    Ceviche Mixto
    Kara D.

I'll jump right in with saying: 33 Kitchen at Time Out Market served me some of the best ceviche I've ever had. I ordered the Ceviche Mixto with a super friendly employee, and it came up fast (but not like, too fast) and looking stunning. There were huge chunks of white fish, octopus, and shrimp, surrounded by colorful swirls and textures of different garnishes. Eating with the eyes first is a thing! And it tasted as good as it looked. All of the seafood in it tasted fresh, meaty, and tender. Seriously, I could not believe how tender the octopus and shrimp were. The sauce was so divinely bright, citrusy, savory, and a little herbal. Definitely eat this with a spoon as to not let a drop go to waste. At first I thought $22 (including 18% tip) was a little pricey, but the quality was impeccable and the serving was large. I couldn't even finish it all myself, even though I damn well tried! So 5 stars for hitting all the marks: value, service, quality, quantity!

WARNING! Check the total before paying. I thought the total seemed a bit much (23 dollars total for an 18 dollar ceviche), but assumed it may have been due to a higher Miami tax-- especially since they did not turn the screen for me to click a tip amount. However, when I checked my receipt, I noticed that there were an extra three dollars marked down to gratuity-- when I did not even have a chance to leave a tip. After calculating the receipt, I found that it was a 20% tip added on. Regardless of the quality of food, it's horrible business to add tips by yourself and just hope that the customer does not notice. Will not be returning.

This is not your average food court. It's hip, trendy, dark, and loud. Very loud. If you want some peace and quiet while eating or want to hear others speaking, take your food outside. There's a decent amount of choices, including a vegan place. We ordered two dishes from 33 Kitchen, although in hindsight I wish we ordered one dish here and one dish elsewhere for variety. Anyway, we ordered a shrimp dish and a ceviche. The shrimp dish was almost an appetizer, but it was very good. I could tell both items were high quality. The ceviche was also good and generous with the fish, but it should have had less fish and some other seafood mixed in like shrimp and calamari. The sauce was a tad too citrusy, and the corn nuts were too hard. Despite the high quality of this item, I actually liked the ceviche at Poke & Ko a little better.

Churrasco Saltado. Not sliced. No knife given in takeout bag.

The food here is good but the service is horrible. First off, I ordered a Churassco Saltado for takeout and saw that there was $3.59 tip added after receiving the receipt. I thought that was odd because I'm not receiving any service but I asked and the employee said it was mandatory so I just accepted it. But I just still don't get it. What am I tipping for when I got take out?? Also, when I received my meal it was not in take out containers and was instead plated. Is this why I got charged a tip?? They thought I was eating in?? So frustrating. Second, once the employee transferred my food into take out containers I almost left but checked the bag and lo and behold I had no utensils. So I asked for them and after looking around he said he didn't have any. How is this an acceptable answer? How am I supposed to eat my food then? So I had to go to the extent of asking him to go to a neighboring restaurant to obtain some. I got a fork. No knife. I thought whatever.. I guess I just won't cut anything. I take my food and sit down to eat it only to find out my steak was not even sliced! The amount of obstacles and bumps I had to run into with this restaurant makes me so irritated! And after going through all of that.. remember... I paid $3.59 tip on takeout...

The decor is a little wild LOL. Some of the art gave us a chuckle but it's all the restaurant owner My husband had the Ceviche Da Vinci which was a lot smaller in portion and when asking what other leche de Tigre flavors it included per the discription, he was told it's all the same flavor. Kind of disappointed and recommend getting to share or if you're not that hungry. I got the ceviche Misterioso y Abusivo with the fresh catch and additional mixed seafood. Man was it a lot of fish! lol. For our two ceviches a Pepsi max and an iced tea, we paid $75.

Instead, our server stood there and watched us struggle to box up our own food to go. Not even a little help. And our water was never refilled. Now, the food... The ceviches were all pretty similar, with the exception of the coconut one. They were tangy, citrusy, and good, but every single one was begging for some spice. If you're ordering ceviche, I'd skip the mixed seafood and stick with the fish-only options. The red snapper was easily my favorite dish of the night. Deboned, fried to perfection, and presented beautifully. My sparkling wine paired perfectly with it. The salmon sashimi was also delightful. Overall, come for the classic ceviche and the fried fish. Those are the standouts. Just don't expect your 20% gratuity to include help boxing up your leftovers.

The mix of Japanese with Peruvian flavors was jaw dropping. We had 4 dishes and we loved each of them (and this is rare!). The salmon poke with the typical Peruvian sauce was stunning. The ceviche was our favorite bite. How do I even describe it?! It was some of the best Peruvian ceviche we've had and we are from Southern California and they have some pretty good Peruvian restaurants (not the best but good enough). The salmon heaven roll had a lovely smokiness or char flavor from torching the salmon. It paired well with the light sweetness of the miso sauce. Our only complaint was the spicy tuna roll had too much spicy mayo. We aren't huge Mayo fans but we know this isn't typical. People usually love the mayo sauces on sushi but we don't. It definitely was spicy unlike some places that say spicy but you can't even feel the heat. It's a super casual vibe so it feels like home becuase you can come right after the beach and feel right at home. Our server was super nice and friendly. We will DEFINITELY will be coming back!!

I ahf been to others and loves the food. My server was nice and cheery. I ordered several items off happy hour. Actually everything was on Happy Hour except the Miami roll. The Miami roll was the best item I ate. It had delicious flavor. Just perfect and fresh. The ceviche did not have a ton of time juice on it even though I asked for extra originally. My server did not come around too much because she had a pot of tables. The tuna tacos were disappointing. The fish did not seem fresh. This also seems overpriced at $10 on Happy Hour for these two tacos. The margarita I had was pretty good. The Spacedust beer was tasty. I do think this restaurant is a great value at Happy Hour. I recceived a lot of food and some nice drinks at a fair price. They include an 18% tip.

The portion was more than generous but it just looked so juicy and delicious. Anyways, I have the bistec a lo pobre and this too was mouth watering, savory and yummy. That tacu tacu is the best I've had in town and that's a lot coming from me. The steak was perfection as well. The sweet plantains were definitely made in house, not the frozen ones I hate with a passion. Side sauce was phenomenal. Again, the portions are very generous, enough to put you in food coma. The manager and waitstaff are very welcoming and attentive at all times and the prices are fair.

I ended up finishing the entire dish since I wasn't sharing the other plates with the group. About halfway through, I felt like it needed a little something extra, and our server suggested trying their mashed limo pepper. Fair warning, it's spicy! It added the perfect kick and really elevated the flavors of the dish. Our server was incredibly attentive throughout the meal and made the experience even better.
