I came here on a whim and arrived to a small line but crowded cafe. They had their menus high up on the walls with traditional coffee beverages, tea, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and a yogurt menu. I was sad to not see any specialty coffee/lattes. Although, the iced coffee and cold brew were good. The breakfast sandwich was the star of the show though, the Egg & Feta sandwich was perfectly balanced with greens, feta, fluffy egg and delicious bread. I was happy to see they had a few tables outside because inside was crowded and I was there alone and didn't want to take up an entire indoor table.
A good neighborhood coffee shop with a variety of coffee and tea drinks, pastries, and sandwiches. The chocolate zucchini cake was excellent - super moist and rich in flavor. The pepper biscuit breakfast sandwich was good, though a little under seasoned for me. The chia pudding was also good, but a little over-sweet. Service was fast and friendly. Overall, would recommend as a solid local option for a casual breakfast or lunch.

The vibes were great and the staff were really nice. The sandwiches were loved by all. There were options for everyone and tons of gluten free things. We followed it up with a little walk on the Somerville community path, and once we worked up an appetite, we had a crazy idea to go back for pastries and another drink! The iced matcha with soy milk was perfect on a hot day. If we can go twice in one morning, then it's a given that we will be back for more.
Stopped by for a smoothie and some sandwiches to go and really enjoyed everything! Vibe: Small cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, note that there is additional indoor seating if you go back towards the kitchen and over. Service: Fairly quick while they were pretty busy Food: Pepper biscuit breakfast sandwich - was a small but dense and delicious breakfast. Market sandwich - delicious balance of ingredients, solid portion Chocolate shake - this was SO yummy and you wouldn't even know it had sweet potato in it! Value: Prices were good for the quality and quantity of food. Overall I loved everything I got and would definitely recommend and return again!
Cute little brunch spot! They are very busy and the space is small, so smaller groups are preferable. Really enjoyed their lemon cake - it was moist with a strong kick of lemon zest. The market sandwich's fig jam was a nice sweet contrast to the salty prosciutto. I only wish the bread wasn't cold and there was less goat cheese. Matcha lattes were pretty average. Staff were nice. The line moved quick and they were helpful with their recommendations.
Such a great spot!! Coffee is always perfect and all the baked goods are soo tasty! My favourite is the strawberry jam bar! Today I got a cortado and the pepper biscuit with cheese and egg! The sandwich was very tasty!
3 Little Figs is a cute cafe! It was super busy when I stopped in, but the line moved quickly. The staff is really nice too. I got the pepper biscuit, which was good but pretty average, and in my opinion not worth $8.00.
There has always been a long line out the door here when we've walked by on weekends, and our visit was no different. Luckily, the line moved pretty fast, and we also got our food pretty quickly after. We originally wanted to dine in, but it was so crowded inside from the constant flow of people ordering and waiting near the counter that we decided to take out instead. "The market" sandwich (prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula, and fig jam on focaccia) was a perfect mix of sweet and salty flavors and a great portion size for just $11. The egg and feta breakfast sandwich (scrambled eggs, tomato, arugula, and feta on a brioche bun) was a lot smaller and less unique in flavors, but also good value at $7. I would come back for the market sandwich again and order ahead online for pickup!
Saturday morning was definitely a busy time to go, but we loved our experience here!! We came at the recommendation of multiple friends (one of which claimed this place houses the best barista-- EVER) This isn't a huge space, but they have a no computer rule, meaning people aren't lingering for forever which is nice! Sandwiches were yummy (excellent pepper biscuit) and the lavender biscuit was standout!! The black drip coffee had a fruity end note, but great complex flavor. The cortado, made to perfection, and the cold brew was nice as well! Pricing was reasonable for the area! All in all, we will be back!
Super cute spot! Entering, it smells like freshly-ground coffee. Hard to find a seat on the weekend because it's so good. Even a simple toast is next-level tasty here.
Absolutely deserving of the Best Cafe in Somerville title! The line can be daunting but the staff work hard to keep it flowing and delivery high quality food and drinks! I doubt I'll ever be disappointed on any future visits. Food: The drinks were very refreshing and a great wake up jolt of caffeine. I was intrigued by the espresso soda and I was not disappointed. It was such a nice blend of fruity flavors that slide perfectly into a familiar coffee taste. The sweet ricotta toast and the egg cheddar sandwich were amazing! The sourdough and ciabatta were the stars and their great bready textures made for perfect vehicles. Service: The staff worked like a well oiled machine but still offered great hospitality! Atmosphere: The popularity does cause the cafe to be busy but everyone was very respectful of one another's space so it wasn't an overwhelming crowd. The decorations also added to the energetic atmosphere.
Amazing sandwiches with fresh made breads. I got the market sandwich and swapped out the prosciutto for turkey. I love the flavor combination of everything and it was a perfect ratio of filling to bread. Amazing portions especially for the price. Would definitely recommend!

