I called and they were able to send out a driver within 20 minutes. The guy who saved us yesterday was named Mike. I was impressed by how efficiently he worked. Mostly good service, but pretty expensive. The tow truck that my repair shop recommended was busy, so I ended up googling a tow company. The driver was polite, but drove up in an unmarked tow truck and his invoice was hand-written, including the company name. I needed to get my car to the repair shop so I could get on with my day. $15 per mile adds up REALLY quick. he charged for a service call AND hookup. I paid the $350+ bill and moved on. after the tow was done, I made 1 call to see if I could get pricing from another company and was quoted $200 + tax. read more

Our car unexpectedly stalled. We were charged $414.00 from Manoa to Waipahu. We had no idea we were being overcharged. My husband is disabled with Parkinson's. They really seemed like they wanted to help us. One sensed my distress and kindly said "I want to help you". But my friend, who referred me to this website, says we were grossly overcharged. And from the reviews here, it appears we were. It sickens me because two previous tow companies refused us since we were too far away. We were in a bind, the weather was miserable, and we needed to get home since my husband had to take his meds. We were referred to this company by a Kapolei company who said they could not help us, since we were too far away. This tow company took good care of our car and were so nice to us. I called the company n asked for a quote they said estimated $60 to jump start my van. I was honestly desperate! I had my three kids with me ages 3, 2, and 7mo. It was hot and they were sweating/ tired. The guy FINALLY came (took him over an hour)! I asked how much to jumpstart my van. He said $200!!!! WTF!!!! I said no that's too much the lady said it starts at $60 and he said oh since there's a miscommunication I'll only charge you $100. I told him that's still too much. He just turned around and left. I was beyond frustrated. I ended up calling AAA, they charge me $70, came and helped me get home safely. read more

This company takes advantage of the fact that once they get there you will likely not want to call another towing service since you're already in a bind. Worst Tow Company in Hawaii. If I could give them ZERO stars I would. DO NOT request or ask for their service. They WILL do their absolute best to rip you off. I gave them a call because I got a flat tire, and I needed help getting the wheel off cause it was stuck. I was able to lift and remove the bolts off MYSELF. The only problem I had was getting the wheel off to put my spare tire on, but my friend ended up getting it off by the time the tow truck driver arrived. Basically we completed the task ourselves as he arrived and watched on the side. Oh, he did do ONE thing for me... he worked really hard by giving me a little bit of air for my tire! After 2 minutes of his work (didn't even fill the air completely because his machine was broken) he went to his truck and came back with a slip with handwritten services and charges for the service "TIRE CHANGE - $140 SERVICE FEE/TAX - $30". I then laughed and shoved the slip of paper back to him and demanded he call his boss or even the police. SCAMMERS!! Just to let you guys know, I did NOT pay the $170 service charge he made up. I gave him $100 out of pity, but I didn't have to. I could've got the cops involved. DO NOT let them take advantage of you or hustle you out of your hard earned dollars. Horrible service. $275 for a 5 mile tow?! The operator would not give us a direct quote, and kept telling us the driver will give us the quote. Driver gets here and tells us we get the quote AFTER the tow? The driver took forever to hook up the car, didn't know how to get to the destination. Doesn't really look like he knew what he was doing to be honest. When he dropped off the car, we reversed way too far and bent my exhaust and damaged my bumper. I demanded for a discount for the tow, and the best they could do was $250. This towing company is a joke. read more

Locked my keys in the trunk of my rental car. Called 24 hour island towing for a lockout quote and the lady on the phone said "$65". Great, said a guy was in the area. The guy took an hour to get to us. When he arrived he let us know it will cost $207 to unlock a basic standard car. WHICH TOOK HIM 2 seconds to unlock. He showed us that the standard rate is $150 for a lockout and showed us multiple receipts. So why we're we quoted "$65" on the phone, when there is a standard rate for lock out? Scam. Scam. Scam. If I could leave negative stars I would. Call someone else for a lock out/tow service. read more

