Food = DELICIOUS! Service = Exceptional. I contacted 3rd Coast after reading reviews and needing Catered BBQ for an event. Our robotics team was hosting 5 international teams preparing for World's Competition. We wanted to demonstrate radical hospitality and share some Texas BBQ with international students from The Netherlands, Taiwan, China and Turkey. 3rd Coast BBQ was a HUGE hit! They had 4th and 5th servings! They ate so much I am sure we are sending them home 10 pounds heavier! We has chopped beef, pulled pork, turkey and sausage, chipotle coleslaw, mac and cheese, banana pudding, and peach cobbler. EVERY SINGLE THING - Fantastic. Call them - you will be glad you did (and so will your guests). Signed - a very impressed customer!

I had a friend in town and didn't want to make the trip to the pit room. The staff was incredible and walked us through the entire menu, providing recommendations and portion info. They also gave us free beers! Bbq was great, and there's an awesome back yard set up to eat in. My friends and I especially liked the burnt ends, pork ribs, and the homemade pickles that were out back!

Hands-down, the best brisket I found while living in Texas for the past three years. You can take this with a grain of salt since I'm not native TX, but I love barbecue and I have tried a number of spots throughout the Houston and greater Houston area. I was up in the Woodlands and read some great reviews about third coast, it is as authentic as they come, run by a family who loves making great food. I recommend it to anyone in the area.

I love me some southern side dishes. I happily ordered the collard greens and it's just as I expected, strong meat taste, super oily (drained out the oil) and it was great. The cole slaw was a win for me too since it wasn't drowned in mayo and instead had a slight kick to it. Meat was nothing special.

Pinto beans are very flavorful... but have a kick!

Flavor profile is "Cajun" and leaning to the spicier side... Everything, including the sides, have a strong pepper kick. Maybe to-go orders aren't their forte, but by the time we made it home (about 20minutes later), all the meats were dry. Reheating just made it worse, as if there were no juices left to revive. Not a fan, sorry.

Love their meats! Especially the rack of ribs with my ginger beer! Excellent customer service! Support small business and they cater!

They've recently been listed on the Houston Chronicle's Top 30 in Houston so had to give them a try. They've got a very cool little shack just across I-45 from The Woodlands, you order at the window and they bring it out, 100% outdoor seating at picnic tables, but shaded with fans. I got a late lunch at 1:30pm and found the meat lukewarm and the fat had started to congeal on both fatty brisket and ribs. Very disappointing as it was clear that the underlying flavor was good or excellent - hard to tell when it's not warm and the fat is sticky. I found their house sausage to be bland and uninteresting, but the potato salad, baked beans, and pickles were all excellent. I think they deserve another try, but I don't understand selling a $40 lunch and not getting the temp right.

Why 4 stars? Because I had a mixed experience, but still a solid one overall. --- --- --- This was another place I've had bookmarked for quite a while and just never had the chance to visit. Recently, I decided to make the trek over on a solo mission and finally get it done. MEATS: Moist Brisket: 4-stars. Very good brisket, just not top top tier. Burnt Ends: 5-stars. Yeah, these were the best thing I ordered. These were crispy on the outside, but melted in your mouth. Bravo to you, chef. Ribs: 4.5-stars. I just ordered the side portion with two small ribs. The first rib I ate was just like the pork belly: AMAZINGLY tender. But then the second one was very different, so I guess I'm torn here. The second one certainly wasn't bad, but it just wasn't like the first one that was perfection. SIDES: Coleslaw: 2-stars. Unfortunately, I didn't like anything about the flavor of this slaw and only took a few bites before giving up on it. Mac-n-cheese: 3-stars. It's very creamy, but I didn't love it. It was fine, but not something I'd need to order again. OTHER: Sauce: 2-stars. This was a very strong and unique BBQ sauce that I was not a fan of at all. I wish I could pinpoint what it was that I didn't like about it, but I can't quite identify what the flavor was. It came out kind of chunky, so it just seems like they packed a bunch of stuff into it and the combination equalled to something that didn't agree with my taste buds. Outdoor Seating: I'm not going to give this a "rating" because it's not like it's the fault of 3rd Coast, I just wanted to point this out. I elected to sit outside despite the heat, because the fans and the shade made it not nearly as hot as it would have been otherwise. Unfortunately, I was in the midst of an all out war with flies the entire time I was eating. I would take a bite and then have to wave my arms maniacally the entire time. I think the person who took my order said there was indoor seating, but I just made the decision that I was going to stick it out. If I went back again in the summer, I would absolutely not do that again.

Such a good find! Did a 20 mile run in the area and decided to get some local BBQ to restore the calorie deficit. The BBQ was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the sides. My partner said this might be the best BBQ sauce he's had - not spicy but definitely has a good amount of pepper. We loved every bite! Also loved the outdoor seating area available, especially since we were both sweaty after the workout. Lots of activities and areas for kiddos to run around. The workers were extremely kind and helpful. We will be back!

