Decided to stop in during a trip to see the Comedy Museum and Lucy Museum. It was a charming pub with very hospitable service. We got the fish fry and a vegetarian meat pie. Both were incredible. Drinks were well made and the whiskey selection was great for a small pub. Absolutely will go back if we're in the area again. It is Cash Only, but the ATM in the pub made that an easy fix. read more

Everybody we know is talking about the 2 Ginegers Inn Reuben Sandwich. Well it's a satisfyingly large eat served with restaurant made chips. (Tater wedges for an up charge.) Service was attentive and caring. The menu is expansive and way more than the sandwich we came for. Full bar with Irish specialties. Bar is tastefully decorated with memorabilia celebrating the bar's previous history as a grocery store and then a bar operated representing two different generations of the Cuoco family. Now with a new family ownership, 2 Gingers is worth the stop located a bit out of the main part of town, but just a block from Jamestown Community College and Russ Diethrick Baseball Park. read more

This is one of my all time favorite places for Irish food, st paddy's day, and football on Sundays. They did an amazing remodle inside. It's a great authentic Irish pub. Very clean and friendly! They're also 21 and up only Thank God! The owners and staff are all wonderful people. Amazing bartenders, mixed drinks, Irish whisky selection, selection of other alcohol, and Irish beers on tap. I highly recommend the food! A list of things I can't say enough good things about are: homemade Irish Guinness stew with puff pastry, upside down Guinness stew on potatoes, steak dinner, Irish Ruben, battle of the buldge burger, potato wedges, black and bleu medium wings, lobster Ruben, chicken fingers, and their imported bangers and mash. Their prices are on the higher side, but it's worth every penny because it's all either imported or house made. Everything is absolutely delicious. They genuinely make everything in house so it can be a little wait on food, but once again, this isn't fast food, it's absolutely amazing and worth the wait. What an amazing little Irish pub! The atmosphere is fun. Really easy to engage in conversation and laughs with the staff. (Shampoo, Shubaru, Pert, (inventor of the widgets on the 737) hope the wedding was fun!) Another customer had a dish that had puff pastry on top and that looked delicious. STOP here! This place is unbelievable. We had Pirates Ball, leprechaun balls, candy pork belly, Ruben Rolls and Guinness stew. Holy cow! We've been all over the world and all of United States and this is some of the best Irish food we've ever had. Small place. It is a huge gym in Jamestown and the area. Located in a neighborhood, it's definitely a locals bar. To those that eat out 100+ times a year, it is a delight. To those that travel most of the year - it is a gift. Ok, that was weird. The food's good. Beer is good. Service is good. BUT, they only take cash, so be prepared. That said, it's a friendly place, tiny, catering to, we think, a very local clientele. We arrived around 5:30 pm the day of the eclipse. They had had a banner day the day before, so were out of certain menu items, the wine I wanted, and the beer my husband wanted. We recalibrated and we sipped our Harp lagers while waiting for our Brie en croute (quite nice). Eventually the brie arrived and we enjoyed it. We waited some more and my husband's rib eye arrived but my cod and langoustines were nowhere to be found. My husband is midwestern and polite so wasn't going to even sample his steak until I was served. Eventually the bartender came by to apologize--apparently an oven malfunctioned and my dinner was in progress. Meanwhile, he offered us some fried cheese curds with homemade ranch to tide us over. They were quite good. Eventually my dinner arrived and we tucked in. Steak perfectly cooked and delicious even though cold. Cod and langoustines also tasty though I think I would have enjoyed the steak more. Bartender dropped by again to apologize and present the check asking if we lived in town. We said no, just here for the eclipse. We traded eclipse quips and I discovered they didn't take plastic. They have an atm--$2 service fee so not too bad, but would have been happier to know sooner. On the whole, a tasty meal and friendly service, but just a bit odd evening. If we are in the area again, I'd want to try it again, just to see if we could attribute all the weirdness to the eclipse or if it's just like that. read more

The owner/chef is gluten intolerant so many GF options, including the soda bread served with a Guiness infused dipping sauce! Authentic Irish fare. Just finished eating there and my girlfriend and I both decided we would never go back. I give it one star because the bartender knew how to pour a Guinness. It started off with our party of four ordering the Ruben. Then the bartender came back about 5 minutes later letting us know that they were out of marble bread, so no Rubens. The Ruben is what we all came down there to eat. it's 2 Gingers marquee item (and one of the best Rubens I have ever had). It was at that point we should have just left, but we stayed and ordered. Waiting for our food we notice the 2 bar owners leave, so my question is why one of them just didn't go out to purchase some marble bread. So, we ordered 2 of the "Battle of the Bulge" burgers (only to be told after about 5 minutes that there was only enough burger meat for one burger). So now the order is now the Burger, a Steak Salad, order of Med breaded wings and the Ruben bits. Now the "Battle of the Bulge" burger was about the size of the $5 meal Wendy's burger, true; the Steak Salad contained very little lettuce and had over cooked steak (we were there the week ago and the same Steak Salad was ordered and it was so big that my friend's wife had a hard time finishing it); and the wings were hot, not med and to correct it, the wings were re-shook in butter, which any real cook would know did reduce the heat but just made the wings butter wings (I had not eaten most of the day, so I ate them).
