Food (4/5): The garlic and lemon flavor really comes through on their plates. I got their crab and shrimp plate which comes with 2 corn, sausage, and rice. It is super seasoned, the crab legs are easy to break, and it had juicy shrimp. The only thing that took a point away was their sausages, it was super salty, but I would definitely go back for more! Price (4/5): Pretty expensive lemonade, their large was $6. I didn't get the large drink, but with my small drink and crab and shrimp plate, I paid ~ $37. Pretty expensive but this plate alone will be enough for 2 people or to take home for later and the quality is worth it! Service (3/5): Suuupper slow, we came in with 5 parties ahead of us. It took them 30 minutes to get through the parties to take the order and another 30 minutes to cook the food. I suggest coming around 3-3:30 which is when we arrived. Ambiance (3/5): Currently, there are 4 tables outside but only 2 of them have an umbrella.

I have followed this establishment on IG for a long time. I finally went a month ago and was soooo disappointed. The seafood boil I got didn't have good flavor and the bag seemed to be full of oil instead of flavor. I'd say the shrimp was the best flavored of everything that was in the bag. The potato's didn't have ANY flavor and were hard. I always imagined that the egg in these boils were peeled so that the eggs start to absorb the flavor.. but I had to peel them.. again, wasn't impressed. They also failed to put my corn in the bag which is one of my favorites. I should have canceled my order when I saw the people in the back preparing my order without masks during a pandemic but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and was disappointed.

Nasty, Overcooked Steak with more mushy Minute rice

What in the bloody hell are you trying to do us!? We ordered $100 worth of food and instead got lies, deceit and false advertisement. I've been eyeballing this place on Instagram, even pulled up one time but the line was extreme so we said next time. They finally have everything set up so we could place an online order instead of walk ins. Decided to do it that way to save us some time since we stay in Inglewood and this place is in Carson. All 3 of us had build your own, shrimp, crab, lobster, steak and all the sides corn, potatoes, sausage and rice. It took about 25 minutes before the food was ready, by the time we arrived we waited another 5 mins and when we went inside she was just wrapping it up. Customer service wasn't as bad as a lot of the other reviews experience. We get where we're going, the thing about seafood it gets cold really quickly, so I can't even fault the blame on them, just reheat it in the oven for a few minutes. I wouldn't order delivery from here just based off how they send the food, I can't see it ever making it to you hot. Cons: I'm trying to remember when's the last time I had steak this bad? I can't recall but the steak was beyond well done and I don't even like my meat well done I prefer medium, unless I can choose meat temp, never again. I couldn't even chew it, a lot of pieces had to much fat or gristle, I was constantly spitting it up into a napkin and just gave up. Good cuts of Steaks have fat marbleization, which make them rich, and juicy and if they cook it right it should be tender and soft with the right amount of firm on the exterior. The Snow Crab, I purposely put some gloves on and cracked all the shells and took the meat out so I could eat a lot of it at once instead of sucking on the shells one by one. I noticed most of them I broke open, barely had any meat inside sometimes none at all. If I didn't I would've been over here sucking on air. I weighed them out they came to 6 Oz, we can't even get 1/2 a lb of crab just 8 Oz bruv, come on. The corn, I saw someone say "you guys don't taste the same anymore", "you served me old food" and that was a few hours before I had my food. This being my first time I have nothing to compare them too but I don't think the food was old it was just NASTY. The corn was Frozen not fresh, I've never had good frozen corn. That's really a personal preference. The Rice, was super mushy definitely Minute rice. I'm a rice fanatic so anything less than fresh rice is an abomination. There's no reason you guys can't make real rice, it doesn't take long at all, get a bigger pot or rice cooker. The only other thing I can think of is you guys are cheap asf, and real rice is expensive OR you just can't cook rice and should stick to fries. We ended up making our own rice. The Sausage, I didn't see how this was made but the texture tasted like it was boiled, the only time I'm going for that is if it's gumbo, other certain dishes. All it did was remind me of Bologna sandwiches I ate growing up, definitely wasn't a good reminder. Finally the SALT, the Got Damn SALT! Whoever was cooking on Sunday FIRE them! They can not COOK! I know you guys want to keep it in the family, but you guys aren't cooking from home anymore and need some licensed professionals in the back of house!!! I didn't eat 1/2 my food and the portion I was eating on went straight into the TRASH! There was no flavor, no garlic, butter, Cajun, old bay etc it didn't taste like anything but the bottom of the SEA! The sauce was disgusting to and wasn't properly emulsified so it had this separation and curdled texture. Pros: The shrimp they gave me 12, they were all big and deveined but still salty ASF like a licked a mans nuts straight from the gym. Also the potatoes, surprisingly were crispy instead of soggy, nice size and were the only things not salty. The lobster was good but it didn't come on a tail like in photos they put it on a stick which was odd, meaning they may not even have real fresh lobster tails at the moment. Man look, I use to work at Red Lobster even they aren't all that but as far as seafood goes this was a poor experience, and some of the worst seafood I've ever had in my life. If you want high blood pressure and constipation this is the place for you. Out of ALL these black owned Insta Businesses, Billionaire Burger Boyz and Grilled Fraiche have been the best so far. I will NOT be returning, high prices but low quality food.

