LOL How is the place still in business? I needed two new motors and springs back in 2023 and they sent out a guy who clearly assumed I hadn't done this before who quoted me $2600. I told him no thanks ... THEN HE REFUSED TO LEAVE WITHOUT CHARGING ME A TRIP CHARGE that was never disclosed when scheduling the appointment. We ended up ordering the parts off Amazon & getting a handyman to do it for wayyyyy less. Doors work perfectly since. I wouldn't recommend this company in a million years. read more

Beware and do your homework first! Declined to pay $1100-1500 for 2 springs. Plus the tech didn't catch the fraying cable! We paid for the service call & the invoice included the breakdown cost for low/high/max springs which was lower than what the tech showed on his iPad. Hmm wonder why $$$. A competitor provided us with high quality springs and new cable for less than the cost of their lowest quality product! read more

These guys are criminal with what they are charging. for a $300 opener they are selling it for $1,065, plus you need to pay their installation and shop fees on top of that. a 355% markup is insane. We needed a diagnoses and their technician also charged us a tuneup on top of that without our permission. Overall poor service, poor pricing and poor communication. Shame on you. read more

Had an issue with our garage door not shutting or opening all the way. Called A-Authentic garage door service to come out and take a look. They charge $65.00 to show up, but would wave cost if they provided service. After looking at the door the came up with a proposal of $2,099.00, which had them replacing everything, but the door itself and the tracks. I asked if it could be repaired and the tech said it was so old he couldn't even touch the motor and the rollers was so worn they had to be replaced. Told them I wanted a second opinion and called Advanced Garage Door, which came out within a couple of hours. They took a look and said for no more than $200.00 they could fix and have it back up and running. I agreed and they ended up changing one small part in motor gear, adjusting the motor tightness, and lubricated all components and it was up and running like new. Total cost was $170.00 and job was finished in an hour. Bottom line A-Authentic is not worth the call or time. Not sure they even provide service, all they tried to do was sell up. This is the problem with Yelp ratings, most of the time the top companies just write there own reviews or have friends do it! If you have garage door service needs call Advanced Garage Door! read more

A-Authentic Garage Doors - This is the quote for the repair - Garage Door Services Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

We called for service of a broken garage door. To our surprise a technician was available to come to our home the same day. The tech took one look at the door and said the door needed to be replaced, at a cost of $6300. When asked about a less expensive alternative he said the next model down (less insulation) would save only $100. We called another service company who looked at the door and said it needed a few new hinges. The work was completed within one hour at a cost of $150, a savings of $6150! read more

They were promp same day help which I really appreciated. Quality of service was good. The value for service was a little pricy $326; included trip charge, resetting the door (came off the track) and spray lube. I should have called another vendor. I needed a little help retacking weather/bug strips that needed to be pulled off initially because of the door coming off the track and warping them (I removed them myself). The tech wanted $160. I said no. I was dissapointed at the legalism of the business. I will call someone else next time. read more

From inquiry to final payment, A-Authentic's customer service has been impressive. My tech, Joe H, was a friendly, thorough and experienced gentleman. He did all he could to keep my cost down while making certain a professional and thorough job was delivered. He let me make the choices on each repair or update necessary or recommended. Never a note of pressure. I wanted to use a small family-owned company for this job, but A-Authentic, one of the biggest garage door companies in AZ, was brilliant from start to finish. They were quickest to respond to my job request here on Yelp and we had an appointment set within an hour of my initial inquiry. read more

BUYER BEWARE!! This is NOT the A-Authentic Garage Door Service company that I knew (and recommended) years before. They still use Darrell's image on their website, but ABSOLUTELY NOT the same company. Notice any reviews prior to 2023 are HORRIBLE! I had them come out to look at broken springs. I trusted the tech and went with the recommendation to replace the springs only to the tune of $1200. The next day, my motor didn't work. Had the Tech back out and he quoted over $1K for a new motor! Needless to say, I later find out that I need a new door! I could have gotten a whole new system for the price of the springs! I've heard they sold to A1 GARAGE. Definitely not the same Authentic Garage Door company and NOT TO BE TRUSTED. read more

If your looking for a repair on a garage door opener ask a lot of questions before agreeing to schedule an appointment with this company. Their website leads you to believe they repair all makes and models and their trucks are well stocked. However after scheduling an appointment for a possible repair and agreeing to a $65 trip change the technician arrived on time the next day. After asking me how old the opener was he told me it probably didn't work because of age. I asked him if he was going to try to fix it and I was told that they didn't have parts for a Genie. My only option was to purchase a new lift master. The price quoted for the least expensive option was over a thousand dollars. I'm sure lift mast is a high quality opener and this company would have provided high quality installation but I was not willing to pay that much for a small one car garage. I paid the $65 for the trip change only because I agreed to pay it and blamed myself for not asking enough questions before I scheduled. I purchased a Genie online with installation for a third of the price of my quote. read more

