I do my laundry here occasionally & today was not my lucky day. I don't mean to be an a-hole & I support local businesses. But,... today was straight-up ridiculous. I thought I'd be in & out in an hour to enjoy this actual sunny day in the Richmond. Nope. It took a few hours.
So, the large washer I used did not have an out of service sign on it because it fell under a cart next to another broken washer. That's my bad & I take responsibility.
1st wash: noticed my clothes were sopping wet as I took them out of the washer. With what initially looked like animal hair. I immediately called the number they provided. Aaron picked up (impressive) & was at his laundromat in like 10 min. Impressed again! Yes he was very nice, paid for my 2nd wash in a working washer & some quarters for the dryer. Mopped up the wet floor himself. I was not rude at all & had to reframe the situation because no one died.
Despite the great customer service, the laundromat doesn't really provide it with 6 broken washers (on a weekend!). I had to heavily shake & pick what I think was coarse rug hair off each piece of "clean" clothing. It was pretty gross & extremely time-consuming. Look it's not the owner's fault that an inconsiderate patron clogged the washer with some kind of hairy floor mat that should not go inside a washer.
However, like many of my neighbors, we live in old
apartment buildings without a washer & dryer. We work hard during the week & depend on laundromats that have working washers. Maybe it takes a lot to schedule & pay a repair person to come!? I don't know?
I won't be back here cuz there's SO many other laundromats in the area (that I'll have to inconveniently drive to.) My Asian Karen review is just my opinion. Neighbors will keep coming here due to proximity. So, no money loss here! Good luck on your Russian roulette experience! ;) read more
