Biggest time wasters and the most frustration I've ever experienced in ordering glasses over the past 40 years. Two thumbs down for the retail side. They are highly unprofessional and poorly managed. I placed an order with LensCrafters at the Volusia Mall in Daytona Beach Florida on December 23rd 2025. The sales person was Ashley who is also the manager of the store. The sales order number is #1036618190538. The order was for blue lens computer glasses. I provided them my existing frames. I contacted the store on Jan 10 2026 and got a message stating they would call me back in 2 days. I did not receive a call from them. I contacted them again on Jan 20th 2026 at 9:47 AM and got the same message. I then contacted LensCrafters.com via phone and was told that my order had been cancelled and I needed to contact the store. I explained the situation and was told the only way was for me to travel to the store in Florida. I then tried again to contact the store on Jan 20th 2026 and I was able to speak to someone at the doctors office there. The person told me that they would leave a message for the manager and I would be contacted. I wanted to speak to Ashley and tried several times that day to reach the store 3 times but no one picked up and all I got was a message stating that someone would get back to me within 2 business days. On the 4th try Ashley picked up. She confirmed that the order had been cancelled because the glasses had come back but they did not pass quality control. She said one of the employees there would get back to me the next day. Of course no one contacted me the next day. I tried contacting the store on the 24th of Jan again, after a couple of tries I got through. I spoke to Ashley for a few minutes and was put on hold. An employee came on line and asked if I could describe the frames I gave them. I told them they had the frames and should look at the frames themselves. I was put on hold for 15 minutes. The employee came back at which point I asked them to simply refund my money and send my frames back. She said ok. I asked her to put me back in touch with Ashley so I could confirm this. I was put on hold for 15 minutes again after which I hung up and tried to call again a couple of times to no avail. I am now out of my money and my frames. Do not go to this store. This LensCrafters has Ben giving me the runaround not once but twice. The first time was my fault. I lost my glasses to the ocean, so I came here to get an eye exam and glasses. But to my knowledge they couldn't make lenses. Odd but your name is "LensCrafters". So I wanted them to send my prescription to the Athens GA location cause I was head home in a day or two. They said they couldn't do that. That they would have to mail them. Okay then they can ship them right to my house. NOPE! I have to pick it up from the Athens location. And the other store didn't understand why they were so difficult. Seven months later I need my prescription for work. I called and asked if they can email me a copy of it. NOPE! This LensCrafters does not have the ability to email. Not even from store to store. They said I could just come by and pick up a copy of my prescription. I told them I work 8 hours away. That won't work. Then they said they can fax it, but who has a fax machine? I work in a corporate office and we don't have a fax machine anymore. So I went to the LensCrafters in Birmingham, bless that store cause we called this store 4 times to fax over my prescription and I would just get it here. The Hoover location helped me so much. They were dumbfounded by the reps at the Daytona Beach location. Come to find out it's a HIPAA Violation to withhold personal medical documents. read more

Travelled one hour each way to order $800 worth of eyeware. Received a call/text that my glasses were ready, only to find that just one pair was available upon arrival of another one-hour drive. "oh no, it's not our fault, its the SYSTEM" Have you heard this one before, it so, you can stop reading. "oh, we told you we would send two texts, as they were coming from different places" Ummmn, no, TJ you did not. Enough of this, just cancel my order. The thing about systems, TJ, is that there is Human at each end of the system, and it was not the system that failed. If you blame the system, you blame yourself. read more

I had the most amazing time with Tricia and Ashley today. My eye exam with Ashley was probably the best I have ever gotten. She was really understanding with my difficulties with some of the machines and she explained everything very clearly. Tricia is such a gem she helped me pick out glasses I would like and even fixed my current ones. I sincerely loved that she didn't just steer me towards the most expensive ones and actually worked with me on what I liked and what style I enjoyed. And she explained how all of the add-ons worked and what they did and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted on my new pair. And I loved that I could have an actual conversation with all of the employees and it wasn't just cut and dry business it made me feel very comfortable being in the office. I wish more places would operate with how they did today the service was amazing the conversation fulfilling and all over they were so kind and personable. read more