Absolutely stellar! We had a garage door emergency that caused, among other things, our garage door to not close. This happened in the evening so we had security concerns. We reached out to A Authentic and Dane, the technician, came out very quickly. He easily assessed the problem, which was multi fold, and rectified them while also educating us on the proper tension spring weight as our prior one was vastly insufficient. Strongly recommend this company. read more

When I backed into or partially opened garage door, I contacted A-Authentic Garage Door Service. Jeff B. gave us amazing, fast and reliable service. I was able to contact them online requesting service for specific time frame and they responded within minutes to confirm. I was sent a text when the technician was on the way. With a photo of the technician Jeff B and a short bio of his qualifications. Jeff arrived on time and was friendly and professional. Jeff gave us three options for the repair. One to minimally repair the door, one to repair and reinforce the door for a lasting repair, and a quote to replace the door. He explained each option with the pros and cons of each. There was no sales pressure to choose one over the other. We chose the mid option and the job was done in less than an hour. We are happy with the experience and will use them again. Thank you Jeff B. read more

If I could I would give no stars. I called in this morning to schedule a tune-up for a coupon I had for $99 and the lady said the price was $150, so I advised her I had a coupon for $99 and she said she could not honor it. So I looked at the coupon to notice as you will see in the picture there is no Exp Date or limited quantity or anything and asked why it could not be honored, she put me on hold and another lady came on very direct and pretty much explained the same thing. I scheduled an appointment but canceled it after being referred by a friend to someone he knew for another company. I hate to leave a review but if you send a coupon out with no exp date that is not my fault, plus you paid to get this out in our mailboxes as an advertisement and not going to honor the price. read more

A-Authentic Garage Doors - Garage Door Services Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I called around 5p this afternoon because my garage door stopped working. The lady who answered was warm and told me she could dispatch a technician between 6p and 7p (only an hour later which impressed me). She said it would be a $65 fee to come out, which would be offset if they did any work. I had called one other garage repair company before this and they quoted me $69 to come out the next day, so I felt okay about the $65 same-day fee. 10 minutes later the technician, Dane, called and texted to let me know he was finishing up a job and would be over by 7p. He was right on time. He was professional and clearly communicated what was wrong with my door (the spring had broken but the bearings had been rubbing together and were not in good shape). He ended up doing a full rebuild (components were 9 years old which apparently they go bad every 5-10 years). Overall, a great experience. Dane is a great technician who you should ask for by name if possible. Highly recommend this company and Dane! read more

My son had accidentally hit the garage door off the track, so I called them to repair it. They charged $330 for less than an hour's work. The automatic opener wasn't working and the tech said it would have to be replaced entirely and gave me a ballpark estimate of $900. A friend came over a week or so later and fixed it in just a few minutes. Only use this company if you have money to throw away read more

I had received three different quotes for my garage door, all of which said the only option was replacing it (frustrating to say the least). When Trevian came by this morning, he assessed the door and said that repairs and reinforcements could be made at a fraction of the cost, and could be done immediately. Imagine how happy I was to hear this! He did an amazing job - was so professional and easy to work with. I absolutely recommend A-Authentic and am so grateful for making this easy on me! read more

I had a problem with my garage door who had difficulties to open. I called A-Authentic asking for a repair call and somebody came fast. Right away the guy said the company who made my garage door went under and they cannot find any more parts and I'd better change the whole door. I said no way. The door itself looks OK (this is an insulated door) and I do not want to have to paint it (HOA). He started to give me the long list of everything that needed to be replaced and gave me an estimate for about $2200. He went on and on about all the issues my door can have from being a brand that does not exist anymore. Scare tactic from a shady salesman. I called someone else (see my happy review) who changed just the opener with a new one more powerful. Cost was less than a quarter than the A-Authentic quote. Garage door issue is fixed. The A-Authentic "tech" was a sales rep, as per the written quote I received later. I won't share his name but one thing is sure... I won't call this company again. I do not know if this very high quote came from lack of knowledge from the sales rep/tech or plain dishonesty to take advantage of a little woman. But this was not right. read more

One of the joys of home-ownership is doing costly and time sensitive repairs. You never know how much it's going to cost, how long it will take, if the person will even show up on time - it can make you feel helpless. Thankfully, when our garage door wouldn't go up or down suddenly, this team was right there to help us out. Our spring had worn out and was barely hanging on, coupled with some badly worn bearings - no wonder the door wouldn't budge! A-Authentic was on time, answered all of our questions, told us what necessary repairs we needed vs options for the future, and got us up and rolling in a short matter of time. We will definitely call them if we have trouble in the future, though with their great work we don't anticipate that any time soon. Definitely give them a call if your door is acting up like ours - you won't regret it. read more

