Awesome people! Ask for Bernard! They do everything they can to help you with your dry cleaning needs.

I've worked for this new owner since march when he took over and never had any issues until January 4, 2023. He allow another employee to come in sick and put everyone else at risk, same employee for the second time since last month, which got me sick both times. He brushed it off and said she wasn't or isn't sick because she didn't have the flu or a fever. I got upset that once again, after finally getting over the cough and congestion I had for 3 wks I have to deal with it all over again because he is careless. On another note I've caught, on several occasions, him overcharging customers. He will charge them for a dry cleaned shirt (which is $7.75 a shirt) and end up laundering it (which costs only $2.75 a shirt). there are more incidents but I don't have that kind of time to go into details. All in all this man doesn't not values his hard workin employees or his customers. read more

3 out of 3 times never came to pick up my clothes and never called to let me know they were not coming. Truly disappointed here. I hope you have a better experience than I did. read more

I am very happy with the staff and results on my clothes. This is a good place to get your shirts done!

This cleaner does a pretty good job every time I have gone in. Been here a few times and I can't really complain about the service or the job they have done. They also have a box outside the place if you want to drop something off when they are not there. The last time I was in they were also advertising for a pick up and delivery service they are doing now in case you pretty much can't find the time to ever go to the dry cleaners. The main reason I like this place is they have better prices for basic dry cleaning then most of the other places in the nearby area. If you bring things in like suits and repairs/stains the prices go up but they will do basic dry cleaning for a good price. I have a lot of shirts and pants that are dry clean only so I hate paying a ton just to get them done. This place makes that possible. Also I once spilled tomato sauce right on a brand new white shirt. brought it in and they got the stain completely out. I was pretty impressed that they saved my shirt. All in all this is now my go to for dry cleaning. read more

Steer clear of this dry cleaners! I had been going to this cleaners for a year or so and unfortunately, they ruined the collars on several of my dress shirts. When I brought them back to let them know, I honestly expected at least a refund of the price of the cleaning - that would be standard fare. A good businessperson would pay me for my shirts; out $25-$50 bucks, but they would have kept my business (which was $100+ a month). Unfortunately, the owner declined to offer me ANYTHING for her error, and instead ended up screaming at me in the store in front of other customers. My favorite line of hers was "I've owned 3 or 4 of these businesses so I know what I'm talking about!" - I replied "It's very obvious why you've owned 3 or 4 businesses - they've failed because you are a HORRIBLE businessperson!". LOL! The treatment by this woman so appalled me I actually went to the BBB and filed a complaint (which Hometown Cleaners stupidly did not respond to). Hilariously, they now have an "F" rating with the BBB, because OTHERS have filed complaints as well - proof is below. (Link to BBB complaint - http://www.bbb.org/new-jersey/business-reviews/dry-cleaners/hometown-cleaners-in-freehold-nj-11007919) Serves her right. I have never been treated that way by a business owner in my life. Sadly, it looks like she treats others poorly too. Right around the corner is Raintree Dry Cleaners - they are slightly more expensive, but the difference in service is night and day! The owner is always friendly and accommodating with pickup times, and always delivers what he promises with a smile. Great tailor too on-site! Trust me - if you use a dry cleaners, something will eventually get ruined, but what the owner does to fix the problem is what makes all the difference. I wish I could give zero stars to this place :/ read more

The service is horrible. They lose everything and do not care about providing effective service. Would not recommend to anyone in this area. I wish I could give a lower star rating because. read more

I've been going to this cleaners since I moved to freehold. I brought in 8 shirts last week to get dry cleaned like I always do. I brought the shirts home and all of them are shrunk. I mention this to Lori the owner and her employees. Lori suggested she blocks my dress shirts since they obviously were shrunk. The blocking worked for 2 of my shirts and the rest were permanently shrunk. I asked her to compensate me for the shirts and she got very hostile. At first she offered to pay me for the shirts, than took that offer back. She said " if your not happy bring me to court". This is the service I received after being a good customer for 5 plus years. I will never be going back to this cleaners. read more

The owner is literally the most unprofessional and disgusting person i have ever met. My sister in law passed away, and they lost my husbands suit. I had to go buy another suit the morning of the funeral! when i called a few days after this happened the lady told me they didn't lose the suit and to never come back again. She said my husband made the girl cry, because he was mad and said you need to find my suit. We waited there for an hour to find the suit and they couldn't find it anywhere!!!! The owner did not apologize she was cursing at me over the phone and saying the F word to me!!! i couldn't believe the horrible things she was saying!!! Will never go back!! all the reviews i see say this woman is horrible read more

The people working here are very friendly and helpful. I needed a garment back by the next day and they accommodated me easily. They do a nice job. Prices are a bit high, though. read more

Extremely disappointing and terrible service. I used Hometown for pick up and delivery service for a few months. The service level was terrible. They would consistently leave stuff out of deliveries. One particular time, they promised to deliver said forgotten items on a Saturday and never did. read more

Solid little dry cleaners close to where I live. Always does a good job on my clothes, and will also do alterations at a fair price. They can even perform one day service if needed as long as you drop off clothes early enough. Hours are normally good and open on weekends including Sundays and even on holidays. They are actually open yesterday, Memorial Day, so I dropped off a bunch of dress shirts to be cleaned that I have been ignoring. It's a family owned little shop, and they always remember my name when I drop in. Personal service is one of those little things that mean a lot. read more

I have gone here a few times and they always have to redo my shirts. The last time I picked them up they looked wore than when I dropped them off. Lint was all over them, wrinkled, and color stains were not treated. Also, They keep a dog in there. I love dogs ans have 1 myself. I also have 3 cats. However, I do not believe a dog should be at the dry cleaners. Some people have allergies. Finding a new place. read more

They keep a dog inside the shop and my clothes came out with dog hair on it multiple times. I spoke with the owner and she simply said i did not have to come back. Not a way to do business. I will take her advice this time! Shame on you! read more

Once again, needed to write and tell all who rely on Yelp to help make decisions, that Hometown Cleaners are fabulous. Always have my stuff on time, everything comes out crispy white and fresh, hard to get out stains are no problem for them. My recent comforter came back good as new. Perfect place to drop off and convenient too with their drop box, also just found out they recycle all of their hangers. Terrific place to do business. read more

Very fast service. Most of staff is nice and I've been using them a few years now. Had alterations done too they did a good job. Recommend this spot for anyone needing a solid place read more

Good laundromat. Does their dry cleaning on premises and generally available next day (vs other laundromats that dry clean through a separate service offsite). read more

If I could give them Zero stars I would. The employees who work there are rude and they are the most unreliable people I have ever had the misfortune to mistakenly rely on. I dropped shirts off to be dry cleaned in advance of an important event. They were scheduled to be ready the night before I needed them. When I went in to get them, the person "helping" me said they weren't ready. When I questioned her she said they are probably downstairs and just haven't been brought up so I can come back tomorrow. I explained the urgency and she just looked at me and said you can come back tomorrow. Well tomorrow was too late so I had to drive to the mall and buy a new shirt. Completely unreliable and rude. Find another dry cleaner - which is what I have to do. read more

I've been using this place for years. The owner is an absolute nightmare. Rude, nasty, threatening texts when bill is not paid on time. Not to mention the shirts and paints they have ruined over the years or lost without credit. Do business elsewhere. read more

Really bad experiences lately. They keep delivering other customer's clothes to me. Makes me concerned they do the same with mine. They are also late in returning my dry cleaning. Perhaps because they send it elsewhere until another customer returns it. Four mistakes in the last 2 months and they aren't returning my calls. I've used them for the last time and will not recommend them to my neighbors. read more