Enjoyed this delicious bbq for our work Christmas luncheon. Everything was well seasoned, the meat was so tender and delicious. We enjoyed the spicy kick in the pintos, Mac and cheese. The potato salad was delightful. I loved the jalapeño sausage and brisket was my favorite. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

My sister recommended this spot. It's in a house/lawyer office. I felt like I was attending a catered party at a friend's house. The brisket sandwich was ok. The turkey baked potato could have been better. The sides were AMAZING! The mac and cheese was so yummy. The coleslaw had a bit of a kick and would have been great with some shrimp. The banana pudding was a bit watery and the cobbler was ok. Overall, I would comeback just for the sides and would try other proteins.

This is such an interesting spot!! I've driven past hundreds of times after getting McDonald's down the street and honestly had no clue this gem was there! The restaurant is in an old house, which is so quirky. The indoor seating is in a living room w a full kitchen next to it. All part of the charm though. The outdoor seating is really nice and I would be down to come back at night to see what the vibe is like. The service itself was really quick and friendly! I got the pulled pork sandwich which was pretty good. I also tried the Cajun potato salad, which was just the right amount of spicy. I would definitely come back and bring hungry friends!

3rd Coast BBQ & Catering I had a great lunch yesterday with my brothers at Rosemeyer Bar-B-Q It was a great way to end my Texas trip. It was also great to see Miss Dee Dee, Troy, Drew, and the rest of the crew. This is one of my favorite BBQ spots to just sit and relax. Review Whoa boy: is their version of a po boy comes with brisket, turkey, and slaw and it was amazing. Texas cheesesteak: another good twist on a cheesesteak brisket, cheese, and peppers on a bambino baguette I mean this is one of the better cheesesteaks I've eaten in a while. Brisket boudin: spicy homemade boudin was amazing. Overall: if you are looking for a good Louisiana/Texas BBQ mix please give them a try also I know crawfish season will be here before we know it and I've heard from multiple people they have some of The best Crawfish in Montgomery County so they might be a spot to add to your list.

The bbq was good but if it's to go, it would be better to put the meat on the side instead of on the bun because it made for a soggy mess.

CORKSCREW BBQ is Houston's Michelin star restaurant! It is about 30 minutes drive north of Houston,…read morewhich isn't super bad. They are only open Wednesday-Saturday 11AM-4PM. We came a little earlier and there was already a long line. I heard that if you order in advance, you can skip the line. While you wait, the employees walk around and you can order a drink. Which is nice if you're waiting a while and it gets hot. The employees were all very nice and ambiance is how you would expect a regular bbq restaurant to be. There are plenty of seating outside but limited inside. The seats are all first come first serve, so usually the inside seating runs out first. We ordered 1/2lb ribs, 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb sausages, and some sides like Mac&cheese, beans, loaded potato, cobbler, etc. total was about $120 after tip. The food was very delicious and worth the drive. Although, I will say that it doesn't taste that much different from my other favorite bbq restaurants. I was still a great experience and very delicious. I highly recommend to try if you're in the area.

Since they were awarded their Michelin star, I've been wanting to try CorkScrew... in particular,…read moretheir beef rib. Beef ribs are my go to bbq protein, and not many places have them. I've tried those deemed "the best," including Salt Lick in Driftwood and Killen's. So how did CorkScrew measure up? In addition to the beef rib, we tried the moist brisket, pulled pork, and sausage. We also tried several sides, including those recommended in the Michelin review: potato salad, mac and cheese, smokey beans, and coleslaw, and I picked up a peach cobbler, as well. The beef rib: STELLAR. This was outstanding with its flavorful bark and an impossibly tender texture that truly melts in your mouth, unlike any other beef rib I've ever had. Easily the very best beef rib, without a doubt. The brisket was delicious, as well: tender and flavorful. The sausage was nothing special... on par with sausage elsewhere, as was the pork. As for the sides, I've never been a fan of beans, but since the Michelin review specifically mentioned them, I gave them a try. I'm a fan! I would definitely order these again. Their smokiness is gently tamed by a touch of sweetness. The rest? Very average. The mac and cheese tasted like the stuff I had in my elementary school cafeteria - very un-special. The potato salad was salty and was missing any semblance of potato chunks. The texture was oddly like lumpy mashed potatoes. But the other surprise for me: the cobbler. This was simply and divinely perfect with crisp, sweet buttery crumble. A wonderful way to end a hearty meal. I'm so glad I ordered our food online for pickup. When I arrived at 1pm, the line was wrapped around the building. Pickup was very easy: I texted them when I arrived, and they replied when they were ready for me to go in and retrieve it. But even if there wasn't a line, I would never eat there: the restaurant is too divey for me: very rustic, picnic-like feel both inside and out, and it was uncomfortably warm and humid (again, inside and out.) The staff was very friendly and cheerful. Glad i tried it, and when i get a hankering for a good beef rib, this is definitely where I'll be getting it!

