Had some normal men's shirts to bring in for cleaning also dropped off my wife's sweater, which had a small tiny hole in the sleeve. The individual working said they would be able to mend it "" no problem ". When I picked up the sweater, the individual working decided to fold the arm in half and sew it completely on top of the other half of the sleeve in order to avoid actually mending the hole basically imagine taking a sleeve folding in in half and then sewing it just in the section where the small hole was basically an arm can't fit through the sleeve any longer because they decided to fold it in half . Complete incompetence. I called and asked them how they would be refunding not only the price I paid but the $300 that the sweater cost to replace. They still haven't returned my calls. Would avoid this place at all cost costs. read more

This place literally ruined my "second" wedding dress a week before my wedding. I called in advance, asking if they were able to take in my dress and hem the bottom, not knowing if their services would be advanced enough to take in a dress. I reiterated to them this was my wedding dress I was changing into, and that if they weren't able to do this to please let me know since it's such an important dress. They said they were absolutely able to do it. When I brought the dress in, a man haphazardly took pins to my dress without properly measuring me. When I went to pick the dress up, the dress had been sewn improperly, just folding over the dress rather than actually taking it in. The dress was several sizes smaller than me due to the lack of true measuring beforehand, and that's saying a lot considering I am a 4'11 83lb person. The dress wouldn't have fit most children once they butchered it. To add to that, the hem job they did had stray strands all over the bottom. They first attempted to argue with me over the job, telling me it was fine. They then let me know that they don't actually do the tailoring - they send it out to someone. They wanted to send it back out and I said absolutely not. There was no way I could trust whoever they outsource after the work previously done. This was a WEEK before my wedding and I was left with no dress because of them. To make matters worse, they ripped the stitching near the zipper of the dress. the woman at the front desk screamed at me about it with my child present, claiming I ripped the zipper from trying on the dress. She still charged me $80 for the hem, even though the dress could not be worn. Places like this are deceitful. Had they just told me that's not something they were capable of doing, I would have looked elsewhere and never had to write this review. They were absolutely awful. Find somewhere else for any tailoring work. read more

Ruined my RRL sweater and claimed ignorance because they did not mess up the rest of the clothes dropped off. Zero accountability, and when I asked for advice on how to fix (myself, not wanting them to do anything else), they claimed nothing could be done and nothing happened in the first place - as if I dropped off a sweater 3 sizes too small that was pre-ruined. I've gone here for ~8 years and there must be new owners because I did not recognize the staff during drop off or pickup, and I have only had excellent experiences in the past. Looking into reviews, I feel confident that is the case. This became more apparent when recent comments from the owners appears on 10+ year old reviews thanking the review. Must be new employees/ mgmnt. Been going here for 15 years, this month they lost my 2 dropoffs, and told me I already picked them up, ticket was closed out. Mr. Flashy Gordon continued to me, "No, Papi! We gave you the order." Then, after 15 mins of back and forth, I informed him, my shirts were hanging on the rack right there. Which he continued, "No Papi! Thats because you said dry clean." Which all my belongings had no tags or name on them. I wouldn't use this place again​ if I needed socks clean. read more

AVOID! Given one last chance to improve, and they still can't make a single crease. Nothing but rude excuses from the front desk employee. ------- This place has really tanked since the new owners have taken over. Pants consistently come back with 2-4 creases in them. I've pointed this out multiple times and have asked for a single crease. This shouldn't be asking too much of a top-dollar dry cleaner. I'm giving Spruce Cleaners one more chance to improve their dry cleaning game to the one-crease standard or I'll have to take my business elsewhere after many years of patronage. I brought in a skirt that needed a new elastic waistband plus it needed to be shortened one inch. I know that it is possible to do it at the waist as I used to sew (I no longer have a machine to do it myself). I explained this to the women in the store. The woman from this cleaner called to tell me that they would have to do the hem from the bottom, which meant they would remove one inch from the pretty trim on the skirt. But I agreed to it as I don't wear heals any longer, and I love the skirt. I never complained about the charges she quoted. I went back to pick it up one week later as per agreed and as stated on the ticket. Not only was it not ready, but they didn't even start it. In addition the skirt was not on site (someone took it home to supposedly work on it). They failed to call me to tell me of the delay. I waited until that woman came back to the store with my skirt. The next cleaner was able to replace the waist band and do the one inch shortening at the same time at the waist - not touching the pretty decoration on the bottom of the skirt. It turned out that the price for doing the alterations was the same at both places. I do not understand why their tailor couldn't do this simple task. I only know that I am grateful that they failed to have it done when I got there. That allowed me to take it somewhere else and get it done without altering the pretty design on the bottom of the skirt. First and last time at this place. read more

All 5 suits came back exactly the same, which is a sign of the consistency of his tailoring. The owner even walked with me to my car to help carry the suits out to the car.
