fill out .. 3 weeks the door arrived from the factory. Garage doors are made custom to each customer's specific needs. If you "want fast food" like changed in one day you will not be happy. Good Quality, Great Service, Great Follow up. Frank my install tech was amazing! This company has been in business a long time,no challenges with the BBB. They survived covid , and have a good google rating. So they do installs for HomeDepot so they are busy & experienced. I would use them again. So bottom line the purchase was$3300.00. . The bougie door I wanted was $6k.. So now you know.