I get my coffee here 4 times per week. My top choices the classic cappuccino, greek yogurt with berries and granola, BLT with caramelized bacon and lastly the olive oil cake. The line moves fasted, and the staff is amazing. read more
So my friend recommended this place to me for brunch and I was really glad she did!! Although this place is small and parking is hard to find, the marketplace sandwich was by far the best sandwich I have ever had in my life LOL. The sweetness of the cheese and the fig sauce with the prosciutto was just the right pairing, and it was definitely worth every cent ($9). The honey matcha latte as well wasn't too sweet and it was honestly the right amount of matcha (just a little bit too lukewarm for me, wish it was a little bit hotter haha, same with the restaurant, it's a bit cold there too so make sure you bundle up!). Anyways, definitely a MUST for brunch or even lunch, won't let you down! read more
I stumbled upon this place on Saturday morning and I needed something to help my hangover. I ordered the pepper biscuit egg and cheese. It was delicious. It was piping hot when it came out and they have a great ordering system for covid! Very well done-- glad I got to try this local Somerville spot! read more
Gotta love the agility and responsiveness of tiny shoppes! Icing on the blueberry scone? Replaced with clear sanding sugar, letting the berries shine. Perfect. Cinnamon sugar donut muffin? Knock a month or two off the life span. This identity crisis is dense and addictive. And need I repeat the majesty of the strawberry rhubarb cake? Just did. All three out the door for eight bones. I take the 88 bus every day to work, which passes right by 3LF, and I resolved one day to go check it out. I'm a sucker for local coffee shops. I'd read that it often gets crowded on weekends, but it was a rainy Sunday morning, so I brought my book in the hopes that I'd be able to sit and enjoy my coffee while reading inside. Even at 10:30 AM in the rain, there was a line inside. Which means the place is good! But also that there was slim chance I'd be able to have a relaxing morning reading in a coffee shop. All the food options on the chalkboard menu sound intriguing, but I was in a baked goods mood, so I ordered a Dirty Chai Muffin and a Latte with Almond Milk. For here or to go? "Uh... (looks around at the crowded space, really doesn't want to go back out in the rain) For here." I'm handed the muffin and find myself seat-less. But I've already committed to a mug of latte, so I ask a woman sitting my herself at a 2-person table if I can share. Her friend is coming, but I can sit in the meantime. I unwrap my baked good and have to grab a fork since there seems to be no easy way to bite into this mound of muffin. Upon the first forkfull, I realize that these Figgies sure know how to work an oven. The cinnamon-spiced muffin was just the right texture, fluffy yet not too airy or crumbly. The espresso glaze on top (thus the "dirty" in the name) adds a sweetly unique twist. My latte comes out about 5 minutes later. It's in a large mug with foam art gracing the surface. This is why local coffee shops are the best. The coffee is dang good, well-balanced. And strong. I'm buzzing for the entire rest of the day. I really, really wish they were somehow able to have an environment in which people could relax and spend a good amount of time inside. Especially since it was raining and the outdoor seating couldn't be utilized, only around 15 people can be seated inside at one time. I felt rushed, especially since I was a squatter at someone else's table, and my book went unread. There were lots of people standing around - in the line, waiting to pick up their orders, on the prowl for seating - which stressed me out a bit. The food and drink I had were superb though (albeit a bit pricey at $7), so next time I'll try to venture over earlier or on a weekday to try to avoid the stress. read more

OMG lavender biscuits are a must! They are decent sized pastry, light crisp on the outside and perfectly fluffed inside with hints of lavender. The icing and almond slivers on the top are just the extra cherry on top. Everything about the lavender biscuit is perfect with just the right sweetness. I have also tried a few of their sandwiches and I have never been disappointed. Always fresh with good quality ingredients. Love Love Love this cute, little coffee shop. There is limited seating inside, but people are usually pretty friendly and open to sharing a table with you. :] read more
The wonder of 3 Little Figs makes me so sad I don't live in Boston. I dream of the market sandwich- prosciutto, VT goat cheese, fig jam, arugula, tomato, herbs, olive oil on rustic francese. Just get it and report back. I've had the egg & feta sandwich (good, but it's no market sandwich) and various pastries (good, but it's no market sandwich). Get the market sandwich- it's a hit flavor-wise, texturally,... but I trust that whatever decision you make, you'll like 3 Little Figs. Literally everything on the menu looks (and has been) unbelievably delicious. To top it off, service is pleasant and quick. read more

