No complaints. During covid, they made space inside so patients are not sitting close to each other, they took temperatures, and put chairs outside, which by the way, are very comfortable. At first I was reluctant to sit outside, but on my next visit, I did, and it was actually pleasant to sit in the fresh air, they came out to get me when it was time for my appointment. As of today 6/2021, everyone there is wearing masks, and everything is very clean. I was told I do not have an eye infection and surgery wasn't necessary just to keep an eye on things. This eye Institute was immaculately clean. They really treated me with the upmost respect and Chelsea did all my pre-examinations explained everything as she went along and then I saw Dr. Grossman, who was extremely nice and understanding about my anxiety and what I had been told the day before and did not put me through any unnecessary testing, but was able to completely reassure me that I did not have an double eye infection. I would highly recommend this office. They got me in almost immediately and gave me reassurance.

My eyes were irritated, and the Dr. sent a prescription to a specialty pharmacy called Blink Rx. When I phoned them, I discovered a one-month supply of eye drops would cost $700.+ and was not covered by insurance. The next shock came when I asked for my prescription to use to purchase eyeglasses. They said that would cost $ 75.00. Now, I have seen eye doctors in a number of different states, but have NEVER BEEN CHARGED FOR THE PRESCRIPTION. So I asked, "If I go into my online chart, will I see it there? " The response was, " Oh no, patients are not allowed to see that information." I wonder what HIPAA would have to say about that !! Needless to say, I'm looking for another eye clinic. Unless you are incredibly wealthy, you do not want to see the Florida Eye Specialists. They are not for the average person and absolutely not for retirees living on a fixed income. I also plan to pass this information on to my Senior Primary Care people so they will not unknowingly refer patients there. Janice Shriver
