We decided to get a quick New Year's Eve dinner here. Bangers & mash was my choice and it was so good. Maybe could've done without the diced carrots, but who even cares when the mash is this amazing? There's an excellent Irish whiskey selection - usual fare like Jamo and Tully, plus good stuff like Fighting 69th and Keeper's Heart. Lisa even let me investigate a couple of the bottles I had never heard of - bonus points! Ambience is everything you want from an Irish pub that also has a kitchen. Cozy, good music, extra friendly staff. This will be our go-to whenever we're in town from now on. **Big note: it's cash only but there's an ATM on site! read more

From the minute, we walked in to the minute we left everything was absolutely 10 stars. Would not have guessed a small local community bar could have such such exceptional food. This is definitely worth the drive out. It's beautiful on the way out, a great meal, very warm and inviting atmosphere.Exceptional prices. Definitely will be back. read more

2 Gingers Inn - Wall art - Irish Pub Near Me - Jamestown, New York

I was in Jamestown for a meeting. I needed a lunch place for 20. 2 Gingers Inn was the perfect spot. Very accommodating staff, great food and service. I highly recommended ! read more

Everybody we know is talking about the 2 Ginegers Inn Reuben Sandwich. Well it's a satisfyingly large eat served with restaurant made chips. (Tater wedges for an up charge.) Service was attentive and caring. The menu is expansive and way more than the sandwich we came for. Full bar with Irish specialties. Bar is tastefully decorated with memorabilia celebrating the bar's previous history as a grocery store and then a bar operated representing two different generations of the Cuoco family. Now with a new family ownership, 2 Gingers is worth the stop located a bit out of the main part of town, but just a block from Jamestown Community College and Russ Diethrick Baseball Park. read more

Decided to stop in during a trip to see the Comedy Museum and Lucy Museum. It was a charming pub with very hospitable service. We got the fish fry and a vegetarian meat pie. Both were incredible. Drinks were well made and the whiskey selection was great for a small pub. Absolutely will go back if we're in the area again. It is Cash Only, but the ATM in the pub made that an easy fix. read more

This is one of my all time favorite places for Irish food, st paddy's day, and football on Sundays. They did an amazing remodle inside. It's a great authentic Irish pub. Very clean and friendly! They're also 21 and up only Thank God! The owners and staff are all wonderful people. Amazing bartenders, mixed drinks, Irish whisky selection, selection of other alcohol, and Irish beers on tap. I highly recommend the food! A list of things I can't say enough good things about are: homemade Irish Guinness stew with puff pastry, upside down Guinness stew on potatoes, steak dinner, Irish Ruben, battle of the buldge burger, potato wedges, black and bleu medium wings, lobster Ruben, chicken fingers, and their imported bangers and mash. Their prices are on the higher side, but it's worth every penny because it's all either imported or house made. Everything is absolutely delicious. They genuinely make everything in house so it can be a little wait on food, but once again, this isn't fast food, it's absolutely amazing and worth the wait. Cash only with an atm inside with only a $2 charge to use. read more

What an amazing little Irish pub! The atmosphere is fun. Really easy to engage in conversation and laughs with the staff. (Shampoo, Shubaru, Pert, (inventor of the widgets on the 737) hope the wedding was fun!) Another customer had a dish that had puff pastry on top and that looked delicious. If it weren't for ordering the unctuous Ruben and six perfectly fried chicken wings, I would have ordered that. Being from the Buffalo region, it may be a minute or two before I come back, but I definitely! You'll immediately fall in love with Roxy too (iykyk)!! Thanks for a great meal! read more

Excellent bar tender who knows her stuff and who you want to come back to hear her stories. This is a beautiful Irish pub. It's well appointed and feels legit like an Irish pub. Hi Isabell! You rock! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing! We so loved loved the ruben! We got the lobster ruben (though it's really langostine) but still amazing. Bread, not soggy and so homemade hug feeling. Sauce not overbearing but scrumptious. Langostine, delicate and sweet. Cheese--all over the place and perfect!!!!! We can't wait to back! read more

Went in on St. Patrick's Day at 9AM and was thrilled to see an Irish breakfast ( gotta build a base on this holy day of obligation). GREAT staff! Cozy, friendly atmosphere. The food was incredible and the service was excellent. Super friendly. We'll definitely be back! The cottage pie is a must-try!

