Me and my friend were very disappointed with our meal tonight we got the fish basket and the fish nuggets were extremely dry almost like they were frozen and dropped in the oil and the french fries were practically burnt they were so dry very dark.... So I don't think I'll be returning there.. I had a meal in the past that was great but tonight was very unsatisfactory and I was quite disappointed and I spent a good amount of money on my overall order hot dogs were fine but can't screw up hot dogs.. chowder was tasty. read more

We. Loved. This. Place. First of all - it's located in an old train station - how cool is that?! The atmosphere was nothing fancy - but it is decorated in railroad paraphernalia including old pictures of the station when it was in use. The actual restaurant is on the small side, but we were able to find ourselves a table and we greeted by the friendliest server we've had in ages! Our server kept us in good spirits and well stocked with drink refills etc. the whole time - we really felt the hometown vibe of this place! We of course went for hearty breakfast selections which were great! If we were in town for another day, we would've been back for another meal! One of the best experiences of our vacation! read more

Small, diner-style restaurants are kinda awesome and this place is no exception. It's a lively seat-yourself kind of place. There's a huge board of specials on your way in. Pay attention to the big board, like you're the Russian ambassador in Dr. Strangelove. I had the Baggage Car; a wonderful mess of a sub with steak, onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese. Dining companion had the Elk Burger (which was on the board!) and enjoyed it. Observed the Chicken and Biscuits going by which looked ridiculous(ly good) as well as several fish fry plates that are an absolute staple around here. This is a tiny little place - I had seen it a few times. The first time we passed it I wasn't even sure it was definitely a restaurant. Finally stopped in a few weeks ago. It's definitely a diner atmosphere. We had lunch there and there were very few open tables. Before I go on, let me mention that the service was WONDERFUL! My daughter had the french onion soup. It was decadent, heavily flavored, and gooey with wonderful melted cheese. Hubby and I had the special steak sandwiches. Super yummy. I usually have a salad for lunch and this exception was 100% worth the deviation from my typical meal. Dripping with cheese and onions and peppers and . . . well, you get the picture. I can't wait to go back. I have seriously been craving that sandwich for the past two weeks. Totally out of the norm for me. Sandwiches usually don't give me much of a thrill. ;) read more

. It's small but cozy, clean, with rather good food, a friendly local feeling about it without any of the chain restaurant type of atmosphere. The only drawback to it is that the parking lot is dirt (some may say gravel) so your car can get rather dusty. read more

Outstanding! Been looking for a good breakfast for the past 3 days and have to say I couldn't have been more pleased with our meals. My wife had eggs and hash browns and I went for the biscuits and gravy. SO GOOD. The homemade sausage gravy was very flavorful, not the bland, tasteless gravy found in chains. Eggs cooked perfect! The atmosphere is of a long running hometown diner, well worn floors, and shabby, but comfortable and friendly. Headed back to Indy tomorrow but can guarantee I'll stop here first before hitting the road. read more

Not much to look at but they do have a great breakfast with a better price try the eggs Benedict for just a little over five dollars for the Greek omelette for the same there maybe 20 tables inside it's a nice warm atmosphere friendly people friendly staff and prices . I love this place, family owned. Really fast service and the servers are great cant wait to go back!

It was suggested I try based on their home cooked meals. The problem is obviously the suggester has no idea what a good home cooked meal tastes like. The majority of my meal was inedible. I ordered the fried chicken which tasted like it had been fried long & hard a couple of days prior. My colleagues' meat loaf looked frighteningly grey - and I was told tasted like it. Not from this area, but if I were, I'd eat here all the time. Amazing service: friendly, generous, attentive and goes the extra mile. The food was relatively simple but a nice range. The fried chicken was crispy in the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The Cajun chicken breast was really good too. Would definitely recommend. read more
