Horrible!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! Spent over $1300 for glasses that are garbage! This is my first pair of glasses I have ever needed at age 55. The Glasses I received were supposed to help but what I received was something completely different. I spend alot of time on computers and these are just blurry. They are supposed to be scratch resistant, but they were scratched in the first week by a plastic case. I waited a month to see if it was just me adjusting, but the issue remained. When I went back to Onsite20/20 they told me, "It's too hard to make glasses for everyone and I should use reading glasses for working on the computer"...WTF? really? so I should use a $5 pair of readers? I had a eye exam on March 14th 2023, and the prescription which was only emailed to me, (Is not on my portal site still), is missing my progressive. I have emailed them, and called them and left voicemail (because no one picks up the phone) repeatedly. I cannot get glasses because of their mistake and I cannot get ahold of anyone. I've never had to wear corrective lenses, and I probably hadn't gotten an eye exam in 10 years or more, but when I got the email that 2020 was going to be parked outside my office for a day, I jumped at the opportunity to conveniently schedule an eye exam. The registration system was very simple, and they send you helpful confirmation and reminder emails to make sure that you don't forget (we all get busy, after all). 10 minutes before my appointment time, I simply walked outside my office building and into the 2020 truck, which is clean-lined and more spacious inside than I had expected. I sign in with the receptionist and am immediately seen by the doctor, who is very friendly and makes me feel comfortable instantly (and not so terrible about waiting so long to get an exam). After the tests, he helpfully explains what's going on with my eyes, and that I could get some glasses to make them a teeny bit better, but honestly it probably wasn't even worth it. I really appreciated this honestly since it showed that they're not just trying to sell you stuff. The process took about 15 minutes total, and I was able to return to work feeling great about both my eyesight and my decisions. read more

They came to my office and seriously, it was a great experience. Set an appointment online about a week earlier, they emailed me to confirm a few days before and the day of. I walked out to our parking lot where the van sat at my appointment time and walked right in. The van itself was clean and well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful. Checked my insurance and I was able to sit down and get an exam done and out within 20 minutes. Got my prescription and a copy of my eye images (which I asked for just out of general curiosity) within 15 minutes of getting back to my desk. Quick, convenient, and all in all - awesome. 2020 came to Partners once again this year which is convenient for me BUT my order this year had been NOTHING but a big hassle compared to last year. I've had a horrible experience starting off with being misinformed about the use of my benefit and now after a month of waiting for my glasses to arrive --- the order is messed up!! I know 2020 have gotten popular because I know I recruited a few coworkers last year and convinced them to get their eye checked since I had such a positive experience. Also, while at my appt... people were also telling their coworkers to come and check it out. The start was great, customer service awesome. The guys on the mobile spent time helping my choose my frames and the OD was great with the exam. The whole appointment took awhile this year because they were booked! I was there for like an hour or so. Placed my order and off I go and was advised that I'll get my receipt via email. And so I did at the end of the day. The guy had issue with taking off some charges and I had the same awesome guy from last year so I trusted them and move along back to work without questioning the bill. When I received the bill, it was almost $100 more than last year... am thinking why? When it's the exact same order and my benefits plans are still the same-- I went to double check. Contacted customer service online and after NUMEROUS emails back and forth, they refunded me because I was misinformed. Katelyn was pleasant and helpful but still I couldn't get my explanation across as what was explained to me didn't make any sense but that's fine. I got my contact lenses within a week of the eye exam (9/6/18). I was advised that the glasses WILL take a bit of time to come so I'm waiting and waiting for my glasses and now it 10/1/18, so I decided to email for status update and received my glasses on 10/3/18! Super fast so I was excited.... only to open the box and my lens are ridiculously THICK! I specifically ask for the ultra thinnest lens (hi-index) and PAID extra for it. Now I'm back to having to email and getting this resolved... such a hassle and a nightmare. read more

