I stopped in for a quick fix on my sunglasses (which were not purchased there), and only did they help me right away, they did not charge me. The staff was incredibly kind, welcoming and professional, truly going above and beyond. It is super rare to find that level of genuine customer care these days, and they made what could have been a hassle into a smooth and pleasant experience. The optician side of the business was great, too. I want a specific style of frame (aviator with wrap-around temple piece) which are common anymore. They were able to source them and I had my new glasses in a week and half. I am not sure why there are some bad reviews from California. Perhaps they are reviewing a different company there with the name Eye Design Eyewear. The business in Ormond Beach Florida does not use that name anymore, and Yelp should adjust its site accordingly.

My eye was bandaged, and I went home. The next morning, I woke up to complete fuzziness and severely impaired vision. Over the next two months, I continued seeing Dr. Zobian but was repeatedly told everything had been done perfectly, despite my ongoing issues. The attitude I encountered was dismissive and arrogant. For context: Two weeks before this, I had cataract surgery on my right eye, which was very successful. I chose a lens for my left eye that was supposed to allow me to see up close without glasses. The staff at Tomoka Eye Center have generally been very good--my concerns are specifically with Dr. Zobian. At the recommendation of a retina specialist in Port Orange, I sought care at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute. They are an incredible facility, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering cataract surgery to seek care there, even if it requires travel. I will never allow Tomoka Eye Center to treat me again. I am currently seeking legal representation. Unfortunately, two major challenges exist: Florida's medical malpractice laws heavily favor physicians over patients. There is a two-year statute of limitations. I believe Tomoka Eye Center is aware of this timeline and is simply waiting it out. I only approached them after months of due diligence and extensive evaluations at Bascom Palmer. Once I exhausted all other avenues, I attempted to have a conversation with Tomoka. I spoke once with their operations director and have received no follow-up. Today, I am legally blind in my left eye. I rely entirely on my right eye and now wear trifocals just to function. This experience has profoundly changed my life and who I am as a person. You don't truly understand how important your vision is until it's compromised. To then be dismissed by a doctor is deeply frustrating and disheartening. I share these so others will think carefully before choosing where to trust their care. Your sight is too important to take lightly.

And then accused me of arguing with them. This is after paying hundreds of dollars just to get an eye exam by an optometrist not even an ophthalmologist. The Doctor was ok But examined me without checking my eye first to see if there was a lens in there so she had to start over. And why does a simple eye exam take an hour and a half? The staff needs proper training on how to deal with customers. I am not going back there.

Dr. Cady is nothing special and his assistant immediately became hostile towards me when I questioned what my insurance covered. She was aggressive and refused to even look up the information to verify what I was saying. It was unbelievable and although he didn't see how nasty she was he still condoned it when I alerted him of her hostility. They lost 4 patients today. I highly recommend avoiding this office if time is of value to you and you want quality contact fitting procedures.

Of course for convenience I got a estimate to replace my lenses with the new script. Th price was off the charts and I would be without my glasses for 4 weeks. Decided to shop around. Thank god. Went to vision one. They were so nice replaced frames and glasses for a third of the price and had them ready in a week. When I tried them on my vision was worse than my old ones. I said you made them wrong. They check the script dr caddy wrote and said they matched perfectly. Told to go back to caddy and have him recheck. Which I did and he had wrote the wrong script. Rewrote new and went back to vision and they were nice enough to redo for no charge. That was in June 2022 I'm just glad he's not a commercial pilot. Never going to use this guy again.

The sales order number is #1036618190538. The order was for blue lens computer glasses. I provided them my existing frames. I contacted the store on Jan 10 2026 and got a message stating they would call me back in 2 days. I did not receive a call from them. I contacted them again on Jan 20th 2026 at 9:47 AM and got the same message. I then contacted LensCrafters.com via phone and was told that my order had been cancelled and I needed to contact the store. I explained the situation and was told the only way was for me to travel to the store in Florida. I then tried again to contact the store on Jan 20th 2026 and I was able to speak to someone at the doctors office there. The person told me that they would leave a message for the manager and I would be contacted. I wanted to speak to Ashley and tried several times that day to reach the store 3 times but no one picked up and all I got was a message stating that someone would get back to me within 2 business days. On the 4th try Ashley picked up. She confirmed that the order had been cancelled because the glasses had come back but they did not pass quality control. She said one of the employees there would get back to me the next day. Of course no one contacted me the next day. I tried contacting the store on the 24th of Jan again, after a couple of tries I got through. I spoke to Ashley for a few minutes and was put on hold. An employee came on line and asked if I could describe the frames I gave them. I told them they had the frames and should look at the frames themselves. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. The employee came back at which point I asked them to simply refund my money and send my frames back. She said ok. I asked her to put me back in touch with Ashley so I could confirm this. I was put on hold for 15 minutes again after which I hung up and tried to call again a couple of times to no avail. I am now out of my money and my frames. Do not go to this store. Ashley is the Manager. They have stolen my money and my frames
