I hired them to tow my Jeep from University of Massachusetts Boston to Cambridge on a Saturday. The ordeal began with a spectacular show of their callous tardiness; they reached the car an hour and a half late, by which time I had already made several patient phone calls inquiring as to the whereabouts of the tow truck. Each time their employee assured me that the tow truck would be there in a matter of minutes. Finally, at the verge of my wits end from waiting, I called and asked to speak with the manager. The manager without so much as pretending to listen to a grieving customer, begins to yell and threatens to call off the tow truck altogether. I am stunned at the way these people treat their customers. Not only do they not care about a customer who is in genuine need for assistance, but use the customer's misfortune of having to hire a tow truck against them. I think it is safe to say they do not deserve your business.

I called around to a few towing companies in Boston - one hung up on me, several didn't pick up and another told me to call another company because they would not come to West Roxbury. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find anyone willing to pickup that early. Luckily parkway picked up and told me they could make it within the hour. Sure enough, they showed up within the hour as they promised. Joe (the driver of the tower) was very professional. Just having been in an accident, I was a little shaken up but Joe was easy-going and no fuss. He drove my car to my repair garage and dropped off without any issues. Just as I thanked him and was about to walk home, he asked me if I needed a ride. He ended up giving me a ride back to my apartment before he had to take on his next job. I would recommend Parkway over and over again both for their professionalism and for their people - it's that reliability and going above and beyond that would make be recommend them over and over again.

Anita at 800-222-8252 didn't know how answer my questions, put me on hold while she went looking for someone to help, came back and thought I was that someone, and when I said that I was the caller she'd put on hold, she put me back on hold, and then the call was disconnected. Beth at 866-423-5585 could provide neither expert guidance or any guidance at all. When I asked for information on international driver's licenses (when and where they are required, how to get one, how long they are valid), Beth assured me that she does not issue them, and had refused to answer my other questions. Liz at 617-332-9900 (the branch with the travel agent that did not call when scheduled) said that she had "no way of answering" my questions. Chuck Nardozza at 401-868-6248 said AAA is NOT a travel agent, it just "helps booking flights", and it matters whether I am ready to book now. Sure I am if it will move the ball along, but no, AAA will not call as scheduled because there are other callers who are people who need help. And I am not a caller? Or I am not a person? Or I do not need help? Several emails, one letter and half a dozen calls later, I give up. It is not worth either the annual fee or anyone's time trying to pry services out of AAA.

This was not my choice. I wanted to wait for my insurance co. to send roadside assistance, but was told my car was "blocking the roadway," though it was actually well situated in a parallel parking place. After the car was towed to Haskins, my insurance company arranged to have my car transported to a body shop closer to my residence. Mike, the manager at Roadside Rescue refused to release the vehicle to my insurance company unless I came in person to sign a release. I live 2 hours away, and this was just before the holidays, so I was embarking on family travel making it difficult to fulfill this request. I asked that that Mike send me the release form in the mail. He refused. I asked if he could email the release form to me. He refused. I asked for my spouse to sign the release form in person on my behalf. He refused. They essentially were holding my vehicle hostage while also insisting that Haskins Automotive, a body shop in Wellesley, could provide the body work. To agree to release the car to my insurance company, they insisted that they tow the car out of state, which out of desperation, my insurance adjuster agreed to do. Roadside charged almost as much for the towing as the new body shop quoted for the body work. Vitale, the mechanic at Haskins, is very nice; however, with Mike, the manager of Roadside Rescue, an affiliated business, the business practices include intimidation and force. If they had a great reputation, they would not have to impose their service on customers.

They were helpful and told us what to expect throughout the insurance process, I really felt like they were advocates in our corner. The driver of the tow truck who came to the scene even asked how my daughter was the next day because he remembered her being in the car. Above and beyond excellent customer service.
