Since our move typically only takes 2.5 hours, we initially booked a company that charged by the minute for our move from storage to a new house. Due to delays in closing the house, we had to cancel the movers we had scheduled and scramble to find last minute movers. Since we had used 24/7 moving in the past, and they still had a pretty good rate, we booked them again for this next move. Thank goodness for their flexibility! However, on the day of the move, the movers showed up 1.5 hours late. We didn't get a call or anything with any updates about this delay, so that was unprofessional. It ended up working out because my boyfriend noticed a spill in the storage unit, so he had time to clean up before the movers came. Movers for the most part worked pretty fast, and they were nice. The unloading to the house took less than 30 minutes. However, we did notice some of our items were broken (the back of the dresser was chipped). After these two experiences with this company, I'm not sure if I would recommend them if you have other options. Addendum: received some unkind messages from the manager claiming I had lied about the situation. I do acknowledge that Jay had told me back in November that the movers needed to come at noon because they they had a morning appointment, but this was for our first move on 11/19. For the 12/11 move, I didn't receive any notice that the movers could be late, and I was told that the service fee could not be waived (we did pay the additional $50 fee on top of the hourly rate as indicated in the screenshot). After speaking with Jay today, it looks like the service fee was supposed to be added on top of the $50 travel fee. I did my due diligence to estimate the quote in writing, and also briefly spoke to a gentleman over the phone a few days before the move to confirm the rate. I didn't get any notification in writing or over the phone that the estimated cost I thought I was supposed to pay was incorrect. This was a misunderstanding on my part. In the future, I would recommend better communication when movers are running late (a simple call 30 mins in advance would suffice) and better communication regarding estimated costs for moving. read more

They would not provide a DOT # as That US Department of Transportation number must legally be provided to you with every quote that you receive. When I asked them for this, they asked me to call them and basically said "we wish you well on your move and will be removing your estimate" I asked for DOT and she repeated the comment. Communication both times were clear, he and his team worked quickly, professionally and have great attitudes! These guys were AMAZING. First of all, my house is up 30+ stairs and covered in snow. My husband and I had been away for the season so once I arrived at the house to meet the movers, the stairs were covered! I tried to clear the stairs and path up to the house before they had arrived, but there was too much work to be done. A team of three pulled up to the house and I let them know that my husband was on the way with the truck and I would get the path cleared. Instead of taking advantage of being on the clock, they hustled out of the car, took the shovel from my hands and went to work! So not only did they do an incredible job getting all of our belongings up 30+ stairs and into whichever room we needed, they shoveled our path in NO TIME. These guys were working so quickly and efficiently, I couldn't convince them to slow for a break! They were very warm and wonderful people. I needed to empty my large storage unit into the U-Haul truck I rented so we can move to our new house. Jay and Jawan showed up early, and went right to work moving boxed and furniture into the U-Haul truck. My wife and I left for a few minutes and returned with breakfast Burritos, and they were almost done. Hired them a week in advance, made sure they were still working during Covid19. (Sent me the text to fill out a week in advance.) he called me the morning at 8am saying they were on their way. (said about 10am/11am) Nobody ever showed up, I called him about 11am and asked where they were, and he said his workers never showed up, and he won't be able to make it until Monday. I was pissed! So we had to adjust our schedule to Monday. They ask you a time you want them to arrive, I said 8am. They didn't show up until 11:45am. Ridiculous! I was moving from LA to the IE. They didn't get back to the IE until 4pm, and I was waiting on them at my storage garage. The guy lied to his boss saying he is trying to call me and tell me they were almost there. I was waiting outside of the gate waiting for them, but meanwhile somebody had let them in and they never once called me. Finally after 30-40 minutes I got a phone call and the guy said he was there already inside the gate. At this point i'm pissed off, and I just ended up helping them unload their truck to get into my storage garage. So they got to my old place in LA at 11:45am(Saw on MyRing) he charged me 11am-6pm. I received a quote for 3 movers at $95 per hour to show up at 12pm Saturday. They were to disassemble, move, and reassemble. Two movers in a Uhaul showed up at 6:20pm. Because they were over SIX HOURS LATE, we had already moved all our boxes and smaller furniture. They didn't have tools to disassemble anything. They moved our belongings (after my daughter drove tools to the house) and did not reassemble anything but one bed frame. He didn't. Then he said he didn't have them. I checked my garage to no avail and then he once again confirmed with his employee that they have them and promised to drop them off. Again, he didn't. I received a quote saying it will be 90 hour and 35 service fee. Day of the move he calls me to let me know it's an additional 200 if begins to rain. Something I didn't budget for. At the end of the day there were more charges besides the hourly and service rate. Charges for tv move and gas which again I was not expecting and was not told in the beginning or when I was requesting a quote. I did not like that type of service and explained to Jay to be upfront of all costs at the beginning or during our conversation when getting a quote not the day of the move. After we begin to organize we noticed some screws and pieces are not with the furniture which makes it difficult to put things back. together. I do not recommend this service. Note: my husband was not ok or aware of the extra charges and the DDT was not mentioned in the beginning of the day nor on the paperwork when it was first written before the move was started. These are things I brought up to Jay at the end of the day. Our apartment was packed up and we moved things ourselves in our vehicles to assist in the move.