So they kind of lie to you. I have full coverage vision insurance and I know what I am covered for. My lenses and frames are covered in network but when you go there they will spin this lie that they are in network by proxy, but they really aren't in network. When I showed the guy that I am covered if 2020 is indeed in network, the guy spun some lie that, blue cross blue shield means they only cover lenses made from materials from WWII. Yes the guy really said that to me. He then processed to tell me that despite my clear as day schedule of benefits that I would owe otherwise because BCBS only means for lenses made out of material not manufactured anymore. Yeah so I head over with my prescription to an actual in network place, and magically I'm covered fully! The thing is that they aren't in network and have some third party agreement with an in network provider whereby they are able to cover some of what your insurance would cover but not all. Granted its not that big of a deal financial wise, but that they lie to you to get you in is really shady. Not only that, the two people before me also were surprised by random hidden costs they have. So despite your insurance covering it, they have these like little machinations where they go 'sorry' and try to collect extra outside of what you really owe. Otherwise the doctor was great. I liked the concept of the truck. The service with the technician was also good. The doctor was professional and spot on. He, if he had an office somewhere, I would probably go to. However, I would prefer that they didn't need to collect a profit by misleading people. The company infrastructure is what I take issue with. One star because of all the misleading costs and intentions of the company. Lastly - funny enough as it is, THEY are NOT onsite. Three blocks down! They didn't even inform anyone that they weren't actually onsite. They just stuck a sign randomly the day of. read more

Never ever again!!!! This is one the worse experience that I had using 2020 On site eyeglasses. The process takes way too long. My eye examination appointment was Feb 28th. I decided to also purchase my frame there since they have my latest prescription. I was informed that my prescription glasses will be ready in about 2 to 3 weeks. That's long, but I guess. When I received my new glasses, it was the wrong color. How is that possible? Don't they check what was selected before assemble my new glasses? By then, I had a business trip out of town. I finally return the frame April 9th. It took UPS a week to get the frame to them. Then it took 2020 On Site another 2 plus weeks to get my glasses done. I finally received my glasses THREE MONTHS after my eye examination (April 27th) If you need to get your new glasses in a timely fashion, I highly recommend that you go to a store and get yours. read more

Since then the company has been both very communicative and very apologetic about the delay in completion of my glasses. However, when I returned to order glasses things were much worse and I cannot recommend this company. Eye exam: the truck itself is quite small but comfortable. The eye exam was very quick and worked very well with my work schaedule. Staff were friendly and the doctor was professional. I'll probably return for future eye exams because it's so convenient to have a truck come to your office. Ordering glasses: I returned to the truck the next time it came to our office to order glasses. This time the staff seemed harried and unable to handle the multiple customers in the truck. I believe the guy who ordered my frames skipped measuring my head, so the frames that were ordered were too small. I never received a receipt or a follow-up email explaining how long the order would take. It took about a month and the glasses arrived in the mail. I thought the frames were too small, so I returned to the truck to have them checked. The staff agreed, and they agreed to let me return the glasses for replacement. In the mean time I was told to keep them. I heard nothing for two weeks. Then I received an email asking me to return the frames. I walked over to 2020's office and delivered them in person. Then I heard nothing for 6 1/2 weeks. Finally I emailed to ask for the status and was told that they were behind but will follow up very soon. One week later and I have heard nothing. So, a full three months since I ordered and paid from my new glasses I'm still sitting around in my old glasses with nothing to show for it. I can understand that things aren't immediate, but this feels excessive. I'll add that the people I am emailing with about all of this are generally responsive and friendly, but they don't follow up on things. 2020 was excellent. I had not had an eye exam in over 10 years, because I didn't feel I needed one and never wanted to go out of my way to get one. When I heard 2020 would be on-site at my company, the convenience of scheduling an exam was too good to pass up. The exam fit perfectly into my work day, and I didn't have to worry about making an appointment and struggling to get to it like I would a normal eye exam or doctor's visit. The bus itself was clean and comfortable. The technology in the examination room was surprisingly advanced and helpful. The service associates were very polite and accommodating. The optometrist was friendly and helpful, and he did an excellent job of explaining every procedure and result of the exam. The main draw of 2020 is that they come to you. I don't have to work from home to go to the doctor near my house or find the time on the weekends to pop in. I just need a yearly eye exam to renew my contact prescription, so I'm in and out. While the office is mobile, that does mean it's a little cramped in the waiting area of the RV. I also felt like there was a lot of confusion with the customer service staff mainly in regards to our work insurance. However, the optometrist was friendly, quick, and answered my questions. As long as 2020 continues to visit my office, I'll continue to make my eye appointments with them. read more

