I hired 4 Ace Tile as I received a recommendation from a tile supply business. I had not looked at the Yelp reviews but many are very old so here is an updated review for Dec 2024. First, Antonio the owner was VERY communicative. We spoke a lot about out bathroom tile and what was needed. I send him a lot of photos and he always texted or called. I hired Antonio based on our conversation and he immediately had us meet him at a tile store in Modesto. We had white ceramic tiles and grout that were from 1999 and this we upgraded to a slate style tile with dark grout that won't get nasty like white grout.**= We talked options and selected our tile. We received a quote and in the end the quote was just about spot on. He contacted me each day letting me know when the crew was coming. His crew (met 4 of them over the week) were all polite and professional. They do speak English as their second language but Antonio constantly communicates to make sure all is well. In the end we got the bathroom look we wanted at a reasonable price. Any comments about lack of communication are just not the case in my experience and there are always people who aren't good clients. Fortunately I saw the reviews after I hired him and while concerned, I soon realized I had a great guy to get the job done. We are very pleased and we are having him do our entire kitchen counters next. 5 stars for 2024! See before and after shots. Floor still is drying until Friday but you'll get the idea. read more

First, I wish I could give more than five stars. My job started as a small bathroom remodel. As the job progressed, it was going so smoothly and effortlessly on my part that we decided to remodel our master bath and our kitchen. Antonio and Maria were helpful professional and attentive. Just had 4 Ace do the tile in my house. Very disappointed with the job. Would not recommend. Owner does not understand customer service and did not care if the job was done correctly or not, only that the job was done. Each time I had a legitimate question about the job he became defensive and acted like I insulted him. I got tired of asking him to fix the minor problems and just gave him the final payment so he would leave the house. My carpet installer is coming to finish tile tucking the hall to bathroom where 4 Ace tile could not finish the job. read more

We chose 4 Aces Tile to do our guest bath about 4 years ago because they beat the other two bidders. We had a problem with one of the tiles due to a manufacturer defect and 4 Aces was back to fix it the next day. A problem isn't a problem if it gets fixed. So, when we recently redid our master shower we didn't call anyone else. Antonio as always was polite and efficient. They did the job as they said they would, on time and on budget. And they have very nice people working for him, Victor and Ernie. This is the go to company for tile work. read more

Total flakes! Don't hire! We had Antonio come out to give us an estimate for a shower remodel along with a guy named Manuel from Pro Plumbing. This was on a Thursday. They claimed they could could do the whole job including replacement of the shower door. Antonio said he would call us on Monday to give us a quote. He NEVER called. We called Antonio back Tuesday and he said he would get back to us later that day or by Wednesday at the latest. The whole week went by and he NEVER called.If he can't even follow through to make a call, we have little faith that he could be responsible to do the job! I had my kitchen countertops done by 4Ace Tile and was not very pleased. I have had granite done in my last two houses and it was nothing like this. The owner seemed to be in a rush every time I spoke to him and didn't appear to be very educated in my opinion. The issues that I feel are things that need to be discussed but he had an excuse for everything I brought up and did not appear that he cared. He made me feel that quality was not his main focus and that all he wanted was to get paid regardless if I was happy or not. The owner has no people skills and I would give him a negative star if possible. Very disappointed and the sad part is that I will need to pay additional fees to another company to fix his issue. Had 4 Ace do the fabrication of my granite countertops and we were very disappointed. I would not recommend this company to anybody. The owner is very unprofessional and most importantly dishonest. He does not take pride in his work and would have to agree that he does not have customer service skills. My kitchen had to be taken back to the shop to be fixed only to be told that they knew it was wrong but he told them to send it out anyway. Not a very good business person. read more

I don't know what those other two reviews are talking about, Antonio is awesome. He did two of my bathroom showers and we just hired him again to re-do our kitchen. We could not be happier with their work. 4 Ace Tile is our go to company for any and all tile work. Highly recommended. read more
