I cannot begin to report that Durochers had the best salespeople and delivery workers I have ever seen in the appliance business. For starters, saleswoman Kathy C. went out of her way to help me with scheduling my most recent delivery. Even on her day off, she kindly helped me with some questions I asked her about. The delivery and installation men were Superlative. I had the best experience with Justin and Stephen. They were very prompt and gave me updates on when they would arrive, complete with texted maps of where they were in terms of getting to my house. Their installation was very well done, and I contribute that to the attention to detail they had in doing it. They was extremely courteous and respectful. I give Durochers great credit for having delivery and service people like these two young men. Outstanding! I have always been pleased with the appliances, service and delivery at Durochers. In addition when I needed a broken refrigerator shelf replaced the service department was excellent. I actually received the shelf a day after I ordered it. I was also given information on how to get reimbursed by the glass company as the shelf was still under warranty. ( I want to add that I had a $500 gift certificate from Lowes that I could have used, but preferred to deal with Durochers instead. By dealing with them I avoided the aggravation and hassles in dealing with a big box store that I felt could care less about its' customers).

When we closed in April, we noticed that the warming drawer did not close straight or flush and has a gap of about 1/2" at the top. After notifying the builder, we nobody came out to look at it until May 19. The tech that came couldn't fix it but identified that it was installed with the rear higher than the front and that the installers would have to fix it and that he'd order some parts for them (not sure what parts). After nothing for a month, I contacted the person who sold the appliance on Jun 16. He responded that some parts were on order and he'd have to schedule instllers to come out. I asked what was on order and when installers would come out but have recieved no response. I've left multiple voice mails on his phone line and at both the Monroe and Sylvania stores in addition to my email inquiries. All have been ignored. It is now Jul 30 (2-1/2 months) and still nobody has contacted me.

During the visit, he initially told me I would need to order those parts and that it would take two weeks to receive them, but then he said he had both parts in his car and replaced them. After he left, I noticed a lot of moisture on the top shelf of the refrigerator. I contacted the company several times, but they told me this was a different issue and that I would need to pay again for another diagnosis and repair. They had already charged $150 for the initial diagnosis, and later they asked for another $150 for a second diagnosis, saying the refrigerator was working fine when the technician left. I am disappointed that after paying $816 for the repair, the refrigerator still has problems and I am now being asked to pay additional diagnostic fees.

Review for Mr. Appliance - North Central Ohio (Perrysburg location):…read moreI had a very disappointing experience with Mr. Appliance (North Central Ohio - Perrysburg). In July 2025, their technicians misdiagnosed my nearly 20-year-old dryer, assuring me the issue was a faulty coil valve. Based on that confidence, I paid $311. After the repair, the gas smell problem remained, and the techs admitted the diagnosis was wrong. They then suggested another $250 repair, which I declined. The part was removed, and I was told I'd get a refund. Instead, the office only refunded $55 for the part. I explained multiple times that I was willing to pay their $119 diagnostic/service fee, but not for a failed and reversed repair. That means I was asking for a fair refund of $192. With only $55 refunded, I am still out $137 more than is reasonable. Despite repeated calls and even sending a certified letter, I never received a return call from the owner or manager. The BBB confirmed they consider the matter closed with only the $55 refund. At this point, I am still out $137 with nothing to show for it--still a broken dryer and no resolution. This company misdiagnosed the problem, charged for work that didn't fix anything, and then ignored multiple attempts to resolve the matter professionally. I cannot recommend Mr. Appliance of North Central Ohio (Perrysburg).

The freezer is fine, delivery was fine. The range and refrigerator delivery was ridiculous. Instead of showing up by 5 pm as promised, the two deliverymen came to my house at 10:30 pm on a Friday night! Whoever heard of such a thing! By the time they left it was 11:30 and they still had to drive back to Detroit. So whoever does the delivery scheduling has no idea what they are doing! The bigger issue is that whoever from the store that packed up the burner caps, grill plate and grills, had thrown everything into a plastic bag and every piece of metal got scratched. I had to request replacements for everything. In addition, the refrigerator handle to the bottom freezer had a big dent in the center, and so did the range handle. I requested replacements for everything. It took forever to get them! The burner caps, grill plate, grills and refrigerator handles took about two months to come in. Unfortunately, the refrigerator handle was stainless steel instead of brushed steel like the original was. The range handle took 10 months to get a replacement and that was only after I visited the store and bugged the manager literally every 3-4 weeks during that time. I did receive some compensation back, however, the entire hassle was not worth it. I will not return to ABC Warehouse, ever!

I was able to use my AC for about a month in the summer of 2011, the next year in July of 2012, I turned on the AC and it was blowing warm air, after a couple of days of not being able to use the upstairs of my house do to the excessive heat, Carl Paul finally shows up, he says the AC was leaking, fills it up with Freon and charges me a $130.00. Keep in mind he had just installed the AC a year ago. Now comes 2013, and the heat wave of July, I go to turn on my AC, again blowing warm air, at this point I am frustrated beyond belief, I attempt to call Carl Paul for a week in July no answer or response for a week. Irate, I call a goodman dealer named Vern Llyod (Vern Lloyd refrigeration heating and cooling) he comes checks the AC, notices the loose screw on the outside unit, charges it with Freon tightens the screw charges me $137.00 and goes on his way. Again we have AC for about a month. Now comes the heat of August 2013, I turn on my AC, again blowing warm air, I go outside to discover ice forming on the coils of the outside unit. Now, I am about to lose my mind, surprisingly Carl Paul finally calls me back, apparently he was on vacation and is too stupid to A) have somebody fill in for him or B) leave a message on your phone saying you are on vacation. He takes a look at the unit on Wednesday August 21st, says the compressor is bad and because your unit is under warranty we will have the manufacturer ship out a new one. It is now August 30th, and I still do not have a working AC, unbelievable. Carl Paul is one of the worst contractors I have ever hired. He is incompetent, unapologetic, and never keeps his word, if you hire him you are most certainly taking your chances. Also, was not super pleased with Vern either, if you charge someone $137.00 their AC unit should last longer than a month, he could have done more to check his work. If this is the kind of people Goodman works with than, I would strongly advise against buying Goodman AC units at least in Northwest Ohio, and South East Michigan. New update as of today August 30, 2013, Carl informs me that Johnstone supply (419) 893 1043, is the reason my compressor has taken so long. I call Johnstone supply, person on the other end seemed nice and knowledgeable, and explained that the part has been on backorder from Goodman, apparently Goodman must ship a lot of these compressors out to fix their broken AC's. Not sure who is entirely to blame, a lot of blame to go around, mostly Carl Paul and Goodman the manufacture. Either way if this is how Goodman treats their customers, I am surprised their still in business.
