I would have rated this a zero if that was an option. Stay away! I had a late afternoon appointment (3pm) and when I got home they was a no show. I called to see if they were still coming and the technician said they tried calling twice and I didn't answer so they decided to go home. I asked why they didn't leave a message and they said they don't leave messages and that I would need to reschedule since they don't do late appointments. The technician was rude and didn't seem to care. Why do they call them 24 Hour Air? Accountability? Leave a message if someone doesn't answer. Bottom line is technician was rude. If you don't do late appointments then don't schedule them. Do better. read more

They have very open availability and can come whenever you need them, which is especially good in an emergency situation. They always call and let you know when they are on the way, the communication is awesome. If you ever need a receipt or have any issues later on, they are quick to help. I would give them zero stars if I could. Our landlord hired them when our A/C went out over the weekend while it was 101 degrees out. The guy showed up an hour and a half late, spent about 2 minutes looking at the unit, came inside, shot the vent with his laser temp gauge & stated that it was working since it read 67. When we tried to explain that almost no air was coming out & it was 84 degrees inside he said the unit couldn't handle the heat & left. It wa s the same guy in previous reviews. The landlord had to call out another company who took 5 minutes to discover the culprit- a large piece of insulation was blocking the air vent on the unit. Been a rough couple days and the home warranty finally called these guys! Talked to them about 10 o'clock last night and said they would be coming out tomorrow and the technician came over very nice and respectful told me what was going on with the unit and helped explain stuff about it for me to understand. They called me and apologized that they were late due to a couple jobs running behind and when the tech arrived he apologized as well. Very friendly people!! I was in a pickle. My AC went out in the evening after business hours. I called 24 hr they said they would be to my house between 10:30 and 11:30 that evening. They were right on time. My service man was Anthony. He was very nice. We talked out the issue, made a plan of attack, and he went to work. My issue could have been a few things so it was process of elimination. Unfortunately the first plan didn't work and it went out again the next day. I called again, they arrived on time once again, and it was Anthony again. He did exactly what he said he was going to do. He went on to the next problem and, so far, so good. I got a refund for the difference between call # 1 and call # 2. The refund showed up right away, I have AC, and I am a happy camper. read more

What I enjoy about their service is how the technician breaks down your technicalities and explains them to you in a manner that you can comprehend. It's very good information to know so you can identify the issues when they arise. I'm someone that likes to have a little knowledge about everything, rather than having maximum knowledge on only one thing. Anthony, my technician has provided AC Repair by establishing that my refrigerant needed to be replaced. Apparently the refrigerant I had installed didn't meet my ACs specifications. We have cool air! First time on Yelp. Not really a review type person. After the past weekend and getting saved by this company I figured I would. So yesterday afternoon during our cookout the ac when out. At first we thought it was just because there was 20 people in the home. But as the temp kept raising it was a dead give away. Funny all the commercials on tv tell you about 24 hour service but when you call them on a holiday, their voice mail answers. Okey dokey guys and gals, feel the need to get this off my manly-manly chest. I freely admit that we have not been kind to our A/C unit. After watching a gazillion commercials telling us to get a tune up, we scoffed, as if our unit would run forever without some professional attention. WE WERE WRONG! As the spring sprung and it was time to close the windows or watch our 7 year old explode from pollen overload we realized that something was amiss. We promptly ignored it and went along on our way. As the heat of the summer has hit we now find ourselves on the ugly side of no air conditioning! Bwah-bwah-bwahhhhhhh. With the backstory told, I will now tell you why NOT to call these cats: We called 24 Hour Air to come help us out. The technician came at the appointed time and was quite peasant. Our house was the usual mishmosh of humanity with friends over, kids running hither and yon, and myself prepping for a catering. 24 Hour Air charges $49 for the service charge which is a fair bit lower than most of these companies and this is where we find out why! The tech (tho very nice) merely checked our freon! It was low and he replaced 2 lbs of freon at $100/pound (this is about the going price, kids!) We felt cool air coming out of our vents and he charged us and left. In three days we had no air again! We called Morris Jenkins to come out because we started to feel like we had been duped. Indeed, for the $79 service charge at MJ, we actually got service (cleaned the entire unit outside and inside, checked it out and found the actual problem)! In fact we found out that our coil had a leak and the fan motor had burnt out! He let us know that you never actually lose freon unless there is a leak somewhere (apparently this is HVAC 101). Upon looking at the invoice from 24, we found that the tech had written a small note stating that if the air failed again it would be due to a leak and that they would have to come back and fix it! Had he actually looked at first this $250 charge could have been avoided and we would be delighted with 24, rather than feeling like they are poaching $250 and then hitting us up later for the cost of the repair. I then took the time to relate my concerns to 24 Hour Air on their comments page. I let them know that we felt duped and that they should feel obliged to resend a tech, fix what was wrong and subtract the $250 from any repair cost. They have not responded in any way whatsoever. They suck! This is in no way a review on Morris Jenkins, we found their service to be very good and they seem honest, but we also feel that their pricing structure may be a little high so we are trying to get a bidding war going on with more reputable dealers to get our best price before the heat wave hits in 3 days! I hope this is a lesson to those who are like us. Keep your system running with those crazy "tune-ups", it will help in the long run and you will continue to be cool as the other side of the pillow! The manager called back at 8:19 pm 7/27/2021 after my husband hung up after they said they could not come out until the next day and the technician stated they come out even in cases of emergency. So to get to the point the manager called back and told my husband he was rude for hanging up but he was done talking and he kept yelling at my husband and wouldn't give his name at all just said he was the manager and kept scolding my husband and then hung up lol this is so not professional and I hope the real owner see this because he needs to be fired calling your customers home like that. He answered and first told my husband he was after hours then he became the manager when I told him he wasn't suppose to be calling back being rude to my husband and then when we asked his name he wouldn't give it but said his dispatcher was Anthony this guy was crazy to call my home back like that and that was scary and creepy. I will be talking to a manger tomorrow. So the guy that was rude to us name was Anthony and he is a tech but said he was a Manager and it's sad this company allow this. He told us to cut the a/c off and he didn't know when he would get somebody out here very rudely and we told him we can't just cut it off there is an infant in the home and he said "well it ain't working so what's the difference" he has given us heck and we just trying to get air during a very hot time. read more

Our unit stopped working on a Sunday and 24 hour air called us back immediately and was there within two hours which was great. We were told they were three problems that needed to be fixed which would cost us $600. We decided to fix two of the three problems replace a part on the unit and clean the units we did not need to fix our vents upstairs. We have lived here for 13 years and our events have always been fine.After the technician charged us and fixed the unit. He came in and said "oh by the way you're low on a 1/2 lb of Freon " AFTER he already charged us and fixed the two problems that he found. The ironic part is that today our air conditioner froze up which it has never done in 13 years. COMPLETELY FROZE. Needless to say the unit is not working and we are now missing WAY more than a half a pound of Freon. At the beginning of the service call my husband said are we low on Freon the technician said no. Quite ironic that it froze AFTER being worked on and never has and 13 years. By the way the technician also said after we paid him $400 that he couldn't warrantee the work because we wouldn't fix the vents. Called 24 heating and air charlotte, nc their technician came out very professional and respectful to home remove shoes and entered. Advised tech of problem and he serviced hvac system, no heat. After diagnosing problem after about twenty minutes told me it needed a limit switch that attaches to unit that involves unplugging two wires and removing two screw; It took him all of one minute to remove advised me that it will cost 69.99 plus additional 199.99 for part and installation. I advised are u serious I was thinking maybe 100.00 dollars tops including everything. Told him never mind he said we are the cheapest.
