We had breakfast at this hotel restaurant every morning (included as part of our American Express travel package). The selection was actually pretty good. (See Pics). We had something different every day for 3 days. Everything was cooked to order and came out warm. Everything we had was very tasty. We ordered HAPPY HOUR BITES one afternoon and they were really good too. So many places in Savannah to eat but I'd say theses guys were very solid! Wait staff was very friendly also! No wait time when we dined.

Last breakfast before heading out back out west. Located in the Andaz Hotel just off the lobby is this farm-to-table restaurant. This is actually a hidden gem but I say that because Savannah has so many places to go and eat that you one can easily overlook eating in this hotel. If the thought or idea was just "the hotel restaurant" then you're wrong my friend. The service was great but the restaurant does need to step up with the overall look and decor. Granted, it's not as elegant or over the top as many others, but it does need something unique to help it stand out. During the day, the large windows and lighting allow for some great people-watching. We had the Hot Honey Chicken & Waffle (Hot Honey on the side) & The Andaz Catfish & Grits with Fried Okra. Chicken and Catfish were cooked just right and the balance of flavor profiles was a win-win for us. (Sweet & Savory). Both were perfect to hold us over for the flight home. Definitely would consider returning even if I'm not staying at the hotel. And the lobby bar... LEGIT with daily Happy Hour specials that keep you at bay!!!

The standard.

Great breakfast spot inside the Andaz. The variety here really stands out, way more options than most hotel restaurants, and everything was perfectly prepared and cooked. The Gourmand was excellent, the biscuits and gravy were killer, and the shrimp and grits were absolutely top notch. Huge shoutout to my server Josiah, pure energy and joy, genuinely made the experience even better with his vibe. Savannah has amazing food everywhere, but this is incredibly convenient and honestly a perfect start to the day, especially if you're staying at the hotel.

We stayed two nights in the Andaz hotel and had breakfast in the adjacent restaurant 22 square. The ambiance is wonderful and I enjoyed the fresh flowers on each table. The staff was excellent , attentive and polite. The first day we were there I had the fried chicken Benedicts. The presentation was gorgeous, and the chicken and gravy were amazing. I was a little sad that the poached eggs were overcooked but I didnt want to send the whole dish out so I just asked for a new poached eggs which came a little later. The second day I had the nutella and berries waffle which was good, but nothing special that I could not have made at home , the sprinkling of blueberries weren't anything to write home about. Overall it was a good place breakfast but probably wouldn't be back if I was not staying in the hotel.

All I can say is go for the shrimp and grits. I was not expecting much especially for a hotel restaurant but do not be deterred from trying 22 square restaurant & bar because it is in a hotel. The shrimp and grits are amazing - I loved the subtle bit of heat to the shrimp. The shrimp was tender and the grits buttery and mmmmmmmm yes! Enjoy, indulge and be surprised.

The restaurant is located in the Andaz and breakfast was good but not without hiccups. Service was good but not coordinated and missing items. I was seated quickly and waited a bit for the server to arrive. Drinks came out quickly and orange juice was fresh. The salmon was somewhat thick cut and was plentiful. The bagel was a bit tough so I didn't finish it. The side of bacon didn't arrive and the soft poached egg came out medium well but I wasn't going to ask nor wait since I had already spent a longer time here. I know that post-Covid that staffing is a challenge so I'd try it again and hope the kitchen staff gets their timing right with some kinks worked out.

22 Square came highly recommended by my family while visiting Savannah. I was told the shrimp and grits are a must have, so I decided to go with that! They were not wrong! The shrimp and grits were definitely the star of the show. The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and they give you a good amount of shrimp too! Another highlight of the night was the bread we received as a starter. It was SO GOOD! I believe it's an Amish sweet bread with a really creamy butter. Has the perfect combination of sweet and salty! I was a bit disappointed with the deviled eggs. The pimento was too overpowering and it could have had some more seasoning and flavor. Overall I would definitely recommended 22 Square. It's in the heart of Downtown Savannah, and the food is local and tasty!

Not extensive, but very good dishes!

Interesting spot inside a hotel (Andaz) The Shrimp and Grits were VERY VERY good!!!! Also the fried green tomatoes and the cocktails (Old Fashioned for us) In a city with SO many great restaurants, this one is no slacker!!!

Don't do it. No matter how tempted you are with it being in your hotel, it's going to take you 2-3 times longer than it would elsewhere to get your average tasting food. Take the time to go to a real restaurant with quality food and people who know how to cook.

So most everything thing here is very average, but that's unexpected as it's a hotel restaurant. The shrimp n grits were ok, trust me I've had over 100 varieties of shrimp n grits. The jambalaya pasta really needs a creamy sauce not just a tomato sauce. Seemed like a lazy dish. The one server was great, she was pretty much working alone and she gets 5 stars but the food gets 3 stars.

Beautiful spot, if you're looking for great river views and a pet-friendly place to enjoy a drink…read moreand some food. The outdoor patio is beautiful, surrounded by lemon and olive trees, with a center bar and large windows facing the river. There's a mix of lounge seating and tables for both small and larger groups, so it has a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. We ordered a few plates to share, including the grilled cabbage which was an unexpected favorite lots of flavor and surprisingly delicious. We also tried the Peruvian ceviche with plantain chips, tuna tostada, and burrata and tomato salad. Everything was fresh and worked really well for sharing while enjoying a few cocktails. Between the food, drinks, beautiful patio, and river views, this was a really enjoyable stop. And having our dog with us made it even better!

Some of the seating arrangements aren't covered so we opted for dining inside instead. The brunch provided a sharing board, entree, dessert tower, and optional add on unlimited mimosas. I wanted to do the Bellini initially however, they didn't have an unlimited option. There was live singing as well during the brunch hours. This is the perfect spot to have brunch when you're in Savannah!

I have a dairy allergy, and Mike went above and beyond to help me understand the ingredients in the different dishes and make sure I could order something I felt comfortable with. That level of attentiveness made such a difference. And the food was incredible! This was honestly one of the best meals I've had in a long time. Between the delicious food and the exceptional service from Mike, we had such a great experience. We will absolutely be back!

I have been hearing wonderful things about Darling's Oyster Bar since it opened near City Market…read morebut hadn't had a chance to check it out. It's right in the heart of downtown off Congress Street and across from the Rail Pub. There is street parking, but being downtown, it can definitely be limited. I finally stopped in after dinner hours around 7pm on Friday. Since it was date night we ordered the raw tower, which comes stacked with everything under the sun: oysters, shrimp, snow crab, lobster and mussels. I also ordered scallops and asked if it could be prepared without butter because of my dairy allergy. The kitchen has no problem making them with olive oil instead. Super delicious! I enjoyed it so much that I came back the following weekend with friends. I made reservations online during happy hour (4-6pm) and we were lucky enough to be seated in the small back dining room tucked away behind the bar. Our server was wonderful and very attentive, and I especially appreciated that she actually paid attention to the allergy notes I included with my reservations. Of course we all ordered a dozen oysters each because they're $1 during happy hour and who can beat that? I ordered the scallops again because I liked them so much the first time, and around the table we had a mixture of lobster, mussels, dressed oysters, turtle cheesecake, finishing everything off with espresso martinis. Hands down delicious. The service was top-tier too. Our server never hovered, but somehow always checked on us at just the right time and made sure we had everything we needed. Two great visits so far and I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu.