I called A-Authentic Garage Doors to replace the back up battery in my garage door opener. They did that without a problem. The technician then proceeds to tell me that I need a whole new garage door and starts pointing out several things that were disasterously wrong with my garage door. I gave a downpayment for the garage door and made arrangements for the install. I called my neighbor to come look at my garage door and he did not see anything wrong with it. I called another garage door repair person who told me not only did I not need a garage door but they were overcharging me by $2,000. It has been almost 3 weeks since I cancelled the order and while they acknowledge that I made the cancellation in the appropriate time they have still not refund my money and refuse to return my phone calls. Very shady company. I will never do business with them again. read more

Please find the attached image of what I'm referencing in this review. This woman provided such a negative review so I feel a need to say something as I've recently worked with this man Derrick. I came on here to leave a 5 star and came across her hideous remarks... Karen, I'm not sure what your experience really was but whatever it was - it doesn't seem to be accurate. I had nothing but the most pleasant experience with this gentleman who additionally advised to me that for reliable and proficient service this is the quote their company offers. He even entice me to call other providers to check on their quotes. I spoke with 3 other garage replacement providers Who quoted very similar pricing, $6-900. I don't know what was wrong with your garage, and I apologize for future issues when your garage door decides to fall on your car as I have never heard of such an astronomically low quote for a garage door repair. You can even look on Groupon and you'll never find that price, as I checked. Your parents chose the right name in naming you Karen- you fit the profile and you're kind of a bully having multiple people leave reviews.. that's not cool girl. read more

A-Authentic garage door service was the first vendor on Yelp to respond to my quote request when the garage door at my rental broke. They were able to service the door that same day and complete the repair quickly. While it was costly due to the type of garage door, the service rep was incredibly courteous, friendly, and communicated effectively between my tenant and myself to ensure everyone understood the work required and the cost. I'd highly recommend this company if you need immediate help with a garage door! read more

First off I want to say that our new garage doors are beautiful and extremely quiet. The installation was done efficiently and he cleaned up after himself. It was a very hard job for 1 person to do since we have 3 garage doors and they are slightly over size. The reason for the 4 stars is they charged us a 3% credit card fee when I paid by check. I brought this to their attention as soon as I saw the receipt and asked them to refund this to me. I was told I would have to speak to a manager. ??? Then I was told one would call me and I was also told that I would get my refund. This was on July 21, 2022. I did not get a call. I called again on Aug 3rd and was told a manager would call me the next day. No one did. I don't understand why it is so difficult to refund a fee that I shouldn't have been charged. I don't understand why the manager has to call me, but won't. Everything was fine about the installation and the doors except this stupid $400 fee. Why ruin your rating over $400. read more

Disclaimer, my review is based on one phone call with them. I called them due to a broken cable. I asked them if I could send them a few pictures of the broken cable over the phone but she said NO, they had to come out to the property and they charge $65 fee to come out. Rachel, the lady on phone was nice and professional. But by not just taking a quick look at the pix (which would allow easy diagnosis by phone) they get you to invest $65 ("sunk costs") which means that you more than likely have to go with them once they come out otherwise you're out the $65. I understand that is a business strategy however transparent pricing would be fairer to your hard working customers. *Disclaimer: These are my personal opinions read more

Patrick is wonderful! He has helped with two different garages at two different houses. He is a great and honest tech. He tries to fix it before telling you that you need a new one. Over the weekend our garage spring broke, I was avoiding calling to get it fixed because I didn't want the typical "We'll be there between 8am and midnight" window. I called A-Authentic and was told a technician would be out in the next hour and within 15 minutes Shawn was at my door. He took a look over the garage door, explained to me what he suggested fixing and why, then explained it to my boyfriend over the phone so I wouldn't have to try to explain later. Shawn was incredibly friendly and from the time I called to the end of repair was about an hour. We switched to dual springs per Shawn's suggestion and our garage door is quieter now than I ever thought possible. We will definitely be calling again if we have any garage door issues in the future! read more

Matt and Joe were super helpful and patient. I was late arriving to the house for a 4pm appointment and they were so kind and understanding. They inspected our garage door that had been installed recently in January of this year. They told me about the option to purchase nylon wheels which would make it quieter and smoother...but did not pressure me into purchasing them, which I appreciated a bunch. They linked my Wi-Fi app to the company for future issues (which notifies them before I even do). They even said hi to my two pups and stayed a bit longer to visit on a late Friday appointment (when I'm sure they were ready to head home and start their weekend). Superior over anyone else...best customer service! Thanks so much! read more

They seem to always find something that must be done, subtle pressure to do it.They are overpriced and they charge $155 for a basic service plan that others do for $79. They advertise you can cancel the plan any time good luck all you get is a run around and that only Heather can handle, she does not handle it. Trevian came to my house and put the hard sale on me for new springs. I've seen from other reviews this may be a pattern for the company. I had just purchased the house and the springs had been replaced two weeks prior so I knew they were good. I had simply screwed up my tension cables when I was trying to adjust the door and needed help reconnecting and adjusting. When I informed Trevian of this he started talking about metal shavings and yada yada. I paid him his $65 trip fee and moved on. So much for the free estimate. read more