After passing by this place for the last 4 years and asking myself why the hell do people wait for long time, I decided to give it a shot on an early Sunday morning. I just ordered a cappuccino and a green tea cake. The coffee was so great and reminded me of a nice French coffee! I was really pleasantly surprised and the green tea was so tasty and juicy! I am eager to try more coffee there! read more

I'm so glad I came in to grab a bite for me and my family! My Market Sandwich was one of the highlights of my trip in Boston. Hubs' Pepper Biscuit Sandwich was fresh and tasty, but the sausage may have been overdone. My tot practically drank all of our Banana Almond Shake with almond milk in one shot because it was THAT good. read more

We had the most picturesque and movie-worthy mini date in between work and errands. I absolutely recommend getting lost in wonderful conversations and/or a good book here. My husband loved their food, which is simple, yet well-balanced and fresh. I didn't leave a bite of my Lox on toast sandwich leftover! Enjoy! read more

This cute cafe makes me wish that I lived around Somerville so I can come by every morning and afternoon to get coffee and do my work. I was around the area and had some time to kill so decided to get a quick meal : almond milk latte + habanero quinoa bowl (not quite sure what the actual name is) Their coffee is more on the acidic tasting side rather than dark and bitter which I don't mind, but it is pretty strong which I like! The bowl was also delicious and quite filling!! The only thing I wish they'd change is the option for either having an egg or mushrooms for the bowl -- why not do both??? :) Definitely will be back for their pastries!! read more

3 Little Figs is a cute cafe that I've been meaning to try out but always missed the opportunities because they only operate from 8 A.M. - 12 P.M. So if you're like me and you're not an early morning bird, then you definitely need to plan out your visit and set alarm clocks. When you arrive at 3 Little Figs, there is a check in window where you can order and they make your order really quick! I only had to wait about 5 minutes for my matcha latte & Chia pudding even though there was a line of folks waiting for their order. Regarding the actual food and drink, the Matcha Latte has less of the latte and more matcha taste, which I prefer. But if you don't like traditional matcha tea then you might need to request for more milk. The Chia Pudding looked to me the most unique dish they have on their menu, which includes pudding, dragon fruits, pistachio, almonds, and raisins (I think?). I didn't know what to expect with a dragonfruit pudding but it was a delicious blend of dragon fruit and nuts. Nothing particularly is too overpowering and tastes healthy! I would definitely like to come by and try the rest of their menu! read more

Solid place to get some breakfast. The food was enjoyable but the portion sizes were a little small. Highly recommend the matcha latte- it tastes slightly sweetened by honey. The cafe is small so there's not much sitting room. read more
Great baked goods, snacks and coffee! The inside space is small, but during the summer, 3 Little Figs offers seating outside - perfect for people watching and getting some sun! Everything on their food menu is delicious - I recommend the egg&feta sandwich - the egg is is fluffy and the feta gives it a zing to taste. The bread is so gooddd and even the three side cucumbers are crunchy and well seasoned. I've also had the Village - which is roasted sweet potatotes and arugula is a little different from your normal sandwiches! The sweet potato is more on the crunchy side and the honey gives it a sweet taste. Not only is the matcha latte pretty to look at, but it is also delicious - not too sweet or creamy. Great place to brunch with one or two other people. No public wifi on the weekends! read more

Man, I wish we had this place in NYC. Excellent sandwiches and pastries and coffee. I ordered the market sandwich, which has goat cheese with prosciutto, fig jam, and arugula, and I don't know how something so classic and simple was perfection. The Greek yogurt was also among the best I've had -- super thick and creamy. I had to share it with my husband! I've heard good things about the apple cider donut. Will have to get that next time I'm in town! read more
/BOTTOM LINE: Words truly cannot express how much I love this place. We come here every weekend for their coffee and pastries -- enough for the staff to know our exact orders (because we're obsessive creatures of 3LF habit and order the same thing almost every time) and for me to wake up on Saturdays and yell "IT'S COCOA ZUCCHINI CAKE DAY!". /FAVORITES: Cocoa zucchini cake - dairy free, so moist, and full of chocolate chips and walnuts. My favorite, hands down. Lavender biscuit - his favorite. Comes with a ton of glaze on top, and also tastes really good with Fomu's lavender ice cream (hint). Sweet potato cake - dense, but also moist. I love the glaze on top and I've never managed to eat this thing is one sitting. It's the perfect balance of sweet without being overly so. Market sandwich - they are *so* generous with their prosciutto and the bread is the perfect crispy *and* soft. /THE SPACE/SERVICE: Anything that needs warming up/preparation takes a while to come out, so if you're in a rush...come here anyway just plan ahead. There are always seasonal specials and special coffees on the side board. There's usually a line out the door by 9am on weekends, but they're really fast. Don't bank on finding a table, though. They don't allow laptop campers on weekends, but you can do so on weekdays. 3 Little Figs also boasts the friendliest baristas in town. The cute name alone is a reason to come here but it's the simple, creative food that will keep you coming back. Fair warning, it's pretty busy on the weekends but service is quick and tables empty out so it's worth getting in line. You can also sit down in Health Club, a smoothie bar, which is part of the same business & located next door. Simplicity is the name of the game here, and with so few ingredients they have to be top notch and the execution perfect. The pepper biscuit with egg, bacon and cheese is divine, as is the pure & simple Feta & Olive Toast. There are about eight regular sandwiches on the board and a specials board with rotating selections. They have excellent baristas for superior coffee and tea, the London Fog Latte is particularly good. While you place your order make sure to check out the pastry counter, there is always something new that you just have to try. We keep wanting to branch out & try new breakfast places but every Saturday it's unanimous that we go back to 3 Little Figs. read more