This is a follow up from my previous review Dated 8/15/2024 I received my glasses a few days later I purchased a pair of Oakley Rimless. On September 6, 2024 I returned the the glasses for the same problem the lens detached from the nose frame and fell off. I returned to Lenscrafters spoke to Ashley Barrientos the "Technician" she had the lens reattached to the frame and returned them to me. Three days later I was driving in a heavy rainstorm. Suddenly I was stunned when my glasses came apart again. The right lens detached from the frame again. I want my money back! These frames are dangerous and could result in a serious accident to anyone wearing them. This is the second time these glasses fell apart in a Heavy rain storm in traffic with poor visibility. They came apart and fell on my lap. I am a 78 year-old senior that relies on glasses to see clearly. There is no explanation for these glasses falling apart other than poor quality and manufacturing and I'm am sure will someday be the proximate cause of a serious traffic accident, due to the poor workmanship. Do NOT go to this location. The Gen Manager is a liar. I have had nothing but issues. I had to order different lenses to get anti glare added to my new glasses. The lenses came in. A guy from Lab called at 6:57 pm (3 min before close) the night before Thanksgiving. He proceeded to tell me it would be more than a week out to cut the lenses because he has to is his personal car and his personal gas to drive to another store to use their equipment because his lab is torn out because of the sewers being worked on. He stated I would need to bring my glasses and he would have to drive over while I wait for what could be several hours for him to cut it so I would need to first call and make sure he has time which means I would have to basically take an entire day off of work for this to accommodate him. (I was told last week when this was ordered that I could come by during any business hour and it would take approx 20 min. At my convenience. ) He then proceeded to say "Now this after 7:00 and I am talking to you on my own personal time. Very rude he also stated he was the only person at the store who cuts lenses Friday I called the store to address the issue & the first person who answered talked over me and refused to allow me to say what had occurred and kept demanding I give my number (she never asked my name) suddenly another woman was speaking to me and, again demanding my number. I asked to speak to the Mgr and she stated she was the Mgr. I then asked for the Div. Manager contact and she refused to provide. I then hung up and called another store who provided me with a Corp. number. They called the store three wanting me in. Initially the Manager was bad mouthing me claiming I was screaming at the other person while they were in front of a patient. First the phones are located away from where the patients are seated so that was the first lie, then the rep chimed I. To let her know I was on the line. She then became extremely nice & then proceeded to claim how sad she was I had such a bad experience. I, again asked for the Div mgr contact she kept pressing to resolve herself, I asked that my Lense's be sent to the store down the street and she begged me to allow her to fix herself she then promised to cut the lenses and place on brand new frames identical to my own on Sat and that she would call me Saturday to let me know it was done and suggested she had something else for me for my trouble. Well Saturday came and went, Sunday came and she is not in of course. So here we are. A manager who clearlybretaliatesbagainst her customers and lies when corporate is on the phone. It's no wonder they can't keep workers there with a manager who is like this. Even the Drs leave and patients have to have virtual eye checkups through video instead of an actual dr physically examining you. They would be better off closing this store or cleaning house and starting over. The only person I would keep is the new tech who assisted the virtual dr. She was very sweet and thorough. Then to add to this did get a call from a sweet girl requesting I drive to the Home Depot Parking Lot to meet Phil and hand him my glasses so he could go into the store nearby and cut my lenses while I sit in the Home Depot Parking lot! I started laughing and told her what this joke of a Gen Mgr promised me she was supposed to do herself personally the day before (12:15 on Sunday this call. They opened at 12:00) I also laughed and said, " I bet she didn't come in today either" and she stated she was there. I suggested we get her on the phone so she could explain why she lied with corporate on the recorded call Friday so she placed me on hold. When she returned she stated the Mgr had left. At that point the store was open a whole 23 min. I suggested she be careful with what she is going to say to me if untruthful because the call was being recorded so she stopped. She then proceeded to say the Manager was going to get things for a co workers birthday that is tomorrow. So I call corporate again as I still have heard nothing from Ashley Jones, the manager. I had filed a formal complaint over the weekend. Her response was she shipped the glasses to me and also that I had a 4pm appt I didn't show up for. Again, both lies. I called the store asking for tracking info and Kimberly admitted the label had not even been printed. She called back about 10 minutes later and gave me a tracking number but in checking it was never picked up by UPS. Another lie performed by Ashley read more

We stopped there today, my glasses had been stepped on and bent pretty bad. The lens had popped out also. They not only fixed my glasses perfectly, but also installed and adjusted the nose pads on my wife's glasses. All at the great cost of 0. One of the screws in my prescription glasses went missing while on vacation in Ormond Beach. My glasses were purchased from my optometrist and not through LensCrafters.I had purchased a repair kit which didn't work out too well. I went to this location and they were able to replace the missing screw. She also suggested she should replace the nose pads. I asked if they had a suggestion for missing nose pad on my Oakley sunglasses. They have special nose pads and were hard to find. She even had a replacement for that. I asked how much I owed and she said it was all no charge. I appreciate they were able to help me out with my non-LensCrafters glasses. read more