Nightmare from the start! The website lists them as having a BBB rating of A+--- which is completely false. They actually have a rating of C- I emailed them over the weekend to set up a tow for my car today- they responded back that they could do the job, but never even asked for the address or contacted me further. I called them the night before to confirm and had the tow set up for noon- they said they would meet us at the gate to sponsor them on at 1130. My husband had our only working vehicle, so he squared it away to meet them at 11:30. They called at 11, and he missed the call because he was still at work. So when he called them 15 minutes later, still 15 minutes before we were supposed to meet, they had taken another job. Said they would be able to meet at noon. At noon, my husband waited at the gate and they finally showed up at 1:30. Then, they charged a $40 service call fee, a $150 tow fee and a $17 per mile fee, so our total for less than a 5 mile tow was $311. Which seems exorbitant, so I called their office to confirm and they wouldn't even give me the rates. PLEASE LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE! THE WORST TOW COMPANY ON THE ISLAND!!! I wish I could give them 0 stars. My dad was ripped off! They overcharge for the hookup fee plus you get a charge for service call. My dad got his car towed and they quoted him at a $150 hookup fee which is $105 more than what a Ali'I Tow company charges plus a $45 service call, and at $8 a mile he was charged $152 more! First, the driver arrived in an old unmarked truck. When he got to the mechanic he found out he was severely overcharged AND the driver backed his car into the curb which damaged the hubcap. The driver did refund my dad the amount that a new hubcap would have cost, but only after the mechanic argued with him and called the parts department for a quote on a new hubcap. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to get swindled and pay significantly more than you should!!! read more

These guys...... I cant put into words how much the drivers/driver is willing to screw the customer. When I called the first time they said they will send a driver, i asked for an estimate for towing 17mi and the operator said about $150. I waited for an hour and called back wondering what was taking so long. The operator said they would call the driver to find out. The driver calls me back and says there was mis communication. And as consolation he offered to "flat rate" tow me for $250. I told him I was quoted around $150 for 17mi, and it was actually going to be 11. He said that the operator was wrong and $150 is just hookup. Followed by "look do you want the tow or can I get another job?" Which I proceeded to tell him to "kick rocks" and that his "special offer" for responding so late was a crock. I then called O'Sung towing who quoted me $150+ tax and was very speedy. Dont use these guys, they want to take advantage of people in need. No Aloha! read more

I am absolutely infuriated with this company! I was charged $418 to get my car towed 8 miles. The driver told me I could either pay a $399 flat rate plus tax, which turned out to be $418 total, or I could pay a $250 base rate + $15 per mile for 18 total miles (even though it was only 8 miles) for a whopping $520 total. Holy cow! What a sham! And to top things off, the driver was smoking and texting while driving and not watching the road. And then he acted annoyed when he couldn't find a parking spot at the repair shop and was like where do I park it huh huhh?? Jeez, guy, figure it out! I'm not paying you a large chunk of my bank account for nothing. Oh yeah, actually I am. When we finally parked, he needed to fill out the receipt but couldn't find a pen, so I had to sit there awkwardly for several minutes while he shuffled around through all the garbage and cigarette packs in his nasty truck to find one. Then, once the car was unloaded, we noticed that the car wouldn't start. The reason I had my car towed was for broken brakes, but it had been starting perfectly fine before it got towed, and when I told the driver that I thought it was odd that it suddenly wasn't starting, he was just like, "Well, gotta go. Bye!" and skedaddled. The service wasn't even fast. It took the driver an hour and a half to show up. Just try calling and asking how much it will cost to get your car towed from this company and what the flat rate is, and you will get some sleazebag who will be like "uhhh well it depends....this and that... and blah blah blah...." I am absolutely humiliated that I let this sleazy scam of a company steal from me, and I advise everyone to call around, even if you're stuck on the side of the road at night.