Got two plates and two cakes today and my receipt total is $67.45 and the on my bank statement it says total is $80.94....I'm guessing they gave themselves a tip? That's pretty unethical on their behalf. Only reason they get 2 stars is because the food is halfway decent. Probably won't be receiving my business again due to their unethical actions.

The drive from Carson back to Rancho Cucamonga was a good one especially after my 1st bite. Mostly everything was pretty consistent and flavorful. I ordered 5 plates(yup I did because I can. Brought a little back to share with the neighbors lol)... 1) 2 Shrimp and chicken 2) 2 Lobster and shrimp 3) 1 Crab and shrimp Definitely my favorite A mouth full of flavor I was also pleased with the service however I can see the frustration in people's face when I picked up my order. The lady had to stop taking orders to get the ready orders out to everyone. (The only thing that was "meh" was the corn. Of the 5 plates 2 pcs were hard undercooked) Overall it was worth the drive.

Happy hour crab & shrimp plate 3
    Kevin P.

First thing I saw when I walked in was a lady checking her bank account and I immediately thought it was a sign that this place was expensive.. I quickly learned that this place's prices were fair and the reason she was checking her bank account was cause her whole family knew she was getting food here so everyone wanted some too! I got the $25 (plus tax) happy hour meal which included a generous amount of rice, potatoes, sausage, crab legs, & shrimp. It was well worth it. The flavor of the lemon butter and paprika/parsley seasonings all complimented the plate well! The shrimp was grilled close to godliness and the tail was easy to remove with the one bite & tug method. I highly recommend this restaurant. A truly hidden gem in Carson

Let me tell you something... this place is unmatched! Real Cajun food by real black people, MADE to order! I don't mind the wait because I love freshly cooked food, certainly my seafood! Here's the trick I always order ahead on their website! I live in San Bernardino, before I leave my house certainly on the weekends, I place my order from the comfort of my home or vehicle. They don't have a printed menu anyway, they're going to tell you to scan the QR code... might as well do it before you get there. By the time i get there, I've already gotten an email saying my order is ready. the food is made fresh and they are popular, you gotta bring your patience. I'm not the BIGGEST fan of the music but others aren't the biggest fan of mine The food is great!! And a full plate of it for the pretty good price.

Okay, I'm from the Bay & somehow came across this spot via instagram. My fam live out here, never heard of the spot so we was hyped to try it. My sister and I went here yesterday around 6:10pm. The girl with the 2 french braids and half a set of cute nails done helped us. She was friendly and her customer service was good, so A+ for her. She said the food would be done in 20 mins, it took about 10...cool! Opened the container, food looked like it was smacking for real. Lifted up my crab took a big scoop of the rice and sausage The rice tasted like Uncle Ben's boxed rice but it was like stale old rice. I then saw these little brown things about the size of the sausage, picked it up with my finger and said to my sister "I'm not sure what these are" she said "maybe a potato" I then took a bite and it was an over cooked rubbery potato! I cracked open a crab leg, one didn't have any meat inside. Cracked open another one, that one had meat and no flavor besides that damn white sauce Tasted the corn, which had the white sauce on there but no flavor, besides the white sauce taste. Lifted the crab up, stirred the food some got ready to take another bite and there was a short/medium length dark orangey/ brown (in the light) piece of hair that I pulled. When I pulled the hair it came from like where the corn was to the front of my food container, And that was it for me! About 45 mins later my stomach was rumbling & turning! About 30 mins after that I was blowing my sister bathroom up, pooping like I had the runs or something with horrible stomach pain. I was expecting the food to really be fire & taste like seafood. All you could taste was that white sauce, it overpowered the meal & there was a bit of spice, maybe creole seasoning. Like boy throw some bay seasoning on that shit & some salt on the corn with a little bay seasoning sprinkled on top of that. Cook & store your rice properly whether its boxed or fresh, don't serve nobody no over cooked potatoes & I don't know if those cooks in the back wear hair nets, but if they don't you definitely need to have them wearing nets. I for surely wasn't expecting to find the damn hair in my food. I mean I wasn't going to finish the meal anyway because my stomach was starting to hurt but the hair definitely sealed the deal. & if your credit card machines weren't oh so conveniently out of order, I definitely would dispute the $64 I paid for me and my sister's meal here it is the next morning (Sunday) @ 8:23 am and my stomach still fuxxed up

Salmon and Shrimp Plate, with a Sugar Cane Junkie drink.