We had a wonderful experience getting new glasses for my partner today. One saleswoman was a little pushy, but we ended up being served by the store's manager and she was phenomenal! She explained what frames would/wouldn't work, was very considerate of my partner's preferences without trying to upsell us on anything. She was obviously incredibly knowledgeable. Able to explain the change in prescription and put technical language into layman's terms, it was a wonderful experience all around and we were definitely made to feel like the only customers in the store--not rushed, fully prioritized. New to the area, went to a local optometrist and could not see with the Rx he gave me. Went back twice and that was enough. Went to LensCrafters at the Volusia Mall and it was an excellent experience. Dr. Maria Rogers took time for me to explain my situation and the staff was very professional yet friendly. The Rx I got was perfect, and I now have the glasses I need. All Covid protocols are being followed, even a temperature check. And they cleaned all the equipment as I watched so that I was comfortable with it. read more

My glasses were promised in 7 to 10 days. It has now been over 3 weeks and no one knows where my glasses are or when they will be in. The store manager has no info doesn't call back when she says she will because she is too busy taking care of new business rather than helping customers with a problem. She has been no help. I had to bring my glasses back to get the "correct lenses" put in them. When I walked in on Sunday 3/3/19, I was greeted by an older blonde lady. She was looking for my new lenses when one of the other employees, a younger male with dark hair and his pants drooping, told her to greet a man who had just walked through the door!! I was pissed but didn't say anything. I guess once you buy the glasses, you aren't as important as someone walking through the door. What type of manager asks an employee to stop helping a customer??? Fortunately a technician came out, found my lenses and put them in my frames. I have been coming here for the last 20 years. This last time was the best experience I've ever had at any Lenscrafters. Lori, the store's manager was fantastic! She was have us her undivided attention as if we were the only customers in the store. She was very knowledgeable about my prescription, telling me how that translated to what size frames would work best and what my limitations were. She was able to take care of all of my needs and provided detailed explanations of what I was getting, how insurance was applied, etc. read more

Amazing service! About a month ago I took my 98 year old grandma in to get a replacement set of glasses. She has very limited mobility and doesn't communicate well. Larry, the manager, went above and beyond in helping her and making sure she got a pair of glasses that were comfortable, affordable and fit her face. This is an old review I should have done months ago. I was visiting from out of town and forgot to bring my contact lens solution. I stopped in this Lens Crafters, located in the mall, to see if I could buy a small bottle there. Pam helped me and gave me one of those contact lens little packs with a mini bottle of solution and a case. She said I didn't have to pay for it-that was so nice and thoughtful. Their staff always greets you as soon as you walk in, and they let you know how quickly they can help you depending on how busy they are. When I purchased my glasses, I appreciated that the sales rep was so knowledgeable in regards to what my insurance would and wouldn't cover. I won't even go to any other location now. Did not go so well for me. First off when I went for my appointment they seemed disorganized and the front desk was a mess. The lady who "checked me in" did not instill confidence. The reason I went to LensCrafters was because of their new machine that can read your prescription instantly instead of, "is this better, is this better, etc." well, the machine must have been unplugged when I went because I left with a bad prescription. It wasn't even close. I ordered the prescription filled at Walmart and sunglasses online for a change. Of course, they didn't work. I contacted the office and they set up another appointment for me, this time I did the manual exam and my prescription was correct this time. Walmart was gracious enough to do my glasses again for no charge. At this time I'm still working with the online people since their short guarantee period had expired. I explained the whole story to LensCrafters headquarters since the store at the Volusia Mall said "sorry" and basically goodbye. They referred me back to the store Manager saying they "might" compensate me for my loss and aggravation. The Manager called and again said "sorry for the inconvenience" but nothing can be done. Sorry doesn't cut it for me. Customer lost here. I went in good faith to LensCrafters, somehow left with a really bad prescription. I was unable to drive with the new glasses not to mention struggle through two trips, one to Seattle, one to Jacksonville. Even the offer of a free future exam or something from customer service (glass cleaner, etc? The would have been enough. If you have a choice, don't go here. read more
