WARNING: OVER $300 IN CLOTHING DAMAGED -- LONGTIME CUSTOMER BETRAYED I've been using this cleaner for years, but after my latest experience, I will never return. They damaged six of my garments, causing over $300 in total losses. One of my linen shirts came back with a large, visible hole in the sleeve -- and I have photo proof. What's worse is the complete lack of accountability. I expected better from a business I've supported for so long. Instead, I was met with excuses and no real attempt to fix the situation. If they could do this to a longtime, loyal customer -- they can do it to anyone. DO NOT trust them with your clothes. If ownership reaches out and fully compensates me, I am willing to update or remove this review. But until then, this warning stays. read more

I dropped off something to be hemmed I picked it up and put it on the day I had to go out it was not tailored at all scary place

Generally $2.50 are good cleaners and pretty reliable, but their alterations service is pricey and not as good as the price would indicate. $20 dollars to shorten coat sleeves and in the end I had to take the coat to another Tailor to have it shortened correctly. Very disappointing. read more

0 stars They are the WORST cleaners in area. They use cheap stuff and over process your items.. Ruined 3 shirts of mine read more

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING THIS PLACE, READ MY REVIEW AND THEN DECIDE. IF THERE WERE A "ZERO" STAR, THAT'S WHAT THEY'D GET. I wear all black scrub pants which are cotton and spandex, and 100% SOFT pima-cotton (thick) tops. I work in the medical field and I have tried many times to reasonably and professionally explain that the front item is done and ALL of the ones behind it are either terrible, e.g.: not clean looking or not ironed at all! (I RARELY get anything on my tops, because I mostly eat wraps, but occasionally there is something on the front of a shirt, like a drop of my vegan lifestyle's tahini sauce here or there. I'll prewipe if off but, REST ASSURED, CRUST WILL STILL BE ON THERE WHEN PICKED UP BECAUSE I DON'T THINK THEY CLEAN YOUR ITEMS!) My clothes come back dirty, unironed, full of lint and hair, at one point with pins through the neck that made holes in ALL of my work shirts; which, after showing them, they stopped doing that one thing and now staple my # tag to the inside tag of the shirt, which is ok. As a person who lives in pain every day and works full time, I pay for this service so on the weekends, it is one less thing I have to do. ~Not this weekend! I just unveiled my clothes and left them a voicemail that they do not need to call me back and I am never returning. I have tried numerous times to patiently, (which takes a lot when you say the same thing to the owners' on several different occasions) politely, and professionally communicate on the phone and in writing, what the issues are above, and this is the lasssst time they get it wrong! --- I'll pay more elsewhere and have it done RIGHT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR $! ---- IF YOU GO THERE, CHECK EVERY ITEM BEFORE YOU LEAVE! MY STUFF WAS DROPPED OFF FRIDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE 2 PM, PICKED UP AT 3PM YESTERDAY, HUNG UP IN THE CAR AND IMMEDIATELY AND IMMEDIATELY THEREAFTER HUNG UP ON OUR BEDROOM DOOR ON A RACK THAT FACES OUTWARD. I WISH I COULD POST THE PICTURES! read more

Strongly encourage you to NEVER use this cleaner or tailor. Horrible quality and even worse customer service. Owner is horrible and doesn't stand by his work. read more

I brought a ladies shirt in to have it laundered. When I went to pick it up instead of paying 99 cents I was charged $2.50 . When I asked why, I was told it was dry cleaned. The shirt states Do Not Dry Clean . The owner told me he knows better the the manufacturer how to clean. I told him that the shirt is ruined. He became denfensive and irate . Started yelling and screaming when I said he had to replace my shirt. He said he would and I should come back at a specific day. I went back to a totolly lost cause. It's not very nice to yell and berate a lady in your place of business. Stay away. These are bad people. read more

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for here. $2.50 will get your collars curled up and clothes still dirty. Too many times have my clothes come back to me unclean yet pressed. I've pointed out these issues but still no improvement. They excuse themselves by saying they have a high volume of clothes to do and are very busy. They will take your item back to do over but will hold it hostage another 3 or 4 days. That's not fair. I recently paid extra for "special treatment" because I asked for a few lint balls to be removed off a sweater. Fine. I picked up the sweater. Would you know the lint balls were still on it. Really? Perhaps communication is lacking. The front desk and the individuals doing the cleaning are not on the same page. One thing is for sure. The consumer should pay $2.50 to get a clean pressed item with no regrets. read more

Terrible service ... always a wait cause everyone and their mother goes there cause it's 2.50... always messing up clothes and never offer a thing cause they know u will go back . Not this time .. I'd rather pay up for better service right down the block . read more

