Hang out to the end - this is all background info to set the stage for a fantastic result. We had a disastrous, messy, terrible experience with a project requested by our HOA - they ripped out our shower in our condo to reach the unit below. The tiler that the plumber sent did the WORST job EVER - they only tiled the bottom half of the shower, tiles were crooked, they did not use proper board behind the tile, they put the shower doors back on backwards and let the BIGGEST mess ever - inside and outside of the bathroom and on our front patio where they staged. As this was not our job, we opened a complaint with the HOA who determined that we had definitely been wronged. They hired Marcus and 24HRC to redo the entire job. 100% YES. BEST IDEA EVER. From start to finish, Marcus was on site daily to check on the status of the job. Our bedroom was masked off and the carpet and flooring was completely covered. Elder, Marcus's lead tiler, arrived promptly every day and worked efficiently to see the job to the finish. He asked if we minded if he took a little extra time toward the end because he really wanted it to be perfect. We were absolutely fine with that! The end result is a gorgeous shower and we paid for new doors. There was not a speck of dirt, dust or trash left behind. 24HRC were contracted to come and repair the drywall in my water heater closet on December 18, 2024. By January 31, 2025 they had completely ghosted me with no communication. They left the wall of my water heater closet completely open and did not return to work on it for weeks until the day after I left my initial review. My family, including our five-year-old and a premature infant, were stranded without hot water in the middle of winter. Even after the work was finally completed I had to pressure them to send written documentation to my HOA that the work was completed before they could schedule a plumber to come re-install my water heater. I can't believe this company has put up so many false reviews that it has a decent rating. I have been forced to use this company twice by my HOA. They caused additional damage that resulted in extended time due to the additional damage. They did not pull permits until forced to. I have had restoration on my condo done by reliable companies and so I know how it's supposed to go. 24. HRC was horrible. They actually damage property and unless you've taken a picture of it before they started, they will deny it. Take pictures many many pictures before they set foot on your property. read more