We had the Ruben bites and the Cottage Inn Pie. Both were superb! The Ruben bites were very tasty and the house made 1000 Island dressing was most delicious! Will definitely recommend and plan to come back when in the area. read more

21+ pub, on the corner near JCC into falconer. Great selection of gluten free options. Ms. Roxy (Dalmatian) will greet you, and see you safely to your table! Tastes like something from the Isles, right here in Jamestown NY. Stop in on a snowy day for a crock of stew! read more

STOP here! This place is unbelievable. We had Pirates Ball, leprechaun balls, candy pork belly, Ruben Rolls and Guinness stew. Holy cow! We've been all over the world and all of United States and this is some of the best Irish food we've ever had. Small place. It is a huge gym in Jamestown and the area. If you ever want to try some elevated food at a local pub you really need to see this. Talk about local gem! Incredible service, great atmosphere, welcoming environment. If you're looking for truly good food, you have to stop here ! read more

Probably the best Shepherd's Pie we have ever eaten, both in the USA and abroad. Discovered Blue Barn cider on tap - loved it. Bartender was a really nice person. Highly recommend read more

My wife and I travel most of the year, we see the good, the bad, the ugly when it comes to restaurants. The 2 Gingers Inn is something special. Located in a neighborhood, it's definitely a locals bar. To those that eat out 100+ times a year, it is a delight. To those that travel most of the year - it is a gift. The food is incredible, the staff is delightful - special shout out to Matt (or Lin -Manuel) ((we won't tell)). But the opportunity to interact with people that hang out there on the daily - absolutely amazing!!! The chef is incredibly gifted, the menu is beautifully curated! If you're reading this review - MAKE THE DAMN TRIP!! read more

Burger and wings were AMAZING! Would for sure recommend this place! Guinness was poured properly.

Great service and delicious food! I had the veggie pie which was flavorful and the perfect upscale comfort. The cheesecake at the end of the night was also delicious. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

Ok, that was weird. The food's good. Beer is good. Service is good. BUT, they only take cash, so be prepared. That said, it's a friendly place, tiny, catering to, we think, a very local clientele. We arrived around 5:30 pm the day of the eclipse. They had had a banner day the day before, so were out of certain menu items, the wine I wanted, and the beer my husband wanted. We recalibrated and we sipped our Harp lagers while waiting for our Brie en croute (quite nice). Eventually the brie arrived and we enjoyed it. We waited some more and my husband's rib eye arrived but my cod and langoustines were nowhere to be found. My husband is midwestern and polite so wasn't going to even sample his steak until I was served. Eventually the bartender came by to apologize--apparently an oven malfunctioned and my dinner was in progress. Meanwhile, he offered us some fried cheese curds with homemade ranch to tide us over. They were quite good. Eventually my dinner arrived and we tucked in. Steak perfectly cooked and delicious even though cold. Cod and langoustines also tasty though I think I would have enjoyed the steak more. Bartender dropped by again to apologize and present the check asking if we lived in town. We said no, just here for the eclipse. We traded eclipse quips and I discovered they didn't take plastic. They have an atm--$2 service fee so not too bad, but would have been happier to know sooner. On the whole, a tasty meal and friendly service, but just a bit odd evening. If we are in the area again, I'd want to try it again, just to see if we could attribute all the weirdness to the eclipse or if it's just like that. read more

THE WORST RUEBIN EVER. Sloppy lets make it better with more FREAKING MAYO. Took everything in me not to throw up after the first bite.

A small charming modern Irish pub and restaurant with nods to the past and present. The owner/chef is gluten intolerant so many GF options, including the soda bread served with a Guiness infused dipping sauce! Authentic Irish fare. We enjoyed their unique veggie soup and potato appetizer (forgot the name). Menu changes over time. Quiet at lunch time if you're not into a bar scene. Staff is friendly and helpful since the menu isn't always descriptive enough. Will be returning soon! read more

The food was outstanding. It's rare to see such a traditional Irish menu, and this place does it so well! I'm not typically a fan of Reuben's, but this place has the best I've ever had and would definitely get again! The interior is small but great atmosphere with Irish music and darts. Beautiful bar with a huge selection. The bartender was so attentive and friendly. 10/10 recommend! read more

Just finished eating there and my girlfriend and I both decided we would never go back. I give it one star because the bartender knew how to pour a Guinness. It started off with our party of four ordering the Ruben. Then the bartender came back about 5 minutes later letting us know that they were out of marble bread, so no Rubens. The Ruben is what we all came down there to eat. it's 2 Gingers marquee item (and one of the best Rubens I have ever had). It was at that point we should have just left, but we stayed and ordered. Waiting for our food we notice the 2 bar owners leave, so my question is why one of them just didn't go out to purchase some marble bread. So, we ordered 2 of the "Battle of the Bulge" burgers (only to be told after about 5 minutes that there was only enough burger meat for one burger). So now the order is now the Burger, a Steak Salad, order of Med breaded wings and the Ruben bits. Now the "Battle of the Bulge" burger was about the size of the $5 meal Wendy's burger, true; the Steak Salad contained very little lettuce and had over cooked steak (we were there the week ago and the same Steak Salad was ordered and it was so big that my friend's wife had a hard time finishing it); and the wings were hot, not med and to correct it, the wings were re-shook in butter, which any real cook would know did reduce the heat but just made the wings butter wings (I had not eaten most of the day, so I ate them). I dropped $115 which included the tip. Never again... read more