I used these cleaners starting in June. Every other week I would drop off a batch of my husband's shirts to be laundered. Zero problems until last month. Four out of the four dark blue shirts came back splattered with what looks like white paint. All over the shirts, inside and out. I went in to show them to them, an older man told me he didn't do it, my husband must have gotten sprayed by white out. Seriously? On four different days my husband was sprayed by white out, inside and out on his dark shirts, and never noticed? The owner said he washes 700 shirts each day, and I'm the only one complaining. read more

A more accurate rating would be -5. They are the worst cleaning services in this area. I don't believe that they have ever heard of customer service. Completely ruined my white jacket. A very expensive jacket, now has yellow stains all over it. I will be seeking what legal avenues are available to me to try and recoup the cost of my jacket. The supposed owner was very rude and disrespectful. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THEM AGAIN. Hopefully this review will discourage others from going there. read more

Purchased new drapes 2 panels and 1 valance with 2 small tie backs for the living room at Boscov's on 7/5/19. Wanted them professional pressed and to use the sheers I had 2 panels in perfect condition but wanted them refreshed. That was it. I took them to 2.50 Cleaners in W. Long Branch, NJ and he charged $38.50. He said pick up Wed. 7/10 and I said can you make it 7/9 afternoon. He said yes. When I arrived the sheers were in the rack but the drapes were in the bin. What I object to is that his wife said these are not done and he signaled just give it to her. She threw some cellophane over them indicating they were ready but just not packaged. I paid the bill. When I took it home I was sheers were damaged with black ink in dots on the very top and the drapes not pressed. I took cell phone photos. I tried to fix things myself as I did not want to prolong this matter. I called him to tell him the condition of the items I picked up. He did say return for him to see. I said I am 73 years old and don't want to drag these items that were unwrapped and heavy back to the store. He said he wanted to see so I printed the cell phone photos today and brought them to him. He was furious, yelling in the store that no one had ever talked to him this way (I called because I reported the bad work done and felt that I should as I did pay him what he asked.) I am being harassed. Why would I carry all the heavy items back and forth when his workmanship was as bad as could be and not keeping his word. I said I was not spending more time on this and he was still making a scene stating he has 9000 customers, in business 12 years and never had a problem blaming me; this is a setup in this area. On Yelp he has had bad reviews. I would never use this cleaners again but he was threatening me making me out to be the problem (he did bad work I had to call and was polite) when he was the problem for not even doing the work which I paid for. Disgraceful abuse. He mentioned religion when I first brought the items to his store. His actions today seem counter to any such mention. I have pictures and proofs of new items and of sheers prior to going to 2.50 cleaners in W. Long Branch. read more

This is the "go to cleaners" for WLB. They do a good job, the family is very friendly, and the prices are very good. And if you need a button fixed or a hem sewed, they can also handle that. read more

If I could give it no stars I would. Brought a comforter in on Tuesday . Told him I needed it for Thursday . He said pick it up late in the day. I prepaid. My husband picked it up on Thursday at 6:30. He said it doesn't look like you cleaned it. He told him that he put it in all kinds of machines. He charged my husband again. It came home uncleared. Never did they even attempt to clean it. Horrible. The worst service and they are thieves. read more

Clothes may look nice on the hanger, but shirts come back dirty and smelly. I don't think there is any actual cleaning happening here.

I dropped of my size 2 pants and when I went to pick them up they handed me somebody else's size 42 pants. I tried to return them but they insisted it was mine. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Clearly it wasn't mine and they never returned the ones that I gave them. read more

I was using them for a while and never had a problem. Unfortunately, I went to pick up my last dry cleaning and when I arrived my order wasn't ready. It had a Monday pick on the ticket, and I was there on a Tuesday (1 day later). They scrambled around trying to find my order. Bringing items of clothing asking if they were mine. They finally got everything together except for a white Nautica shirt that I had just bought for my son for his graduation. After 30 minutes of searching, they could not locate it and the man at the counter got hostile when I asked him if it might have inadvertently gone to another customer by mistake. I left there almost in tears. The man was rude and disrespectful. A total lack of customer service. You lose an item and take it out on the customer. I called back a few days later and spoke to a woman who asked that I give them two weeks and if in two weeks they didn't locate it, they would make good on the shirt. I never got a call back. My experience with the man was so traumatic that I just can't bring myself to call or go back there. What steams me is that they make you pay upfront for the cleaning. So not only did I not get back my shirt, but I paid for the cleaning of it for someone else. Never, Never, Ever again!! Plus, I will not go to a cleaners that makes me pay upfront, ever. Avoid this place like the plague. They're nice until they lose your stuff. Years of being a customer doesn't count for anything to these people. read more
