Probably the best steamed buns I've had in Boston! The dough is perfectly fluffy and the fillings are nice and flavorful. The quality of the food overall is great and the restaurant is clean and brightly lit. It's relatively new so I think they're still working on getting everything set up (like delivery, etc.) but I would definitely recommend a visit!

Has the vibes of a home cooked meal! Tasty sauces with the dishes, and our favorite was a beef bone broth soup. Portion sizes are a bit small, but fair for the price. Super friendly staff made us feel so welcome!

This place is HORRIBLE. I ordered pan fried pork buns and the pork filling was still RAW. The waitress sent it back and the second time it was still so RAW. The meat was PINK! The steam pork buns were clearly premade frozen stuff which you can get in any Chinese grocery store for $6. Chive pancakes were under seasoned and tasted so bland. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE

Very new restaurant and it shows in the nice clean interior. Good food, friendly servers, and peaceful ambiance that makes for a great experience. Mapo tofu is delicious. Will definitely be coming back!

The lobsters and mussels were steamed to perfection, and I enjoyed them very much. The lady at the cash register was very sweet and patient, and did let us know it would take a while as the seafood were steamed fresh. It came in about 10-15 mins, so it wasn't that bad. I could imagine the wait being longer if it was crowded. The only thing I wished was a little better was the seating/dining areas. The outdoor was nice with the picnic benches but it was way too hot to be outside. The indoor section looked like a middle school cafeteria shack...which was whatever. Overall, food and service were great, ambiance could be a little better! Appreciate the sink to wash your hands after eating. Oh also, a pair of shell crakcers would be nice...had to use my hands to crack the pre-cracked shells but they were a little challenging.

Hourly's interior is high ceilinged and airy and features the eclectic decor that characterizes eateries on the Square. The menu features a range of seafoods for which it is known - from raw bar staples to lobster. We started with a Paul Buisse Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley and a Hendrick's Extra Dry Gibson up (Finally! A Gibson!) The wine was crisp and dry and a perfect accompaniment to the oysters we ordered. Hourly usually has up to 10 oysters on offer from New England and the Chesapeake. We ordered 2 each of the Paine's Creek, East Beach Blonde, Island Creek, Buttercup, and four of the Mookie Blues. Our favorites were the Buttercups and Mookie Blues. Both are from Maine and are larger with a textured brine and crisp finish. The main course was the Roasted Monkfish Almondine served with a cauliflower puree, raisins, caulilini, brown butter, and capers. The filet was meaty, flavorful and roasted to perfection. We also had the Striped Bass which was served on the bone with snow peas, zucchini, squash, and fava beans. Our server was prompt, attentive, and informative and we could not have been more pleased with the service. One of the genuine joys of dining at Harvard Square is you meet other wonderful, interesting people. The table on one side had two astronomers from MIT while the other had four high school principals from Houston. The conversation was engaging and delightful. Hourly has some strong choices for dessert but it sits next door to Mike's Pastry, a Harvard Square tradition, so we opted to indulge our sweet tooth there. Hourly is a great place to recharge and refresh at Harvard Square.

I can't get enough of their monkfish Marsala, usually ordered with the black squid ink pasta. There's always a line out front, and it's worth the wait. When I had the chance to bring a colleague at the end of the trip, he ordered the same dish and loved it. This is not a fancy place and it isn't trying to be. It's seriously good Italian seafood with epic portions. Go easy on the bread they bring with olive oil and spices because the plates are huge. I can rarely finish a full meal after an appetizer, so I usually just order the main. I'm excited they now have a location in Pasadena, California, which is convenient for my work travel. I can't wait to try it. PRO-TIP: there are a couple other locations nearby. Same good cooking. If you don't want to specifically eat in the original location, then it may be faster to pivot to Daily Catch Takeout Window at 331 Hanover Street, two doors from the original or the full service Waterfront site at 65 Atlantic Avenue which is an 8 to 12 minute walk from the original location through the North End streets.