I have been wanting to try 3Stakxs for the past 3 years, it's been a grind to want to get some grub from this joint! Finally got the chance to this year, and let me tell y'all it was worth it. I got the salmon and shrimp plate, the salmon was tasty and the shrimp was great too. They don't skimp you of the shrimp, they put enough. The seasoning was on point as well! Definitely will be back. Plus they had Sugar Cane Junkies there from San Bernardino, don't sleep on the Sugar Cane Junkie drinks! They are definitely worth it! Supporting all Black Businesses.

Somebody said this place is closed? Is it really?

Yes, it's closed! I went a couple of weeks ago, and there was an eviction notice on the door!

I'd love to try this place! I've seen it all over social media, but I have a very severe seafood allergy. Can I trust them not to cross-contaminate?

You should, they're very professional and very clean with their food. You're going to love it!

This review is for the Paramount location. I got a few items: Dino rib, pork ribs, brisket, sausage, mac and cheese and corn bread. I'll start with the positives. The mac and cheese and corn bread were decent. Also they took 15 minutes to give me all the varied food I ordered which should have been my red flag to run, but I decided to live dangerously and was punished severely for it. Now on to the travesty, the meat. The theme for today was dry, old and shameless. The pork was somehow undercooked and dry. Which if you can endure the cruelty, is actually kind of impressive. The brisket resembled beef jerky. I'm including pictures of the brisket since those speak much more eloquently than I can. I love to cook and I infamously over season my dishes. But all these meats were at a whole another level. Not salty but aggressively peppery and just ham handed. The rub was flavorful but it blew out my palette instantly. Please take this to heart: less is more. In terms of meat quality? Cheap. My Dad is a butcher, I can tell. Everything being reheated did the meat quality no favors either. The seasoning was further exacerbated because the ribs, both dino and pork, were almost entirely bone. So you have a ton of seasoning on a lick of meat. It was a recipe for disaster. And price? Expensive, especially for what I received. Insulting for what I received. I'll end it here. I don't want to waste your time like this place wasted mine.

We landed on My Father's Barbeque and I remembered hearing radio ads from the local radio station. as we pulled in the whole strip mall is under construction. Parking was easy but there's no marquee signs on the building nor addresses so we had to look for a small banner on the chain-link fence out in front of the business. We walked in and the hostess was taking a phone order and right away the Chef said WELCOME! and came over to greet us and showed us the limited menu since they and just reopened due to the construction, she told us items they had but were not on the board. The young lady thanked us for waiting and asked if she could help us. Ok many have said the customer service was bad but that was not our experience, we had very pleasant and friendly the WHOLE time we were here! We placed our order 2 dinner plates - 1- 2 meats(brisket& pulled pork) w/bacon potato salad & greens; 1-1 meat(rib tips) w/macaroni & cheese & beans. As we were waiting they offered some Texas toast, they checked on us as we were waiting and time seemed to go by. I think we waited about 20 minutes for our food to come. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. The meats were seasoned well and very tender. The macaroni & cheese was cheesy and tasted great. The greens were cooked with cabbage and smoked turkey, the beans had a slight sweetness and had some brisket pieces and the potato salad was made with red potatoes with the skin left on it. It was filled with onions, celery and bacon yummy! While there Chef Sharlamar Lane came over and introduced herself again and checked in to see how everything was tasting. We gave her our honest opinions and she appreciated us for coming in. We had the opportunity to taste the brisket chili fries......OMG y'all those were fire and the fries were still crispy even though all the veggie, chilli, chees & brisket were on top. Oh we also got some peach cobbler which was heavy on the crust, it wasn't too sweet and it tasted really good. Overall this was a really amazing meal and enough food for left overs. i love supporting our black-owed businesses and putting the $$$ back into our communities. Please go visit My Father's Barbeque in about 3 weeks when they're up and running back to normal with all the favorite food options on the menu, we'll definitely be back to get the whole experience. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket, beef sausage, potato salad, and coleslaw with texas toast. Also the bbq sauce on the side had good smoke flavor and not too sweet. The brisket had a good mix of both point and flat. The point was juicy and rich, while the flat was a little leaner but still solid. Great smoke ring, great bark, and overall really good flavor. The in-house beef sausage was the surprise hit for me. Huge portion with two links, packed with flavor, and not overly spicy. They nailed it. Now the sides. The bacon potato salad was one of the best I've had. Chunky style just the way I like it, with good bacon flavor, not drowning in mayo, and I think there was a little green onion in there too. The coleslaw was unlike any I've had before in the best way possible. Mix of cabbage, bell pepper, red onion, carrot, and parsley with what tasted like a little rub seasoning mixed in. Not too tangy, not too sweet. I'll be ordering it every time. The atmosphere was clean, updated, and not overly smoky like some BBQ spots can get. Service was great despite some of the reviews I've seen online. You can tell they've got a loyal crowd of regulars and the staff actually knows them by name, which says a lot. This place is officially going into my BBQ rotation. Big menu, great specials, and everything tasted like people actually cared about making it right. Pro tip: if you're ordering a big meal or want fish, call ahead. All the frying is done fresh to order.
