Visited this place for dinner! It was a cold night, outdoor seating area is beautiful! I would imagine it to be a busy place on a summer night. For the dinner we opted for vegetarian spring rolls with Ponzu glaze and orange chili dipping sauce. Orange chilli sauce as I remember was in house chef's preparation. Beautiful blend of orange zest with sweet chilli sauce. I couldn't get the secret recipe, so probably would visit again to tickle my taste buds. I took my husband out to our first dine in meal since Covid to celebrate his birthday and this restaurant did not disappoint! The servers were all super friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. The management is always visible and looking to ensure their guests are happy! The food is AMAZING! We ordered the Thai Chicken Skewers (to die for), the nachos (YUM), a pork taco special ( do yourself a favor and get it if they have it), and the steak tips (delicious!). For dessert, we had the flourless chocolate cake and the watermelon and lemon sorbet which were both heavenly! We can't wait to frequent this restaurant this summer and beyond! read more

I am often in Franklin visiting my Dad these days, so finding another decent restaurant is exciting. I had a pulled pork sandwich; my sister had the special, which was chicken pot pie. I've been here a few times. Food is always good. I recently went for their 1/2 price apps/$1 oyster happy hour. My friend went to order 3 appetizers and the waitress said that there was a limit to one app per person...they advertise on their website 1/2 price apps 4-6 pm...doesn't say anything about a limit. ? The waitress then said we could get two apps each but not more. ???not the waitress's fault, she's just doing what she's told by management/owners. Please advertise/disclose on your website that there is a one app limit for happy hour and see how many people come in. I think they are purposefully not advertising that there is a one app limit to get people in... The old bait and switch and it's misleading/false advertising. The oysters were excellent except one that tasted funny and the waitress brought me a new one. She was pretty accommodating given the restaurant's policy. So again, waitress was great but there shouldn't be a 1/2 price app limit when it's advertised as 1/2 price apps. read more

Though it's 3 it really deserves more than 3 (stars). Yup, 4 stars. This has a beautiful interior (modern), accommodating service staff and great food. I came here for a special event for my sister. The private dining rooms were wonderful. It's a nice large space that has its own bar and restrooms, so there is no disruption from the regular restaurant traffic. The menu chosen for the event was delicious and fresh. In addition to the food, the chef makes these amazing oatmeal cookies with golden raisins. Those cookies are to die for...chewy and toffee like. I'd come back for these cookies!!!! This is a great location and there is plenty of parking for the large crowds. I think it is one of the nicest restaurants in Franklin. read more

Went to 3 based on the recommendation of our hotel clerk. The restaurant is huge and noisy, but seems to be a fun hang out. The menu is well balanced and focused, service was attentive and friendly, and there was a strong selection of good draft beer choices. The presentation of the food was top notch, the tuna tartare in particular was so attractive I was reluctant to dive in. I started with the tuna tartare, which was a salad of tomato and avocado topped with tuna in a smoky sweet dressing. I followed it up with the fish tacos - mahi mahi pieces with a spicy rub on tortillas with a slaw and a creamy cilantro dressing. The meal hit the spot and looked great too. We were in Franklin for the first time in a while and decided to get takeout from 3. We've always been fans, but tonight they exceeded our high expectations. The Butternut Squash Ravioli was exceptional . The Zinfandel Braised Short Rib was even better. Just came in today for a business lunch. It was relatively busy, which was surprising to me. My party was about 6 people. I ordered the steak tips with the fries and a Mayflower IPA beer. From the time I ordered my drink it was probably about 20 minutes before the waitress came back with it. I thought that was a pretty long time to wait to get a single drink. The steak tips arrived and were just as I ordered perfect. Nice place with plenty of seating and a nice bar. My only complaint was the service was slow. We were seated near the kitchen in out door. We watched at least 4 servers, kick and otherwise ignore ice cubes on the floor (safety issue). Our waitress came and took our drink order. She delivered and poured the drinks into the wrong glasses that were garnished, we swapped them ourselves. We ordered the seasonal salad, but the house salad was delivered. When we called Meghan to let her know, she nearly argued with us. My sister had to point to the contents of the salad on the menu for her to believe us. It was replaced, sharable for two. Table next to us were given bread, not us. Buffalo cauliflower appetizer was awesome. The seared halibut special was delicious & pretty but sparse (small for the money), a swipe of pea puree. Stuffed veal cutlet & braised short ribs were superb. We were here for an early Mom's day treat and were underwhelmed. read more

Went here for lunch with coworkers. It was okay. Atmosphere was nice, waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. Food - eh! The vegan options had nothing of substance to them. I had the veggie bowl because it looked the most filling. The sauce on it had a chemical taste and I left hungry - even thou I ate the whole thing. My coworkers had an array of other items from steak tips, ravioli and chicken skewers. None we overly impressed. If someone wanted to go there again- I wouldn't say no. From our first contact regarding a bridal shower through the final clean up the staff at 3 was exceptional! We couldn't have had better service!! Emails and phone calls were answered within a day, often within an hour. The room was well cared for and ready for us when we arrived! The food was absolutely delicious! First time visiting 3 in Franklin. This was a pleasant surprise as the service and food was very good. The beer and wine selection was very deep. I had their Notch IPA which was great. A new IPA for myself. For the meals we share the scallop risotto and the spicy fish tacos. Both were really good. We will definitely be back here. One note is that the prices are fairly steep for Franklin, MA but worth it. read more

Been here regularly since they first opened, one of the few interesting places to eat in an area that is depressingly mundane, culinary wise. Definitely worth a try if you're trying to escape the wretched grasp of chain restaurants that plagues the surrounding towns. Interior is plenty spacious, with a sleek modern ambiance comparative to something you would find closer to Boston. Bar is decently stocked with plenty of options in all formats, a very much need fresh breath of air returns to you a sense of choice. In the beginning, it felt like with every visit, there was a different menu, constant new specials as they tested the waters of the suburban area. I very much enjoy the creative fusion attempt in many of their dishes, and new twists on old favorites. The menu has stabilized in recent visits though, new things added and taken out less frequently. Personally never had a problem with the service here, always friendly and attentive waiters. In regards to the menu, I wouldn't call it pricey like some others that have reviewed the place, I believe it to be average, comparative to other modern New American restaurants like Yard House for example. But if you're a regular diner and on a first name basis with the waiters/bartenders of the local 99, Chili, or Uno, yeah this place can be considered "pricey". read more

Great food. Excellent service. My husband and I stopped in around 530 on a Saturday night without a reservation. They seated us right away. For appetizers he had the garden salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing. He enjoyed it quite a bit although would have liked more dressing. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls and we ended up sharing them. They were delicious. They were extremely crispy and cane with two sauces. One was the standard sweet sauce and the other was a soy sauce-based. For the entree I chose the fall harvest salad with no cheese since I'm vegan. It was scrumptious. My husband had steak tips, mashed potatoes and green beans. He loved it, including the sauce. His only disappointment is that the portions were on the smaller side. I think if he ordered an extra side dish or appetizer he would have been more content with the quantity of food. We are from out of town but will be back next time we are in the neighborhood. We had stopped into 3 Restaurant after spending the day house hunting, we had made an offer on a house down the street and decided to stop in for a quick dinner. The first thought I had when we stepped inside was that it didn't smell like anything, which struck me as a bit off but based on the reviews and on everything else that was remotely close to where we were we decided to stay and give it a chance. Everything was good but nothing really stood out, the service was good, food was good, but nothing was great. It was really just an average dinner with above average price tags.