I went to 2020 last year when they parked their office at my workplace. It was extremely convenient to be able to work and step outside to the eye doctor's. Scheduling appointments was also easy! I stepped up and they saw me right on time, took the time to chat with me about a few questions I had, and wrote me a new prescription I could take to use at any eye doctor I chose without fussing about my not purchasing glasses on the spot there. That was nice, since I've had trouble with that at other doctor's offices where they really pushed me into purchasing and I ended up with glasses I didn't love that were too expensive. Their imaging technology was so much better than having to take eye drops! I loathe going to the doctor's and then having hours of light sensitivity, especially since I am already sensitive to migraines. I had no idea I could avoid that! I can't say how the purchase process goes here, since I bought my glasses online, but the prescription was accurate. I'm not sure if they'll be back at our new Boston location (we were previously in Cambridge) but I would happily return for another exam. They also accepted my vision insurance at the time without hassle (VSP). read more

Love that my company arranges this for us every year. It made having my eyes checked so easy! Also, the staff is really professional and helpful. Even got some if my coworkers to go when they were unsure about it. Dr. B was very helpful with her suggestions for my dry tired eyes. I never felt pushed to get glasses, although I ended up being sorry I didn't get the glasses I saw and liked. The eye exam process and new prescription was fine. Just don't buy frames and lenses from them. They lost my initial order, so it took twice as long to get my new glasses. Then the bi-focal was too high, so I needed new lenses. After that appointment, my replacement order got lost AGAIN, so it's been 3 weeks and I'm still waiting. Having an on site facility with no extra time spent than picking up lunch from cafe, what else could you ask for? This was an amazing experience and a great idea. The overall experience was very pleasant and the whole staff was very friendly. The appointment wait time was less than 1 minutes. The value for money was in the contact lens exam which was covered under the same copay, where as some big stores charge separately for this exam. What a poor customer service! I scheduled to have the vision test at 10:30 today hoping to save the time of visiting my eye doctors, which I usually do once a year. It turns out that I made a big mistake! I arrived at the building of which the test was supposed to take place outside on time only to find no one there. There was no sighs, no tests, no tent, no anything! I double checked the email reminder and there as no clear indication of the exact location! I looked around the building and eventually, I was able to find the car at the far rear end of the building, where delivery trucks often park (what a strange place they picked!). Very convenient, fast, and easy. The appointment took about 15 minutes end to end, which included picking out frames and buying. They did not need to dilate my eyes, so going back to work was easy as well. The frames were shipped quickly and undamaged. I had an appointment in Kendall by my work. They were super fast and convenient. The appointment was pretty quick and efficient considering it was a 5 min walk from the office. Their selection of frames was definitely a bit on the pricier end especially considering I get mine from Warby Parker. Also they can't really compete with ecommerce sites like 1-800-CONTACTS but overall very happy with the customer service and convenience. read more

Very convenient service that came right to my office. I had never had an eye exam outside of my general practitioner as I have never had issues with my vision. My only constructive feedback was that my vision results were presented as 20/happy, and the purchase of glasses were suggested right away. This company practices very deceptive marketing practices. After receiving the following email and answering a very length survey, I was surprised to discover that in order to be eligible for the gift card I had to post a review on Yelp. "In order to continuously improve the 2020 patient experience, we need to hear from our patients. Your feedback is immensely valuable to us and we appreciate your time, so we're giving out six $100 Amazon gift cards to participants. Click here (or below) to complete a 10-minute survey on your 2020 experience." Also, when you click on the Yelp button, all my survey answers that I spent 10 minutes answering were lost - the browser jumps to Yelp but does not open another browser window, and when you click the back arrow all the answers are lost. I might have given this company a good review had they not wasted my time and deliberately tricked me with their deceptive marketing practices. Very convenient and I knew ahead of time they took my insurance. Eye exam was quick and the optometrist took time to listen to my concerns and provided helpful suggestions. My perscriptions were emailed to me, which was VERY convenient for ordering contacts online months later. I'll be going back if/when they return to my workplace. read more