You wouldn't likely pass 3 Little Figs on your daily commute because it's "out there" deep in Somerville but it is 100% worth the trek. Alongside Broadsheet, this is one of my favorite cafes in Boston. The place is adorable and makes you want to sit and drink a coffee all day (and I don't even drink coffee!). We came for a late lunch around 3:15 PM and got a bunch of things to share: The Market Sandwich: Goat cheese and fig jam. I would eat that alone. But then prosciutto and fresh tomatoes were added. Sign me up! Greek Salad - Beautiful and fresh tasting but nothing you can't make at home. The Big Fig Cookie - Holy Schnikeys. The perfect combination of chewy and crunchy filled with chocolate chips and pumpkin seeds. I could eat these all day. Apple Cider Muffin - a great concept but I didn't love how coated in sugar it was. I would have loved a bit more apple cider flavor. I also love that this place asks for no computers to be used on weekends. They really want people to sit and talk here. read more

We got to know 3 Little Figs through Yelp and since then it has become our go to breakfast place. They have really good coffee and that was what we were looking for. But once you get there you realize they also have really good food - toasts, sandwiches, baked goods... they also have daily specials! Everything seems to be fresh! Their biscuit is delicious! It comes hot so even better. The setting of the place is really nice too. Pictures of Greece and all the colors of the island. It just feels like you are there! It is very common to have a line and it is always hard to get a table! So come thinking about that - specially if you are in a big group. The pictures are the egg, cheese and bacon in a pepper biscuit and spinach feta prosciutto sandwich. Also latte and iced black tea lemonade (arnold palmer). Everything perfect! read more

"Then I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow this house in!" threatened one very confused wolf as he staked out this tiny, claustrophobic af spot: Seriously. This place bugs the sh*t out of me. It's small and insanely popular, so finding seating is a total nightmare. But man, the baked goods that come out of the kitchen... On a trip to Boston a couple years ago, I fell in love with the cardamom-y Dirty Chai Muffin, not to mention the ridiculously delicious and vegan (!) Chocolate Ginger Bomb Cookies. (Can you tell I love me some warm spices?) At the time, I also recall wishing the famed Lavender Biscuit had offered a bit more floral punch, but enjoying it nonetheless. This time around, I tried an absolutely heavenly Iced Sweet Potato Spice Cake that remained perfectly moist two days after purchasing it. Also enjoyed a flaky Goat Cheese Scone and stocked up on more of my favorite Chocolate Ginger Bomb Cookies, which come in packages of six. Back to that first visit, I remember trying some sort of Breakfast Sandwich that was fine, but utterly forgettable, though the coffee was good. I'd wanted to give the sandwiches another shot on this go-round, but the place was MOBBED. Frustrating to say the least. And yet, the baked goods are such an irresistible hybrid of homey and sophisticated, that I can't give any less than 4 stars. read more
This is a nice little place to grab a quick bite. There's plenty of seating, however, it was difficult to get one on a Sunday afternoon. They have amazing coffee and interesting variations of baked goods. Food-wise, it was extremely disappointing. The baked french toast ($6) was so overwhelmingly sweet, it was difficult to finish. The brunch bowl ($10) was mediocre, and was small in portion. I'm a petite girl and no way was that one bowl any type of a meal, at most a snack. I also had a whole apple cider donut muffin ($3) and left not feeling full. I don't get the hype for this place, but I'd come back for the coffee. read more

OMG! Yummy and as cute as their name. Gluten free options! Baked goods so good. The staff is super nice and cool and hip and pretty. We had: - Lavender Biscuit (yes it really is great) - sweet potato baked with icing (gluten free) cake that was super yummy! - curry biscuit sandwich - spinach pie It was so good that by the time we were taking pictures...... all done. read more