Called ahead to learn that they open at noon and at a different location than usual - now at the Firestone Car Care lot on Holzworth, just south of Louetta and across from AMC 10/adjacent to Home Depot. Had read online that lines/wait could be long and that good is liable to run out. Fortunately, since we got an early start, arrived to find just one person ahead of us. Owners were very welcoming/friendly. Their little daughter took our order on a tablet. Ordered a Veggie Potato and 2x Two-Meat Plates (moist brisket and garlic links, each) which came with two sides (ordered BBQ beans, 2 x potato salad, and corn). Tab came to $50, which is not bad these days. Portions were plentiful and the meats were juicy and tender - the BBQ sauce was not overly sweet; had a nice vinegary flavor to it and complimented the meats very well. The Potato was huge and very tasty - a happy medley of Cheddar cheese, Spinach and other veggies, with a yummy twice-baked taste. The BBQ Beans contained ground beef and had a nice kick of heat. Potato Salad and Corn too were yummy! The orders came with two slices each of regular white bread. Jalapeños in the photos are mine. Overall, the reviews are spot-on; one of the better BBQ food places in the area, by far. Run by a friendly family - service is efficient and you return with a nice smoky smell on yourself as you wait to have your order prepared! Love it! An equally impressive accolade is their name on the 2025 Michelin Guide. One more cool fact while I'm at it, they do all this working out of a trailer parked on the side of the highway! My BBQ homies and I arrived about an hour early to make sure we get everything we wanted to try as this place does sell out quick. Pro tips, bring your own seats and in our case, an umbrella for those quick spring shower. We came prepared with a cooler of adult beverages, but come to find out, we didn't even need it. This awesome place provides a huge cooler full of free beer while you wait! In the Texas sun, this is much appreciated. Right outside the trailer is where the magic happens in their huge offset and rotisserie smokers. The guys working have no issues if you want to take a closer look. Right before they opened up shop, they came around with a huge tray of brisket to sample. This got me even more excited to try the food. The staff working here were super friendly like at almost every other BBQ spot we have visited. Between everyone in our group, I think we did a pretty good job of getting almost everything on the menu minus the sandwiches or specialty items like loaded mac or brisket quesadillas. Four of us decided to go with their 'Lil Bit of Everythang!' platter which serves 5-7 people. Well it fed four of us very comfortably with leftovers to take home. This platter literally came with almost everything. We got 1/2 a pound each of brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, pork belly burnt ends, and a chicken half, plus 2 links of sausage, and 1 link of boudin and 4 sides. They give you a number and wait patiently. Your only options to eat are taking your food to go or set up shop on one of their few picnic tables. No sitting until you eat and I noticed people respect that rule and it does allow for everyone to eat comfortably. I really liked everything we tried. The brisket was tender and it had a nice bark on it which had just the right amount of seasoning. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The pork belly burnt ends were phenomenal and one of my favorite bites. I don't know what they glazed with, but it delicious. It had a sweet and savory taste to it. Chicken is something I usually skip on, but since it was on the platter I got to try it. It was good. It was nice and juicy and full of flavor. One thing I really judge a place on is their sausage. Rosemeyer does it right! I loved the sausage here. It was packed nice and tight and had a great snap to it. We tried both the mild and jalapeno cheese and both were good. The boudin was also very good. Comparable to some of the stuff I've tried in Louisiana. They have six side offerings of which we got 5. We tried charro beans, dill potato salad, mac & cheese, and two unique items like fideo and mama's green gumbo. I personally loved all their sides. I would get all of them again. The one everyone in our group was iffy about was the green gumbo. It was full of beans which threw everyone off, but I loved the flavor profile of this. I would come back for a tub of that and put it over some rice and call it a meal. To finish off the feast, I had to get the bread pudding. If it's on a menu, odds are I am going to get it. I am so glad we did because the bread pudding here was out of this world good. Probably one of the better bread puddings I have ever had. It came out warm and maintained it's heat. They also added these tasty candied pecans that was a perfect compliment to the custardy bread concoction. A scoop of vanilla ice cream would have been gold on top. Speaking of ice cream, they are supposed to have some amazing homemade ice cream here and the flavors rotate. How many BBQ dudes do you know that do that? We were full, but I will try it next time. Overall, Rosemeyer has moved to my top 5. This place was so so good. It's far from where I live but still very drivable when the craving hits. I will most definitely be back.

However, from the lackluster flavors, poor marbling of the beat, and lack of air conditioning in HOUSTON, I was left feeling quite disappointed. The main star of any Barbecue joint should be the meats that have been meticulously worked on for many hours. When the star of the show are the sides, you have a problem. The baked beans, mac and cheese, collared greens, and Brussels sprouts are delicious, as expected. The brisket was absolutely dried to the point where I couldn't tell if I was wiping my mouth with a napkin or the brisket. Yes, I ordered it fatty. The ribs were terribly marbled. If one bite was a dry portion of the rib, the other bite was an entire glob of fat. Perhaps that's how ribs are sometimes, but my experiences with many other Barbecue joints in Houston were not so much that.