Beware. I had the perfect storm of a water leak on Wednesday 7/3, an angry downstairs neighbor, and an apathetic insurance adjuster. On 7/3 I had 24 Hour HRC come to do estimates to the upstairs and downstairs units. They estimated over $6k for my unit and $7k for the unit downstairs with major demolition of the HVAC closet and adjoining bathroom for both units. I was rattled and panicked and they were eager to have me sign contracts for both units and rushed me through the process. The $6k/$7k did not cover restoration. I had them hook up dehumidifiers and scrubbers over the weekend. On Monday 7/8, when I learned I needed an inspection from the insurance company before starting and that I wasn't liable for the damages to the downstairs, i called to cancel the contracts and talked to Dani. She did not mention that I needed to put it writing. Thank goodness I read my contact and both faxed and emailed my cancellation before the 3-day limit. But it seems shady that she didn't tell me to put it in writing. When my insurance inspector arrived on Tuesday 7/9, he indicated there was no water or mold damage and no demolition needed on my unit. I looked at the readings and could see my walls were dry with no peeling or buckling and no visible mold. An independent restoration company indicated no demolition was needed in my unit. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had in dealing with a business. I live in the bottom unit condo of a three-story complex. I first reported the leak to the HOA and they had me call out a plumber. We used their recommended vendor and he informed us it was a slab leak and to watch it. This went on for 6 months and finally the same vendor did more investigation and discovered it was from a clog in the common line from the laundry drain. The HOA quickly moved to remediate and I saw the estimators and inspectors right away. After being promised it would take up to 2 weeks, three weeks go by and no word. I immediately followed up and they finally mentioned they had found more mold and needed to remediate. I was told only one section of my kitchen needed additional remediation and that cabinet removed. However, upon coming home to check on my unit, my entire kitchen was gutted including my pantry. My kitchen appliances were moved out and my items thrown in trash bags and left in my dining room. I received NO notice of this ahead of time. Upon moving my items, they left terrible scratches on my refrigerator and dented my oven. The tape they used had pulled off the paint. I was finally told they received clearance and sent an estimator to rebuild. I followed up and received no response on when the rebuild will take place. It's been 2 months and due to covid, I had to move back in. Luckily I can use the bathroom and shower, but they left my place a disaster. They're lucky I had family I was able to live with for a month. The lack of communication is incredibly frustrating. I work in property management and this is absolutely not acceptable. Recently, 24 Hour Restoration and Construction worked on replacing a third of of our driveway, our sidewalk up to the stoop, uncovering a backup that had been covered in cement for years, and installing a drain where water accumulated. Butch, the contractor, and his team demonstrated concern, knowledge, and professionalism during the four and a half days it took to complete the project. Unfortunately my HOA contracts with these guys. I live in a condo building. While working on the exterior of my condo building, these guys broke the sprinkler line while digging. This caused water to flood into my home overnight when the sprinklers were set to go off causing extensive damage to my unit. 24 HRC did offer to re do the carpet ceiling and wall that were damaged. When re doing the damages in the unit the work was not up to par with how the unit was before the damages. When the carpet was installed the person that they sent out obviously didn't know how to install carpet and didn't install it correctly (he did not cut it right so ends of carpet were frayed and there were gaps in between carpet and baseboard) I made them re do it so a week later someone else came out to re install carpet they did it a little better with no gaps in carpet but some of the ends were still frayed do to bad cuts. I made them re do it a third time. This time it was ok. When they came to re paint the room the painting work was not done well. The ceiling and walls of my home are different colors. When they painted they did not use painting tape and just tried to do it all by hand. There was ceiling color coming down on the walls and lines were not straight at all. I made them come back and redo it. Because they had to redo unsatisfactory work multiple times it turned a project that should have been a week into a 4 week project and if you forgot from how long this review is the only reason this work was being done in the first place was because of negligence on their part they caused damage to my property. They did their best to make sure our home was completed in a timely manner and made sure they left it as clean as possible. I hate giving bad reviews, seriously! This company starts out great! Had a great experience on the phone with the owner after our toilet connector broke and flooded our downstairs townhome. He is very knowlegable and very courteous. The crew he sent out were nice and did what needed to be done to check for water in the walls (we had already stopped the leak and cleaned up the water) and set up fans and a dehumidifier after taking out baseboards and wet flooring. Then the trouble started....we were told that one of the walls had a suspcious, possible 'growth.' They sealed it off, per the law, and gave us an estimate for 'mold remediation' of approximately $2,800.00. Our home insurance wouldn't pay for it because it looked like 'inactive' mold, we were told, and that would mean it had been there for who knows how long. Maybe 20 years. There's no way to tell. At first, we were willing to go ahead with it, until I asked the foreman if we could have the drywall tested because if it WASN'T mold or harmful mold, we were out $2,800, to which he replied, "It is mold." I wondered if he was psychic since he had not even seen it himself, and also knew that only an accurate test could determine this. I called a company that tests for mold for approx $150 to $300 and thought that was the reasonable thing to do. I was told at that time, that even if it was mold, there is the possibility of it not even being harmful. Since mold remediation is a big business, one that involves scare tactics, I googled mold and learned so much. We took off the tape they had placed over the baseboards and looked at the 'growth,' and it looked like dirt. Certainly not the 'mold' I had seen pictures of online. So we had someone who deals with this all the time look at the drywall, two pieces of approximately 3 inches each, and realized that we could do this ourselves, remove the drywall, and have it checked, but when we did, the 'growth' came right off and looked like dirt. Irregardless, we took out the drywall. When I called the company to tell them this, I also told them that I was so disappointed because no-one educated us on mold, we had to do our own research, and when I had asked for it to be tested, we were shut down. I also indicated that I wanted the owner, who had been so kind to me in the beginning, to know that I was disappointed and please call. I guess, naively, I expected or hoped for a phone call. That never happened. THEN when the fans were picked up by a very nice employee, he was not sure what was going on, but I assured him we still wanted the company to finish our job by giving us an estimate to 'restore' everything! He took measurements and said the company would get back to us for the estimate. It is 3 days later and our home is a mess, no floor, no baseboards, and no word from them. This so sad because this is certainly not a way to run a business, nor do I like to warn people to stay away. I realize that if active mold is growing in a home, you shouldn't take care of it yourself. Also, I know that someone who says they are following the law should educate the homeowner on what they are looking for and why. If they had done so, all of this craziness would never have happened. But still, how you treat your customers should be the number one priority. read more

There was a leak in my garage that caused mold on the wall and they send out the team for remediation and repair. They showed up on time for each visit and received a very friendly curtesy call prior to their arrival. They team that worked on my garage were super nice and helpful and kept me updated on the process and on top of it all when they came out to pick up their machine they swiped my garage and organizer everything back to normal even though they didn't have to. Unfortunately their repair staff needs a lot of help, I requested a quote 2 1/2 weeks ago, and NEVER got it, I called them every other day and was told someone would be out the next day, never came. Talked to Ryan on several occasions he made promises and again nothing. I went with a different company and still 3 weeks later haven't heard from them. Highly questionable business practices with this company!!! I used this company to repair and replace the drywall in a small laundry room. It was a 2 part project and I provided credit card payment information before each part began. The work was completed as planned. I began to receive countless emails about billing and threats for this debt to be sent to collections. I replied to the one of the emails and told them I had given them payment information before the work was started and received no response. Nearly ONE YEAR later, they magically found my payment information in the file and charged my credit card without notice. I called to speak with their account manager about it and she emailed me: "The girl that took your payment for the emergency work left to go back to school and did not make us aware that we had your credit card on file until it was mentioned in an email to Angela, our collections person, that you had filed out a credit card authorization form on 01/31/18. When I had looked in the file, I found the credit card authorization and charged the card. I sincerely apologize for the mix up." If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. I will never use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone. read more

A pipe bursting in the time of Covid-19 was a nightmare. Once the water and mold remediation was completed, the process of rebuilding was a challenge. While my association might like them because they are cheaper than the alternatives, I am clearly getting what was paid for.
