Service: The waiter was not knowledgeable about the menu and seemed to be in a bit of a hurry, like he had somewhere to be and we were his last table. One person sat without an entry and he came and asked the customer what dish he was waiting for. The server served a French onion soup that was charred across the top, the cheese was black, and only offered "I have had it like that and liked it"! Two of us got mussels, the portion was smaller than usual ( I have gotten the several times before) the bread was way over toasted, and when we asked for a bit more of the jus, he came after a while with a cup of what looked like buttered water. My point is, the cooks were not up to usual par, and the waiter did not care about serving. We still gave a 20% tip, on a $500. + bill. But it was not deserved. This review is for the owner, Jay may need to check on the food end once in a while on a busy Friday night.

We asked for the kids finger meal, Well our waitress Maggie clearly knew what it's like to dine with kids, our little helpers food came first and in record time. Super crispy chicken and fries which were reviewed as "super awesome ". I got a cup of French onion soup, it had a good layer of cheese and was full of onions, even on a 80 degree day that soup satisfied. The misses got the chicken bacon ranch pizza, which came out with a seriously generous covering of chicken and bacon and a nice perfectly cooked cheese/dough. Fantastic flavor and very well made. The garlic parm wings were great, came out extra crispy and saucy....this was definitely a house made sauce, it was well made and worthy of a French fry sopping. I was pleasantly surprised they were also quite meaty. I'm also a bleu cheese fan, theirs was chunky and had a familiar tang to it. I'm a huge fan of great service and good food. The restaurant was quite full and they were great about cleaning a table as soon as someone left. The ambiance reminded me a bit of a diner. I decided on the roast beef , my son chose chicken fingers and my daughter the French dip. We usually share bites when we are considering the same thing. I'm used to roast beef being undercooked with a little red and juicy and what i got was well done, dry and had no flavor. As some points the mean was a little to tough for me. I never finished the other half. The sandwich could have benefited with more meat. That ratio to the bread wasn't the best. In this case with the kind of beef it wouldn't have mattered, but in the future I would hope they create a better sandwich. My daughter had the same slight issue with the French dip. The sandwich was quite dry and overcooked. My son enjoyed his tenders. Overall it was a decent experience. We enjoyed the service and the atmosphere. The menu is quite extensive. We came to hear the main band, but it did not perform until well after 8 PM. We're not one's to stay out late so by 9 PM, we were heading out the door. We were a little disappointed that the band did not begin at 7 PM as advertised. I would come back again another night because they do have an interesting entertainment schedule.
