I came to this location to get a dress hemmed, a couple of inches off of the bottom. The dress had…read moretwo layers. A regular polyester top layer with a lace layer underneath so I expected it to be a little more than your average hem. However, this place charged me $300 without telling me before the alteration was done what the cost might look like I will never go here ever again or recommended to anyone. I understand and appreciate hard work but $300 for a hem is absolutely ridiculous. If I had the option to give it zero stars I would.

Let me tell you about this miracle man. I hate strapless dresses with the fire of a thousand suns…read moreand I was a bridesmaid in two weddings this summer, both with strapless dresses. Well... I THOUGHT I hated strapless dresses. The fact is, the right tailor will make anything look good, and he took a style that looks tenty and unflattering on me and made it look fabulous by doing all kinds of wizardry on it (hemming, taking it in, fixing a bent wire in the front and replacing shoddily made hooks)... All at a reasonable price that was way lower than the quote I got from the nightmarish corporate Hellscape that is David's Bridal. Faster turnaround, too! Supporting independent businesses is important, but its even more important when they're good at what they do. Everyone there is super nice and helpful. I recommend them highly to every near-broke, desperate bridesmaid!

The individual working said they would be able to mend it "" no problem ". When I picked up the sweater, the individual working decided to fold the arm in half and sew it completely on top of the other half of the sleeve in order to avoid actually mending the hole basically imagine taking a sleeve folding in in half and then sewing it just in the section where the small hole was basically an arm can't fit through the sleeve any longer because they decided to fold it in half . Complete incompetence. I called and asked them how they would be refunding not only the price I paid but the $300 that the sweater cost to replace. They still haven't returned my calls. Would avoid this place at all cost costs.

The only reason I'm stuck coming here is because it is the closest laundromat to where I live,…read moreotherwise I would go somewhere else. Despite the sign that says the door closes at 10pm, they often close much earlier than that. They locked up the door even when I had my clothes running in the machines. The next morning, when I was grabbing my wrinkled clothes, I thought I'd chat a bit with the owner. He was extremely rude and unreasonable, blaming me for not sitting next to the machines to watch my clothes, when his only explanation for closing was that he "felt like closing early." Ironically, even though he was the one in the wrong, he not only did not apologize, but turned around and yelled at me. Otherwise the machines are generally functioning (but sometimes not and I end up wasting all the quarters I put in), ~$5 for wash/dry (not even cheap), and has a quarter changing machine. My review is only for the laundry machines, not the dry cleaning service, but considering how little the owner seems to care about his customers, I would not trust them with my clothes whatsoever.

I came into this establishment with a bridal gown that is unfortunately too small because of baby weight that I am very much trying to lose. I was told prior to this (by three other people) that there were things that could be done to salvage the dress (corset back, letting it out a little, etc.) so when I tried on the dress and was immediately shot down by this woman, I was heartbroken. Instead of giving me constructive advice, she told me that the only thing I could do to make this gown fit is to diet and then had the audacity to ask me if the dress even fit me before I got pregnant? Mind you, I'm only about 10 pounds heavier than I was when I bought the dress. Luckily I found another seamstress/decent human, who was very willing & eager to help me. The dress CAN be salvaged. This woman is just rude and incapable of doing detailed work.
