Peter and Chris are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They are never to busy to treat you like a person. I can tell by the amount of volume in their shop they are EXTREMELY BUSY. Before going to Ace French dry cleaners, I went to several other cleaners closer to my residence, but unfortunately, no one could Steam the dress the same day. Peter and his family took it upon themselves to stop everything they were doing and steam the dress for me on the spot without question, even though I was never a customer there before. While waiting for the dress, I had the opportunity to observe how they treat their customer , and it makes me so happy to know that there are still family operated businesses out there that care not only about the work they do but the people who bring them business. Extremely Disappointed--Stay Away!…read more I came to Liberty Cleaners because a friend recommended them for light hemming and cleaning. Honestly, I think most of their positive reviews must come from friends and family, because this place is completely unprofessional. I dropped off my items and was told to pick them up Saturday. I never imagined that meant two weeks later on a Sunday! Summer is only eight weeks long--who waits two weeks for simple alterations? It was my first time there, and I was a good customer with a $150 bill, but I will never go back. Their timeline is absolutely crazy and not worth it. I live 15 minutes away, and the woman there seemed to think I should just keep driving back and forth like it's no big deal. It's not worth the aggravation, the frustration, or the wasted time. They've lost a customer who could have been loyal. Save yourself the headache--go somewhere reliable that respects your time.

They said it would be ready this Thursday 3 days away. I thought that would be great. I arrived Friday, 4 days from the drop off. A day after they said it would be available. When I arrived it took them a while to find my suit, at which point one woman said, oh it has a big stain (it didn't) and she was just about to clean it. Seeing the disappointment on my face she said, you really should give us more time, drop your clothes off before you need them. Their timing was wrong, they didn't deliver, and they were condescending about it. Also $28 seems high. Sorry to bother you with my business. I won't bother you again.

After over 10…read moreyears of loyalty to a dry cleaner in Sayreville, I was disappointed when they recently refused two simple alteration requests: one to sew down the pockets of a fleece hoodie, and another to hem the edges of a blanket that was fraying. Both times, they flat-out said no. I decided to take a chance and visited Magic Cleaners in Matawan -- and I'm so glad I did. I walked in with the blanket and was greeted by a woman who was sweet, efficient, and clearly knew her craft. She inspected the blanket and immediately agreed to hem it, no fuss. I wasn't looking for anything fancy -- just a clean finish to keep it from unraveling. I told her there was no rush, but she had it ready in under a week. Not only was the work immaculately done, but she charged me just $25. I even offered to pay more because the quality was honestly beyond what I expected -- but she politely declined, saying she was just happy to gain a new customer. Well, she absolutely did. I'll now happily go out of my way to drive to Matawan just because of the amazing service I received here. Thank you again -- I'll definitely be back soon!

Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to resolve the issue, the woman working there immediately got defensive, raised her voice at me, and told me to "check my house," as if I don't know what condition my own clothing was in when I brought it in. She did a bare minimum, one-second glance in the back, claimed she didn't see anything, and promised to call me before closing. Of course, she never called. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service is unbelievable. If you value your clothes -- especially anything designer or expensive -- do NOT bring them here. Absolutely terrible experience.
