The prices are a slightly higher than some other local competitors, but not drastically so. (Let's face facts - if you're getting dry cleaning done regularly, a couple bucks here and there shouldn't be a deal breaker.) Honestly, I feel it's worth it for the quality of the service and how convenient it is. I have not yet had a problem with anything I have had cleaned, and I usually request next day service - not ONCE have I been turned down. If I am around, I sometimes stop by earlier than the ticket pickup times, and they have always had my clothes ready to go. There always seems to be a line when I go here - probably all the converts from other local places. Try it out - you won't be disappointed.

Before going to Ace French dry cleaners, I went to several other cleaners closer to my residence, but unfortunately, no one could Steam the dress the same day. Peter and his family took it upon themselves to stop everything they were doing and steam the dress for me on the spot without question, even though I was never a customer there before. While waiting for the dress, I had the opportunity to observe how they treat their customer , and it makes me so happy to know that there are still family operated businesses out there that care not only about the work they do but the people who bring them business. After over 10…read moreyears of loyalty to a dry cleaner in Sayreville, I was disappointed when they recently refused two simple alteration requests: one to sew down the pockets of a fleece hoodie, and another to hem the edges of a blanket that was fraying. Both times, they flat-out said no. I decided to take a chance and visited Magic Cleaners in Matawan -- and I'm so glad I did. I walked in with the blanket and was greeted by a woman who was sweet, efficient, and clearly knew her craft. She inspected the blanket and immediately agreed to hem it, no fuss. I wasn't looking for anything fancy -- just a clean finish to keep it from unraveling. I told her there was no rush, but she had it ready in under a week. Not only was the work immaculately done, but she charged me just $25. I even offered to pay more because the quality was honestly beyond what I expected -- but she politely declined, saying she was just happy to gain a new customer. Well, she absolutely did. I'll now happily go out of my way to drive to Matawan just because of the amazing service I received here. Thank you again -- I'll definitely be back soon!

Instead of taking responsibility or even attempting to resolve the issue, the woman working there immediately got defensive, raised her voice at me, and told me to "check my house," as if I don't know what condition my own clothing was in when I brought it in. She did a bare minimum, one-second glance in the back, claimed she didn't see anything, and promised to call me before closing. Of course, she never called. The complete lack of professionalism, accountability, and customer service is unbelievable. If you value your clothes -- especially anything designer or expensive -- do NOT bring them here.
