Lived in Jamestown until 73 and got to come back to visit. The server was great, nostalgic place to eat. Breakfast was homemade and tasty. I was a tourist visiting the Lucy and Desi Museum who stopped by for a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. I got there just before they were ready to close but Patti attended to me with the most welcoming and kind service. We got to know each other a bit and she told me her story of how she had been working there for over 20 years and was now the owner with her husband. I enjoyed hearing her success story and could tell that everything that comes out of her kitchen is made with love and pride in what she does. Upon leaving, I wanted to pay the bill with my debit card not knowing that they are a cash only business. Patti insisted that my bill was on the house! I could have deducted cash from an ATM that was there but she insisted it was her pleasure to pick up my tab. I was so grateful and absolutely thrilled to have happened upon this gem of a place with the nicest owner and the best coffee and bagel in town. We are always looking for the locally owned restaurants. The hotel manager recommended Lisciandro's Restaurant for breakfast and it was wonderful. This restaurant has been around since 1954. The current owners have owned it for two years. But she shared that she has worked there for thirty years. That is usually always a great sign that the food is good. They did not disappoint. I am very picky on how my eggs are cooked and they were perfect. The corned beef hash was delicious and our coffee was never empty. My boyfriend picked a few different things and the owner was very willing to accommodate him. The blue berry pancake was delicious. She told us that they get the blueberries locally which is always great to hear!! The place was cute and welcoming even with the bright pink booths and counter stools. Definitely a place we will go back to. We loved the red stapler on the counter...if you know you know! We highly recommend this locally owned restaurant. read more

I enjoyed the lingering Mid-Century style, however, the ambiance is totally ruined by three large photographs of kids with food smeared all over their faces. I would totally recommend this place simply because it seems it is a local staple. We were in Jamestown for the weekend and stopped for breakfast. We have never laughed so hard at the banter between the cook, waitress and "regulars". For being outsiders it was an awesome environment and you felt like you were at home. The cook couldn't hear the waitress and at one point the cook pointed at a guy at the counter and told him to go sit with his friend because he couldn't hear. Definitely a local spot - a Jamestown favorite - but absolutely FILTHY! Sitting at the counter I could see the grime and overall lack of care of this once-great luncheonette. Due to Covid-19, there was caution tape over much of the counter - fitting for what could be the scene of yet another health disaster should a deep clean not take place soon. The food was mediocre at best - and the french fries looked as though the oil had not been changed in the fryer for months (or longer). Friendly staff, yes. But at what cost. It could be charming - but it is in desperate need of help. Sad. read more

Very nice place to grab a late-morning breakfast. The place is on the quiet side, which is not too common when it comes to breakfast restaurants. Our waitress was very kind. The menu had a large variety of meals to choose from. I loved my meal, except I forgot what I ordered (I'm posting this about 2 months after my first visit), but I WILL be back! I forgot if they only accept cash or not, so call ahead of time. The coffee is good too :D There should be enough street parking near the restaurant, plus it's less than a block away from a public parking lot. read more
